Chapter 4 Women

It was already evening, the west side of the city received the sun and then the east side received the moon which shone brightly.

The workers as usual started to return to their homes while the queue was big, car after car moving slowly, it created a huge traffic. Nicholas was still in the office hurting his head, he didn’t really want to go home when suddenly his door knocked and he let someone in.

“Boss..! It’s not usual for you to be in the office this hour, so we better leave.” It was Edina who carried her bag on her shoulder ready to leave.

“I don’t know where I’m going..? I’m not comfortable with you seeing me like this Edina but I’m not okay for sure” said the Boss who got up and then sat down again.

“Boss, in the afternoon you asked me about the man who brought the package then now you are saying you are not okay..! What happened Boss..?” Edina asked while her ears were sitting well to find out what her Boss wanted to talk about.

“I wonder... I don’t know why this is happening, I don’t know why or how it has become like this, why women are never satisfied. Where will I hide my face..?” asked Nicholas who began to shed tears

“What’s the problem Boss, because I have never seen you like this. What happened..?” asked Edina.

“I don’t know if it’s a long story or a short one or what..? but it’s one of the most painful stories,” Nicholas said as he pointed towards the table. “Take this and see what your fellow woman is doing to me..! As much as I love Celine, why would she do this kind of stupid thing to me?” Nicholas complained even more while handing the envelope to Edina who accepted it and started to open it.

“What? This is not your wife” Edina moved as she put her bag down with shock from what she held in her hands.

“Yeah..it’s her even if you are deceived by your eyes, it’s really her”

“What happened Nicholas ..?” Edina asked.

“I don’t know, I don’t know what it is and that’s not enough, turn on my phone. I believe you will know why women are likened to the devil” Nicholas said and then took out his phone from his pocket and handed it to Edina who took it from him.

“Ready Boss,” said Edina after turning on the phone.

“Okay go to WhatsApp..!! I mean Celine ..Celine aa Celine aa what’s wrong with this woman..?” He said in a harsh voice while looking at Edina who was in front of him.

Edina went to WhatsApp and then opened his wife's number whom he had saved MY EVERYTHING, her eyes couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

“Jesus Christ...!! My God, isn’t this your wife..?” Edina asked as she wanted confirmation of what she was looking at.

“Yeah..! It’s my legal wife, my fully married wife who we married at the church, man, I don’t know what I’ve done wrong but she will pay for it, I'll let her know who I am, please switch off my phone” Nicholas said to her, then Edina turned off the phone. She looked at him sad

He put his phone down and started the journey of leaving his office while he was swaying, his face was in a constant frown and his eyes were red like a man who smoked weed for the first time all the way to his car.

He put on the gear and started the car whose tires were well covered in the ram which was outside the office and then he got onto the main road from his office to meet his wife.

Celine was in bed with tears in her eyes, she continued looking at the pictures, but she still had questions because the hairstyle she had braided with the person she was seeing in the picture was the same. That person had the underwear that she also owned, she looked closely at the bra and realized that it was really the same it was she who held her breath.

“What’s going on, who has played this game or do I have a twin I don't know about? Let me call Mom, but what if I call Mom and she says we aren’t twins? She would want to know why I’m asking her that. And if she asks me, what will I tell her? ..? Mh GOD please help me, you are my refuge” Celine thought but nothing was working in her head. She was going crazy.

Suddenly her phone rang and she looked at it quickly because she thought that the caller was her husband but it was her mother.

“Why is Mother calling me right now?” she asked herself and then she received her call.

“Hello, Mom..!” Her voice sounded like someone who was coming out of sleep.

“My daughter, how are you..?”

“I’m fine, Mom. How are you?”

“ I am fine don't worry. How are you, what’s going on?” her Mother asked. That question made Celine go quiet for a while, not knowing what to answer at that moment.

“ Can you hear me? What's going on there, is everything alright..“

'Mother, why did you ask this question and I didn't want to tell you, who told you, I would have told her myself' she thought to herself and then said.

“Ha...Here..we are fine Mom..why how..?” Celine answered shakily as she asked her mother again.

When her Mother wanted to answer, suddenly the horn sounded outside and she interrupted her Mother and went to open the door...
