Chapter 7 Alphas Rex Pov

Alpha Rex's POV

"What do you mean by she's gone?!" I yelled, asking my beta for some answers.

Joan was in my bed the night before she went missing for almost a week and he has the guts to tell me she's missing.

"Alpha Rex, we've looked everywhere for her and no one seems to have seen her. Nor even the maids Alpha"

"Your reply is not what I want to hear, Beta. Find. Her"

He left immediately.

Staring down at the paperwork I had to go through, a sigh of frustration escaped me.

Why do I care where she was and why do I feel so unsettled knowing she might be missing?

If made no sense to me!

She's just a maid!

/And your mate Rex, don't ever forget that!/ Aaron snapped, he was as irritated as I was about her absence.

"I am aware of my name Aaron! Where the hell has she gone? Who does she think she is sneaking out of my bed?"

/You were never going to accept her as your name. What point was it for her to stay with you?/

Aaron was starting to frustrate me with his useless talks! I am upset she walked out on me and Aaron is worried that she walked away because of a fact.

My mind is all over the place and I can barely think straight. Tyler had better find that girl and once he finds her. I am going to punish her!

For making me worry like this...

"Someone looks serious"

It was Gwen and she had the most distracting dress on.

"I wasn't expecting you till tomorrow" I return my gaze to the paperwork, determined to bet my act together so I could complete them in time.

"That is no way to say hi to someone you haven't seen in a week Alpha" she said, her word slur with intent.

I know that tone quite well and I had found myself captivated by it in the past but knowing what was coming, I wasn't excited.

"You decided to leave without informing me. "

"Rex, you slept with that disgusting maid! Yes! I heard everything that happened that night!"

I exhaled, understanding where her frustration was coming from.

"I found out she's my mate at the ceremony...."

"Ate ypu going to make that disgusting maid your Luna Rex? You're the most feared Alpha in the whole district and you want to settle for less"

"Gwen..."

She walks closer , her eyes staring into mine with an unreadable expression.

"She's just a one night stand Rex. I'll make you forget all about her"

Her hands moved to my belt, tugging at it and within seconds she was on her knees, taking me in her mouth.

She felt so warm and as much I wouldn't want to admit, she knew how to pleasure a man, one of her many assets.

I held her hair in place, thrusting the length of me in her mouth...

Although her intention was for me to forget all about Joan, she only reminded me of her.

Joan's POV

His hands were all over me and the room was pitch dark,I could barely see anything or his face....

His lips met mine in a fierce kiss, exploring and teasing my response. I melted when he moved my thigh closer to his waist, grinding hard to my centre.

His lips went down to my neck and his hands went down , rubbing over my panties.

My body exploded with pleasure and all I wanted was nothing bit more. More than the kiss and certainly more than the caress...

I could feel just how hard he was ..how much he wanted me...

His fingers went in between my thighs and slipped under my panties.

I clenched to him as stroke me and the look on his face when I moan in response....

"You're beautiful" he whispered in my ears..

"Joan!!"

I jerked up from the bed, frightened by the sudden call of my name.

"Don't do that child. I was worried something had happened to you"

I took a glance around me,I was in my room...

Not in Rex's arms..

Not in his bed.

It was all a dream but my body trummed like he had been with me just seconds ago.

"You're sweating, child, are you alright?" Ms Anna asked, she looked genuinely worried

"I'm okay ma. I..i had a dream" I muttered

"Must have been a nightmare for you to sweat so much " She said, still worried

"I'll go and get some water. I'm alright Ms Anna"

She nods.

"I wanted to tell you that I made you lunch. I have to visit a friend and I can't explain who you are just yet. I hope you understand me child"

"I understand ma'am. I hope you enjoy your meeting" I offered with a smile.

"Alright. Keep the doors locked and don't cone out of the house"

She ordered before walking out of the room.

I sat down on my bed, running my fingers through my hair.

I can't believe I had a dream about that night.

I woke up full of regrets bit the fact remains that ... .Alpha Rex...

It...it was amazing.

I have no other word for it but I hate myself for this.

How could I have enjoyed something like that,knowing fully well he was the enemy and worst still, the mate that would reject me without prior warning.

I walk out of the room and help myself with a glass of water, gulping down the cold liquid.

...his hands were firm, holding mine over my head...

My eyes snap open.

Alpha Rex is....everywhere!

I can't shut my eyes without him invading my memory! I ran away from him but it appears he is closer than I could imagine!

"Stop this Joan! His father killed yours! You can think about that night like some shamless woman!" I said out loud, angry that my body refuse to cooperate with me.

This had to stop and right away!
