Chapter 4 Raging Wolf

King checked the authenticity of Hera's design results, and he suddenly furrowed his brow, saying, "Darn! These are original data," he said irritably. "How about it, young master? Is the data genuine?" Juyan asked. "I already know, and you're still asking!" Find another design.

Currently, King was in his office, examining Hera's meticulously crafted work. A week had passed, but none of the interior designs matched Hera's capabilities. For a week, the CEO had been furious, and his subordinates were the clear targets. Juyan's guards struggled to tame the raging CEO.

Like today, "Hey, guys, this is crazy! I'm a CEO, and I'm working in such a messy room. What will the world think?" he said in frustration. "Can't you find a single design better than what that woman did?" he said, glancing sharply at Juyan.

Secretary Wina, who was in the room, said, "Boss King, what if we call Miss Hera again and apologize for the company's mistake in accusing her of plagiarism?"

"Young master, Secretary Wina's idea isn't a bad one," Juyan said, surrendering to King's numerous demands.

"What did you say? Apologize to that woman? Ugh ... I refuse; I'm disgusted! She's arrogant for no reason; she's just done some designs and already acts all proud."

"But Boss King, the evidence is that we've created a new promotion according to the design you wanted, but none of them are as competent as the designs made by Miss Hera."

"One advantage of Miss Hera's designs is that she makes them from the heart to the point that she told me while I was having lunch on her last day at this office that she worked on the design all night and only finished it just before dawn."

"Yes, clearly, Miss Hera was angry, accused of plagiarism. It's like our company doesn't appreciate her at all." Wina's piercing words continued to flow from her talkative mouth. Juyan had tried to get her to be quiet several times, but she didn't understand Juyan's signals until King gave her a sharp look. Only then did Wina realize and quickly left the CEO's office.

"Young master, what Secretary Wina said does have some truth," Juyan said. "Give me Miss Hera's employment contract and leave me alone," King said firmly. Juyan immediately handed over the signed employment contract with Hera to King and quickly left the room.

King had been flipping through Hera's employment contract for a while, looking to get her back to work on his office design. But there was nothing he could do to trap Hera. It gave him a headache. Not to mention his mother's desire to match him with a colleague's daughter, which made things even more complicated.

King's parents, who were in America, were coming to Indonesia next Sunday. King had to prepare to introduce a woman to them as his potential wife because if he didn't, he would be willing to be arranged with a woman of his parent's choice, which he didn't want. King still held his feelings for Gladis.

Only Gladis could make his heart race and feel love. He had tried to build relationships with other women, but his efforts had repeatedly failed. He adored Gladis too much. So other women were passing clouds to him.

Hera's father's condition had been deteriorating lately, and with the remaining savings, Hera took him to see a doctor. The doctor at the hospital mentioned a narrowing of blood vessels in her father's head, which caused prolonged strokes and potential nerve damage that could last a lifetime. This meant there was a small chance her father could recover, but it could be prevented with a nerve recovery operation.

Hera asked the doctor about the approximate cost of her father's treatment. The doctor informed her it would cost a considerable amount, reaching billions of rupiahs. The doctor's explanation took aback Hera. Together with her stepbrother Ewan, they took Mr. Tobi home. Hera told her brother to keep the high treatment cost a secret from their father.

While Mr. Tobi was resting in his room, Ewan approached Hera, who was checking online orders they needed to ship. "Sis, what if I quit college and look for a full-time job to help with Dad's medical expenses?" Hera immediately stopped her activities and glanced at her brother, "Sis doesn't agree with your idea. You should focus on your studies and help me with online sales; that's your task, and I'll figure out the rest."

But Ewan seemed to disagree with Hera's opinion. "But sis, what about Dad's medical expenses? Where will you get that much money from?" Hera sighed and told her brother that she would think about how to raise the funds for their father's treatment.

Hera still hadn't told Ewan or her father that she had quit her job at Quality TBK. Currently, Hera was in her room, going through documents in the closet. She planned to mortgage their house certificate to the bank.

After saying goodbye to Ewan, she rushed to a bank. When she arrived at the bank, the officer explained that the land and house certificate she wanted to mortgage was only worth five hundred million. Hera suddenly felt discouraged. The amount offered by the bank was far from the amount she needed for her father's treatment.

Unbeknownst to her, Secretary Wina was at the same bank. She overheard Hera's conversation with the bank officer. After finishing her business at the bank, she wanted to find Hera and ask about her situation. However, Wina couldn't locate Hera. She decided to return to the office. Upon arriving at the office, Wina told Juyan that she had seen Hera at the bank, and it seemed she was struggling with money. Juyan immediately informed King about it.

King promptly called Wina to his office and informed her of what he had seen. "It seems Miss Hera is having financial difficulties, boss. She was about to mortgage her house certificate, but the bank's offer was too low. She might be looking for another bank that offers a larger loan," Wina also told him the amount the bank had offered her.

King momentarily thought, " It seems like she's in financial trouble." He instructed Juyan to increase the offer for creating his office design. "I've already done that, boss, but Miss Hera hasn't opened her email."

"Damn it! She's so arrogant. She needs money but pretends to be all high and mighty," King erupted angrily because of Hera.
