Chapter 6 The Banquet Shock

Mr. Singers let out a wistful sigh before replying, "Because you remind me of my daughter and my wife."

Observing the furrowed brows and distant gaze of Mr. Singers, Andrea realized that her question had stirred up painful memories for him.

"I'm sorry," she murmured, bowing her head apologetically.

"If you truly regret it, then please demonstrate your sincerity by signing these papers," Mr. Singers suggested with a gentle smile.

Andrea gazed at him intently for a moment before mustering the courage to ask, "Would you be willing to assist me in seeking revenge against those who have wronged me deeply?"

Nervously clutching the pen in her hand, Andrea began signing the documents without hesitation the instant Mr. Singers gave a nod.

Once she finished signing, Mr. Singers gently reminded her, "You didn't read the documents."

"I have faith in you," Andrea replied resolutely.

Mr. Singers was momentarily taken aback, his expression transforming into a subtle smile.

"Mrs. Singers, I am going to introduce you to everyone as my wife. Are you ready?" Mr. Singers asked tentatively, his familiar quizzical expression on his face.

Remembering the hurtful treatment she had endured from the Anderson family and the man she had once trusted, Andrea nodded resolutely and replied, "Yes."

"Excellent!" Mr. Singers exclaimed with delight, as he discreetly pressed a button under the table in front of him.

A few minutes later, the door slowly swung open, and the mansion's butler entered the room. A neatly groomed man with a slight slant to his eyes, dressed impeccably in a uniform paired with sneakers, appeared before them. He looked to be around thirty years old and greeted them with a respectful bow.

"Prepare her for the grand event tonight; make her the envy of Vegas and the most stunning bride in the world," Mr. Singers instructed gravely, his voice resonating with authority.

"Mrs. Singers, please," the butler gestured politely as he invited Andrea to accompany him.

Andrea hesitated, but when Mr. Singers nodded in her direction, she felt reassured and followed. She couldn't explain it, but she found herself placing unwavering trust in Mr. Singers.

As soon as they exited the living room, Tony let out a rueful sigh. He couldn't comprehend why his boss was marrying a woman he considered unattractive.

"Boss, are you sure about entrusting her with all your assets so hastily?" Tony asked, his expression filled with disbelief.

Surprised by the question, Mr. Singers turned to Tony, "Do you wish to marry Andrea?"

Tony's eyes widened in shock at the unexpected query. He hadn't anticipated such a question from his boss, especially while he was trying to understand the reasons behind Mr. Singers' quick decisions.

"Certainly not; I'm not attracted to overweight women. My tastes are quite different, Boss," Tony replied, shaking his head in refusal.

Mr. Singers responded, "What a pity; one day, you will regret your decisions today,"

Before leaving the room, Tony startled by his boss's words couldn't help but wonder if his boss had been bewitched by Andrea.

How can he regret missing out on marrying a fat and ugly lady?

Impossible! He shook his head and left the room also.

The Singers group made a big splash in the media with two major announcements.

After being single for forty years, Mr. Singers is set to introduce his new wife at the bouquet event, alongside unveiling the partner for the Singers Group's Vegas branch.

The vibrant city of Vegas was abuzz with excitement over these revelations, particularly among the guests who were diligently preparing for the upcoming event.

Among the invitees were Valentine Anderson and Rose Ferguson, who were spotted sharing a tender moment in their car outside the Singers' lavish mansion. Arriving just ten minutes before the bouquet ceremony, Rose expressed her confidence to Valentine, "I promised you, Val, I'll secure the project for you and establish a partnership with the Singers Group."

Valentine, beaming with gratitude, replied, "I never once doubted you, Rose."

Rose gently lifted his chin with two fingers before leaning in to kiss him, her voice commanding as she spoke, "You made the right choice in divorcing that ugly fat woman. With me by your side, all your dreams can come true. Remember, without me, you're nothing, Valentine. But with me, you can be everything you've ever wanted."

With that, Rose released his chin, and they both stepped out of the car, their arms intertwined like a couple as they made their way into the bouquet hall.

Their entrance didn't go unnoticed, drawing whispers and curious glances from the onlookers. Friends and acquaintances of Rose and Valentine approached them to strike up conversations.

"Valentine, where is Andrea Singers, your wife?" asked Mr. Aton, the executive director of Wilson Group, a man in his late fifties who had a close relationship with both Valentine and Andrea during her time working under him. He was intrigued by Andrea's absence and had always seen her as a daughter figure.

Witnessing Valentine displaying public affection with another woman stirred up a wave of anger within Mr. Aton.

"Mr. Aton, since you're here, I want to make an announcement. Andrea and I are no longer married; we have finalized our divorce," Valentine declared loudly, his voice echoing across the spacious bouquet hall where everyone had gathered, despite the event not having begun.

"Liar! You're a liar!" Mr. Aton retorted furiously. He couldn't believe that Andrea, who deeply loved Valentine Anderson, would ever agree to a divorce.

"Watch your words, old man," Rose Ferguson said confidently, "Valentine and I will be getting married next week, and you're invited." With that, she pecked Valentine on the cheek and affectionately grabbed his arm, further aggravating Mr. Aton.

Valentine's expression darkened; he had no intention of marrying Rose the following week. As he opened his mouth to respond, a voice cut through the tension.

"Please take your seats, everyone; Mr. Singers has arrived," announced the event planner over the microphone.

The guests promptly found their seats as they waited for Mr. Singers and his wife's arrival.

Mr. Singers and Andrea entered the venue together. Upon seeing Andrea Valentine Anderson rise from his seat with a look of disbelief etched on his face, Valentine's expression turned to one of shock.
