Chapter 5 Still mated

Alan's POV

I stretched lazily on the bed and I extended my hand to drag her body to me but I was met with a sense and my eyes went open immediately wondering what was wrong.

I looked around the room in panic looking for that familiar face but I was surprised to be met with nothingness.

"What! She left?" I asked no one in particular and I got out of bed in a hurry trying to check the restroom but it was the same.

She really left!

'How can you let her go? She is our mate!' my wolf growled and I got annoyed with myself because I just did something foolish.

My mate slept beside me overnight but I was stupid not to mark her and let her go instead.

"But how am I going to find her...I am not even a native of here?" I asked no one in particular and I sighed knowing I had to go back to my pack that day.

As an alpha of a pack, I must not stay away from my pack for a long time. That was the reason why I rushed to the business meeting I came to in this town. I just came to grab some drinks with some other alphas and I was lucky to find her sitting alone at the club.

She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and even though she was quite drunk and couldn't make out her thoughts I could feel that she felt our bond and that was the reason I approached her last night but I never knew that she was going to run off the next day.

"Even though she didn't know about the bond last night, I am sure she must have felt it this morning, but why did she run off?" I mumbled to myself and I felt a headache that set in and I hissed in frustration.

My gaze went to the stained bedspread and I felt a warmth spread through my body. I could still remember our passionate night since I was with my senses and how her moans sounded like a melodious song to me and how she held me to herself as I thrust into her...there was no way I could forget that.

"That is the evidence of our night together mate so there was no way you could run from me," I say, going to the bed I sniffed in her alluring scent and my wolf jolted in excitement too.

The door to my room creaked open and my man entered bowing his head.

"We are ready to leave now, Alpha," he said and I shook my head. "It looks like I would have to stay here for a bit longer..we still need to find my mate, your Luna," I said and he gasped.

"You found her?" He asked and I nodded my head. "But she likes to play hide and seek and it's my job to find her," I say getting up and I look at the crumpled bed and my gaze gets hot.

"I am definitely going to find you no matter where you disappeared to," I promised myself and my teeth clamored against each other as I regretted not waking up early to catch up with her.

Ava's POV

I walked out of the club and I was surprised to find the street already bustling with activities and I got worried knowing Georgina might be looking for me but I was relieved to see her running towards me with all smiles.

"Thanks, moon goddess you are okay, I came back for you but you were gone when we were done," Georgina says hugging me and I hugged her tighter because it was like I was trying to relieve the hurt I was feeling inside and Georgina did not ask any questions as she let me hold her tightly.

"I know that you are hurt but can we hurry home now my mother is going to kill us both," Georgina says, taking my hands in hers and she dragged me into a cab.

After alighting from the pack we got back to our pack and Georgina noticed that I was walking funny.

"Is there something that I should know about?" She asked and I bit my lips wondering if I should tell her about what happened the other night but Georgina beat me to it.

"Did you find your mate last night?" She stared intently at me and I tried to avoid her face but she gave me a hard stare not to dare do it.

I was working up wondering what I was going to tell her. Was I going to start by telling her that Alpha was my mate but rejected her? Or about how I met my other mate and we had sex but I escaped before he woke up? He was all just confused.

"I...about that..." I was saying something but someone broke into my words.

"You there!" I heard a cold voice behind me and without turning I could already tell who the voice belonged to.

It was a voice that I have engraved in my heart and there was no way I could forget his tone as he rejected me.

"Good morning Alpha," Georgina greeted as Eric walked close to her and she tugged at me to show respect which I bowed reluctantly.

I felt Eric's eyes boring at me without saying anything and before I could ask him that we would be leaving because my sore legs were about to give away Eric dragged me to his body.

"You! Whose man's scent is on you?" Eric asked his voice to carry venom and I shivered wondering what the man was doing.

"What are you doing? You are hurting..." I was talking, but he yelled at me.

"I am asking you whose scent is on you, woman?" He growled and I shivered because his Alpha's aura was completely depressing.

"Did you perhaps sleep with another man last night?" He asked, staring at me intently and I shivered wondering how he knew and my brain jolted with realization.

'Of course, he knew...we are still mated'...
