Chapter 4 Chapter 4 Guardian Angel

He looked at me in surprise.

"What is his name?" he asked, ignoring me while his eyes darkened.

I was silent. Even if I told him, there was nothing he could do. He had become an Alpha.

"Tell me. Elizabeth." He kept pestering in anger.

"You can't help me, so I'll-"

"What's his name?" he asked again furiously.

"Gabriel Wood!"

That caused both of us to be silent.

"Alpha Gabriel. The new Alpha. The one who danced with you and been with you in school?"

"Yeah," I replied. "I don't want his big, ugly ass."

He took a deep breath. He was obviously trying to control the anger within him .

Maybe he would finally understand what I meant when I said he couldn't help him.

"Come with me."

He grabbed my arm and led me to the West Moon Pack. I was scared to death

Once inside the West Moon Pack, Mike stared at me.

"I want you to stay with me all the time."

I gaped at him wondering what he wanted to do.

It was just few hours after the banquet, everything was very tidy. There was no indication that anything had happened here. Everything was in order.

"I'll fight you, Gabriel!" he announced sternly. I stared at him in confusion.

Things was getting crazier! Was he really challenging an Alpha?

"What are you trying to do? Let's go!" I said and pulled his arm.

"Follow me!" he shouted angrily. His wolves have the upper hand. He was stronger and he pulled me back.

I quickly hid I didn't want to make him angry.

"Please, Moon Goddess, get Gabriel out of here. Take him anywhere, but here. I am not ready for this" Before I saw him, I had a premonition that he was coming. His earthy scent, as well as his musky scent, drove me and my wolf mad.

I was confused by the traction. I thought all mates bond would be broken once the mates rejected each other. I couldn't understand why mine was different.

Gabriel said through gritted teeth, "Mike Bartlett, how could you come to me, without my permission. You came here with her, and growl at me?" he sounded very angry that his voice sent cold shivers down my spine.

I glanced at what he was wearing. He wore a pants, white vest, what was he wearing underneath? His black hair was loose and messy. He was extremely handsome.

My wolf was whimpering inside me that I almost threw up . She was even more upset when she learned that I had found him and we were rejected.

"Why?" Mike asked, moving closer to Gabriel. I saw everyone rushing out and surrounding the lively place. I couldn't look them in the face. I'm so embarrassed. Just then, I heard Wilson coming.

It was going to become very embarrassing.

"First, I was rejected by my mate, and now my brother is ready to announce it in public."

"What?" Mike looked confused.

I growled to interrupt Mike. It was louder than I expected.

Everyone looked at me. They were surprised to hear my voice.

I didn't want my wolf to hear all of the drama and make her sadder.

"Stop it, Mike!" I said in an alpha tone, hoping he could hear it. I didn't expect much, because he was also an Alpha and far superior to me, but he turned and raised his eyebrows.

"Say no more, Mike," I warned. "I promise you if you don't leave with me at once, I will never come back."

I could feel the powerful look Gabriel threw at me. Hell, I felt like everyone was staring at me! The wolves in this family were always thinking the same way. But I couldn't look into his eyes, let alone other people's eyes! I felt very ashamed. I felt very angry. I had a desire for revenge.

Mike understood what I meant. He stepped back and rushed out of the room while mouthing off at Gabriel.

I finally got the courage to look around. Gabriel's parents and Wilson were there. It was a little too conservative to be surprised.

I bowed my head in shame.

I apologized on behalf of my brother, "Please don't tell Alpha about this. I don't know what came over him. I feel humiliated. I hope you can find a place in your heart and forgive us."

Before I left, I gave Gabriel a thorough look and shook my head.

"Coward," I uttered with disgust.

A ray of light flashed before his eyes. I didn't get it, and I didn't care. With that, I took to my heels and rushed out.

The next morning, I felt so tired. What happened last night kept me awake all night.

Mike was annoyed that I apologized at the West Moon Pack room after he left, so last night he completely ignored me. I'm glad he didn't give me any trouble.

I reluctantly got out of bed.

Five minutes later, I began to prepare for the day's work. I showered, brushed my teeth and wore a white shirt and blue ripped pants. I parted my black hair to the sides to let it dry in the wind.

I put on my slippers and went downstairs.

Odin teased, "You haven't left !" I couldn't help smiling.

Everyone was seated at the table. Alpha, Grace, Beta and my brother.

As soon as I saw the Alpha, what happened last night came to my mind immediately. I tried my best at ignoring them.

Okay, so my parents didn't know about what happened last night.

I walked over to Mike and sat down next to my mother. Mike looked tired in his pajamas. He didn't look me in the eye.

I called him and hoped he would get back to me but I didn't get anything. He ignored me completely

My father was chatting with Odin when he suddenly looked at me.

"I forgot!" he said suddenly, "Do you know what day it is?"

Odin said calmly, "July 10"

"Write it on our calendar!" he said excitedly

Odin looked at his companion Vida and was equally confused.

I saw that Mike was a little upset, so I growled under my breath.

"Elizabeth is here," he said flatly.

The sound of his voice made me tremble.

"Attend the- "

I already knew what he wanted to say. I was breathing heavily, and my hands were shaking slightly, and finally I hid both hands under the table.

"Alpha College" Father continued. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
