Chapter 4 VALKYRIE HUNTER.

VALKYRIE'S POV.

23 year old Valkyrie Hunter had just finished school with a degree in business administration.

But you may best know her as Genesis.

She fully got her memories back five years ago. She remembered her mom, her sweet mom, her dad, her friends, but most importantly, she remembered the night she died along with everything she'd ever loved. She appreciated the love the sweet couple Philip and Carrie Hunter showed her, but her destiny was greater than living a sweet happy life forgetting what happened to her parents, forsaking the memory of what her home once was. That would be unrighteous of her.

She made a vow, to herself, to the memory of her parents which she once lost, that she would avenge their death, no matter the cost.

She lived in England with the Hunters until five years ago when she remembered. It was heartbreaking for them when she left, but I had to, besides, it was hard to feel such emotions anymore. There was just too much regret.

Her foster father Phil Hunter who works in the medical field claims it's an after effect of losing her memory, he also said there might be some memories that she was yet to recover, and that when she does, her conscience wouldn't feel so much torture.

While her foster mother Carrie Hunter, Valkyrie attended their wedding by the way, but at that time, she thought they had her out of wedlock. She never asked though, there was a fear that she might get the truth if she did, and her subconscious knew my life wasn't that rosy.

Carrie took her to churches, tried to get priests and prophets to talk to God about her mental problem. But it seemed God wanted her that way, he wanted me to honor my parent's legacy.

It was the anniversary of their death today, so she returned for the first time in fifteen years to the place she couldn't remember growing up.

She had a hoodie on over her swimsuit. After offering prayers at the chapel in Changi Resort, she planned to swim a little before retiring to her pre-booked room at the hotel.

After an hour, Valkyrie came out of the chapel and strolled to the beach. When she got there, she realized that everything was different. Yes, they threw parties but the party she saw by the beach was different.

It didn't feel like the family gatherings, it didn't feel like a time to be sober and talk about your day, it definitely didn't feel like bonding time. Well, the town really had changed in the last 15 years.

It was her home once, and it would be her home again. Also, the killer does not stay very far away from the crime scene. She heard this was where they frequented.

The Pandorans.

Valkyrie got a lot of whistles and calls from the guys around the beach, one was even bold enough to come ask her if she was alone and if she wanted to grab a drink with him. She shot him a glare and he disappeared.

The beach was too crowded, it wasn't like it used to be. Then she remembered the area on the other side through the cave entrance, her little paradise where they once built a treehouse, the same place she was violated.

That should be quiet enough for a swim, besides she didn't need the attention just yet.

Getting there, the cave boulder that was shaped like an arc was now decorated with flowers. The whole area was like a garden, beautifully cultured for a quiet time. One could have a wedding here.

She walked further until she reached the private beach area where she and her friends always raced themselves. She also located their little cliff then she took off her hoodie and jumped into the water.

Aella, a small woman with a very fit body was swimming in the area where Valkyrie had just jumped. She had been there a few minutes before Valkyrie got there.

She swam deep in an attempt to catch her engagement ring that had mistakenly slipped from her hands while admiring it inside the water. She was successful but it turns out, her legs were stuck in some vines and the waves were pretty strong so she was stuck gasping for air and struggling to break free.

Until she saw her, Valkyrie at the surface, floating delicately on the water as though she was caressing it. Indulging enough to feel loved but being careful enough not to get hurt. It looked like she was meeting someone she knew after a long time.

Aella tried yelling but to no avail, she was only drinking water, and she was getting full with no oxygen to help her. So she stopped struggling, she let go and let herself fall to the oceans depth.

But before she could completely give up, a hand grabbed her and pulled her out.

She coughed out an incredible amount of water. Her eyes were itchy and she felt nauseous.

"Are you okay?" Valkyrie asked the lady she had just saved.

Aella felt it coming and tried to control it but she couldn't, Valkyrie wasn't lucky enough to get out of the way before Aella pucked on her face.

Valkyrie wiped the slimy thing off her face with an irritated frown on her face.

"I'm sorry" Aella gasped.

"It's okay I guess" Valkyrie got up no longer interested in wasting time on the bimbo. She was clearly one of those girls she saw earlier giggling at every stupid thing their dorky boyfriends says.

"I'll make it up to you" she said helping her clean but only making it worse. "buy you a new swimsuit maybe"

"No!" Valkyrie snapped. "I can get myself a new one, thank you" she got up to leave.

Aella got up after her holding her arm to prevent her from bolting.

"I didn't mean it in that way, I." sighs "I just want to make it up to you" then she put on a cute face with puppy eyes and Valkyrie had to give in because she tried so hard.

"Fine, fine, you can buy me a swimsuit" Aella could tell how hard it was for her saviour to give in.

"Yes!" she clapped jumping slightly "I'm Aella Raven, it's a pleasure meeting you. And thank you a million for saving me. You just saved two lives" she said it all in one breath rubbing her flat tummy. "And you are?"

Valkyrie couldn't place why she just shared such a thing with her.

"I'm Valkyrie Hunter. And I'm also happy I saved two lives, I guess?" she made it sound more like a question.

'Two lives' she had a nostalgic feeling about that but she shook it off not ready for a headache.

Aella laughed at her indecisive tone "So shall we?"

"Yeah, sure, I guess"

They took Valkyrie's car to a mall.

During the short drive Aella received a call, to which she excused herself from their small talk to attend to.

"Hey boo" she chirped. "Yeah, uh uh.... Oh okay.... Why, what did you do?.... Oh God!" at that she slapped her hand on her face in a dace. But the person on the other line kept talking so she had to concentrate again. "What?... Well, surprise!?.... I didn't hide it from you, I only just found out.... You've made it super hard now, are you happy?....fine! See you at dinner."

She let out an exaggerated sigh after hanging up.

"That was my brother, we're so close"

Another unwanted info.

Valkyrie found it amusing. "We're here!" she announced.

"Right, lets go shopping!!!" Aella shrieked getting down from the car and running off into the mall. Valkyrie followed suit.

During the shopping spree, Aella kept dragging Valkyrie to every store until they bought more than they could carry. What was amusing was, Aella acted as though they've always known each other. They ended up shopping for three good hours. That left Valkyrie plenty to take home to her suite.

"I had an amazing time " Aella said almost out of breath.

"Me too!" Valkyrie replied truthfully. She couldn't remember when last she had such a good time with anyone.

"Let's do this again" Aella suggested.

Valkyrie didn't mind the waste of energy. "Sure, anytime just give me a call" she smiled. They had exchanged numbers earlier in the mall.

"I definitely will" Aella glanced at her watch "Oh God, I might be late to dinner"

Valkyrie checked the time and saw it was a quarter past 7.

"Where are you going, I could give you a ride" Valkyrie suggested.

"Really?" Aella asked but was already jumping into the passenger seat.

"Yes" Valkyrie said to herself and the scent Aella left in her wake.

With giggles and laughter, they'd almost arrived at their destination. Aella's home.

"What do you say about joining us?" they had been discussing water parks and it's hazards so Valkyrie was confused as to what she was asking.

"What?"
