"He's good, Amy. Do not worry about me." Beatrix didn't want her sister to know how River treated her. Amadea doesn't need to know; she shouldn't. It felt too embarrassing. "You are the one to worry about."
Just like Beatrix didn't want her sister to worry, Amadea was the same. "I'm fine."
"Don't lie; your face clearly shows otherwise."
Amadea smiled, looking sad as she whispered, "I just feel lonely since you left our house."
"Sorry," said Beatrix guiltily.
Amadea immediately shook her head. "As long as you're okay, I don't mind."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Amadea's assistant appeared. "Amy, someone is coming."
"Who?"
"It doesn't seem like a guest," the girl answered hesitantly. "That person is looking for Bea."
Beatrix and Amadea suddenly looked at each other. Both of them were equally confused.
"I'll see him first," said Beatrix quickly. She doesn't know why she suddenly felt uneasy.
"I'll go with you." Amadea immediately followed her sister's steps.
Near the main door, a man was standing waiting. When he saw Beatrix approaching, he greeted, "Miss Beatrix."
"Who are you?" Beatrix asked carefully.
The man nodded politely, then explained, "Mr. Rivers sent me to pick you up."
"Where?" Beatrix's face looked calm, even though her heart wondered how River knew where she was even though she was very careful.
"Mr. River will tell you later."
It was only a brief message, but Beatrix knew she couldn't ignore it. She had to say goodbye before Amadea got into trouble because of her. "Amy, I have to go."
"Where are you going?" Amadea asked suspiciously.
"I still don't know." Beatrix couldn't focus on responding to Amadea because her mind was filled with questions. Would that man punish him again? If true, what kind of punishment will she receive this time?
Suddenly, Amadea grabbed Beatrix's hand. She felt like she didn't want to let go of her sister. "Are you going to be okay?"
"Don't worry, River likes to prepare little surprises for me," said Beatrix, full of lies.
Beatrix did not expect that her lies would come true. River prepared a surprise for her, but not a pleasant one.
Beatrix's anger had not yet finished over the humiliating treatment she received from River this morning at the dining table. The man had done it again, this time even more humiliatingly. River wasn't there with him, but the man knew how to put Beatrix down.
River ordered Beatrix to be taken to a private salon. There, the woman was dressed so that her appearance seemed very striking. From head to toe, Beatrix's current appearance suggests that she was a cheap woman who was River's mistress.
Worse yet, Beatrix had to walk to River's office at the De Luca Suite Hotel & Casino. From her first steps in the lobby until arriving in front of River's room, Beatrix never stopped getting questioning and insulting glances.
Beatrix immediately barged in and vented her anger. "What did you want by asking me to come here?"
"No reason." River was completely unaffected by the woman's annoyance. Instead, she looked at Beatrix from behind the work desk with a mocking smile.
"How could you ask me to dress up like this," Beatrix hissed, unable to understand. Her mini dress was tight and revealing, not to mention her hair color, which suddenly changed to bright red. "Don't you know how people look when they pass me?"
"So what?" River said, not caring.
"Their gazes seemed to say I was a very cheap mistress."
River suddenly snorted in satisfaction. "That's what I want."
Beatrix was furious at River's behavior. "Say quickly, what do you want?"
"You have the day off today. So why don't you accompany me here?" River stood up, circled his desk, and then approached Beatrix.
"Why should I accompany you here?"
River grabbed Beatrix's body and then hugged her waist. "What else do you have to do besides...?"
River deliberately hung up on his words. He grabbed Beatrix's waist and made the distance between them completely disappear.
Beatrix glared in disbelief. "Wasn't your crazy action this morning enough?"
River shrugged casually. "That's nothing yet."
Beatrix tried to escape from River's arms. "But this is the office, and you're working!"
"I can keep working while you give me pleasure." River walked backward slowly while carrying Beatrix in his arms.
"What if someone comes?" whispered Beatrix worriedly.
A wicked smile graced River's face as he said with satisfaction, "That's even better."
"You crazy bastard!" Beatrix cursed hatefully. Now, in her heart, there was no longer any respect left for River, only hatred.
"Swear as you like," River replied without caring. His body had now hit the work table. He slowly turned their positions, lifted Beatrix's body, and then sat her on the work table.
River's fingers traced Beatrix's perfectly exposed skin. River loved the pleasurable sensation that came every time he touched her skin. He wrapped Beatrix's legs around his waist so their bodies were pressed together. River grabbed Beatrix's face and started to bite her slowly. He used his other hand to remove Beatrix's dress, which was so easy to remove.
"The door isn't locked yet," Beatrix moaned between their kisses. She wasn't thinking too much about River touching him again. Beatrix was more afraid that someone would come into this room and see them at any time.
"I deliberately left it open so anyone could see you in this position." River explored the beauty of Beatrix's body, which always succeeded in making him happy. Then, he lifted the bottom of Beatrix's dress to remove the remaining covering. River couldn't hold back any longer. Even though he hated Beatrix, his body wanted that woman.
Whatever River did, Beatrix remained silent because asking for mercy from the cruel man before her was useless. She could only look hatefully at River.
"Mr. River, this is the file you-" River's assistant suddenly burst into the room. The woman froze in place and reflexively twisted her body.
"Come back later." River looked away for a moment before continuing what he was doing.
"Sorry, Sir!" The woman hurriedly disappeared behind the door.
As soon as River finished everything, Beatrix immediately pushed the man's body away. "It turns out this is your goal."
River raised an eyebrow and waited for Beatrix's continuation.
"You deliberately wanted others to see what we did here to embarrass me. That's right, isn't it?"
River brought their bodies together again and gripped Beatrix's shoulders tightly. "That's right. I will humiliate you until you have no self-respect left to look at anyone. I will destroy your life until you have nothing left to be proud of. That's how much I hate you and everyone related to him."
Beatrix shuddered at the hatred that radiated from River's eyes for her. The anger that had been building up turned into fear in a sudden. "Why do you hate me so much?"
River didn't answer; he stared at Beatrix, full of hatred.
"Have I ever wronged you?" Beatrix asked tremblingly. Her mind tried to digest the meaning of River's words. She was still guessing the reason why this man hated her so much.
"You guys made too many mistakes," River hissed coldly.
"Who do you mean?"
"It's not time for you to know yet." River let go of Beatrix and walked away.
"Go. I don't need you anymore today."
Beatrix was flabbergasted. Now, the man just threw her away. River treated her like a paid woman.
When Beatrix was putting her dress back on, River threw something at the woman.
"Take it," said River, now busy with his work again.
"What's this?" Beatrix frowned at the box of medicine that had fallen near her feet.
"Pills to prevent pregnancy."
Beatrix was shocked. She hadn't thought about it before River told her to take the medicine.
Many times, the man touched her without any protection at all. Beatrix couldn't imagine being pregnant because of that man. Just imagining it, Beatrix wanted to die.
"Take it; I don't want you to be pregnant," River said coldly.
"Do you think I want to get pregnant?" Beatrix replied sharply. "I have no intention of being pregnant with your child; I don't even want to imagine it."
