Chapter 4 The Allister Family's Daughter-in-Law

"WHAT???!!!" Mina exclaimed with wide eyes.

Alby didn't comment, pretending not to hear and focusing on running his car.

"Put me down! Put me down here!!!" pleaded Mina suddenly.

Alby turned his head towards the beautiful girl then slowed down his car and pulled over. He had stopped the car.

"You want to come down? Go ahead! It just so happens that the car following us is still behind, so they can take you straight to the wedding and you marry the man you don't like. Congratulations!!!"

Mina snorted in annoyance at Alby's words. "It turns out you're an annoying person. Whereas before I thought you were a good person, but you are the same. You help with strings attached and want a different fee too. You pervert!!!"

Alby suddenly glared after hearing Mina's words. "What did you say, pervert? Who's a pervert?"

"You. Why are you telling me to take off my clothes?"

Alby pursed his lips then seemed to be holding back his laughter as he looked at Mina. Mina was of course confused by Alby's reaction.

"Why are you laughing? You think this is a joke. Taking advantage of an opportunity when people are in trouble."

"I'm not taking advantage of an opportunity. I'm just asking you to do me a favor. I think you misunderstood what I said earlier. I told you to take off your clothes because I don't like your clothes. Moreover, your clothes don't match the place we have to go to."

Mina was dumbfounded by Alby's words. The beautiful girl was even more confused at this time. Alby seemed to know Mina's confusion. He let out a long sigh and then looked intently at Mina.

"I have to attend an event and I need a partner to come there. That's why I'm asking you for a favor. So do you want to help me?"

Mina was silent, after a while she finally nodded her head in response to Alby's request.

"Okay. Before that, we have to go somewhere first."

Alby started the car again, Mina was slightly relieved and looked back at the car. She didn't see the black sedan that followed them earlier. Mina didn't know the black sedan that followed them earlier was just Alby's trick.

After a while, they arrived at a boutique. Mina was immediately asked to enter and in an instant was transformed to look elegant and beautiful. The same thing happened to Alby. The handsome man looked very charming this time. The black tuxedo wrapped his proportional body perfectly. His hair was combed, his sideburns looked neat and the thin mustache sweetened his appearance.

They came out of the boutique and walked hand in hand to the car. Mina looked beautiful walking beside Alby then immediately got into the car. Alby started the car again, ready to drive away.

"May I know, where are we going?" asked Mina.

"To my grandfather's birthday. Didn't you recognize him earlier?"

Mina was immediately wide-eyed at Alby's answer. Her lips closed tightly again and she didn't dare to say a word. The car they were riding in continued to drive through the turning of the day that was getting dim. Throughout the trip, Mina was silent.

She still couldn't believe today's events had gone by so quickly and Mina could hardly believe it. Her return two years before her death was a miracle. That means God gave her a chance to change her destiny. It's just that why did God even bring Mina together with Alby, the man she saw shortly before her death?

Is Alby the only one who can help Mina get her revenge? Revenge for death in a different life? Revenge for the treatment of her husband, stepmother, and stepsister?

"We're here!!!" said Alby, breaking Mina's reverie.

Mina was stunned when she saw the building in front of her. Her eyes widened when she saw the palace-like house in front of her. The house stood majestically in the middle of a large area of land. It resembled a palace and was European in style. Several pillars stood upright supporting the luxurious house. Balconies and large windows with white color are some of the most prominent things displayed in the European-style house.

Mina stood still in front of the car as she stared unblinkingly at the house in front of her. Mina was used to seeing luxurious houses and even her own house was classified as a luxurious house, but this one was completely beyond her expectations.

"Come on, let's go in!" Alby immediately grabbed Mina's hand and placed it on his arm. The two of them walked hand in hand into the house.

The bustling and frenetic party atmosphere immediately greeted Mina's arrival. Everyone now turned to Mina and looked at her from head to toe. Mina was frightened by the guests' gazes. Perhaps one of them recognized Mina? Maybe they were Bruno's friends, Mrs. Jesica's friends, or maybe her father's friends.

Mina looked down and did not dare to raise her head even a little. She was afraid that her escape would be discovered and she would end up here. Alby seemed to see Mina's expression. Slowly Alby brought his lips to Mina's ear and whispered.

"Raise your head!!! Don't look down and keep smiling!!!"

Mina turned to Alby and shook her head as if rejecting Alby's request. Alby didn't seem to like Mina's answer and instead looked at her sharply. Mina relented then with a long breath slowly raised her head then smiled at everyone present.

"Alby, you're finally here, Darling. I thought you wouldn't come," a beautiful woman greeted Alby.

Alby smiled and greeted the woman while hugging and kissing her cheek. Then shortly a middle-aged man whose face was similar to Alby's also approached. Alby again did the same thing as he did with the beautiful woman earlier. Finally, Mina saw an old man wearing a cane smiling broadly and welcoming them.

"Alby, Grandpa's favorite grandson. You finally came too."

Mina was stunned to see this old man in front of her. "So this is her grandfather," Mina muttered to herself.

Mina smiled, laughing at her stupidity. Why did she say she knew Alby's grandfather when she had only seen his face this time?

"Alby!!! Why don't you introduce this beautiful girl? Who is she?" the voice of Mr. Mike Allister, Alby's grandfather startled Mina.

Mina had hoped that none of Alby's family would want to get to know her, but they were all looking at Mina now. Mina stood still in her place and could only smile. Alby walked over, approached Mina, and then guided Mina to meet her father, mother, and grandfather.

"Her name is Mina Namari. She... she's my future wife."

Suddenly all Alby's family members were surprised, especially Mina. Instantly Mina glared at Alby. While Alby was only silent, pretending not to see Mina's expression. Meanwhile, Mr. Alvin Allister and Mrs. Lisa Allister smiled broadly at their son's explanation.

"So that's why you didn't accept Grandpa's offer of a match back then?"

Alby smiled and nodded. "Yes, Grandpa. Because of her, because of Mina."

Mina turned back to Alby. Even though she hadn't had time to get an explanation about Alby's statement earlier why it complicated her situation. Mrs. Lisa and Mr. Alvin immediately approached Mina. Mina looked awkward and nervous.

Alby hadn't told her about this at all, so of course Mina was at a loss as to what to say.

"So Mina, when can we come over to your house?" said Mrs. Lisa Allister.

Mina paused and raised her head then glanced at Alby. Alby recognized Mina's gesture and moved closer to Mina while holding her body close.

"Sweetheart... what I meant to ask was, when do we formalize our relationship? When do we get married?"

Mina did not answer but widened her eyes to look at Alby. Why did God give her so many surprises today? Is this the karma she must receive for repeating her life?

"Ma, Pa... Mina and I have agreed to get married next month."
