Chapter 6 Edina

That night, Edina couldn’t sleep and it came to her well. The whole time she was a person who turned herself upside down, once she slept on her right side, she turned to the left side until she fell asleep on her back. It all came from wet dreams that she was having, she felt as if she had found Nicholas in a dream. She dreamt that she was with Nicholas and they were having a meal together.

“Nicholas ..! Nicholas ..!” she called Nicholas twice who was in front of her eating food and she kept looking at him with love in her eyes.

“Yes, Edina..”

“Don’t call me Edina, just omit E please Call me Dina. I really like it when you call me that Nicholas” Edina said effectively while rolling her big eyes.

“Haha..! OK lemme try if I can, Dina” Nicholas said Edina’s name and made the beautiful woman’s heartbeat with love. Nicholas's act of pronouncing her name felt like she had been appointed to oversee humans entering paradise.

“I like the way you call my name, I didn’t expect it... I didn’t expect you would call me like that, but Nicholas I love you, please understand me”

“Listen.! You know very well that I have a woman who is enough for me. I love her very much. In this, you will have to forgive me,” said Nicholas, who this time put the fork aside and then grabbed the chicken meat and started eating.

“Nicholas, why are you using my love to punish me? Why have you not been a person to appreciate my love but why? Every time I get into the office I think about you, please give me a chance. I promise you I will be a good wife,” said Edina who started to shed tears in front of Nicholas.

“Listen to me again carefully, I know you love me, your love is bigger than even..?” Nicholas was speaking but before he could finish Edina interrupted him.

“I’ll give you all the love that you deserve and I’ll make sure that you don't get hurt like your wife Celine has done to you. Nicholas what kind of heart do you have..? What kind of heart do you have that fails to recognize my sincere burning love for you? You still want Celine, who humiliated you by getting out of marriage? Just rething Nicholas please” Edina said while holding back the tears that were flowing like water in her heart, finally Nicholas looked at her face and called her.

“DINA..! I’m ready but let's make it secret lest I hear that someone else knows, we will make it public when the right time comes, and then we’ll see about marrying you..” Nicholas said while hugging Edina, and when she saw that she was being hugged, she held Nicholas and kissed him in the mouth.

Suddenly she woke up because her phone was ringing, it was clear that the alarm that she set was what was waking her up.

“Khaa..! Man, you couldn’t have waited for me to get a kiss?!” Edina said with disgust while looking at her phone which showed that it was five o’clock.

It was normal for her to wake up at five o’clock to start her daily duties at home, and then after that, she would start getting ready for work at the office.

“I don’t feel like doing anything, let me sleep so that I can be early at the office tomorrow. Then I will ask the boss for an appointment if we can have dinner together” she said and then she pulled her sheet and went to sleep.

Celine was in bed that night, she was sitting against the walls of the house, so still. She didn't want to move into the same bed where her husband was sleeping.

She continued crying while looking at the places where she had been hit, streaks of blood were drawn everywhere, finally, she decided to wake her husband.

“Baby..! Baby..! Nicholas my love, please wake up and let’s talk” she said in a quiet voice which turned into a morning prayer for the believers who go to the mosque because it was the first time that Nicholas pulled the sheet and covered himself from head to toe.

“Nicholas ..! Why don’t you want to listen to me? Why are you making me uncomfortable...? What will happen the day you find out the truth and I’ve disappeared from the world, will you be happy..?” said Celine with tears in her eyes.

“Celine .. Celine a... Celine aa...., Please don’t yell at me, I’ll come and crush you again. Don't try bullshitting your way through this with me.” Nicholas said as he got up and sat straight and then looked at Celine who was sitting as if she was on a prayer.

“Nicholas ..if it's my fault, why don’t you forgive me? If you really loved me, why don’t you know that these are just mistakes that humans make? Well, I didn’t do it and you say I did it, why have I accepted the future and my courtesy so that we can start over” Celine said while trying to wipe away the tears with her palm but still more and more fell from her eyes.

“I know I didn't do wrong but as a woman who loves her marriage, I am sorry. Even if I had done wrong what punishment have you given me..? We didn't live like this, that is, you forgot in the morning when you left, I tied your tie with great love. You carried me and took me out as if I was the one leaving, where did my husband's happiness go? You even dare to raise your hand and hit me. You hit me, it means that you are satisfied despite using a belt. Please give me back your gentle spirit and forgive your wife” Celine now stopped talking while trying to kneel down to ask him to forgive her.

But the devil who breaks marriages was in Nicholas’s forehead who told him that 'Celine is proud of the beauty she has, but if you hit her she will respect you.” When he thought of doing that, he found himself raising his fist which landed in Celine’s chest. Celine fell to the ground like a corpse and lost consciousness.

“Don't you bring me drama, you barbarian..!” Nicholas said and then continued sleeping. He covered himself with sheets like he had in the beginning...
