Chapter 2 Starting Work

While making myself comfortable in the waiting room, Aimee returned with the cup of coffee.

Thanks, I tell her but it seems she's quite furious, she ignores my outstretched hand and drops the mug on the glass stool beside me. She also has a box of suit which she throws at me .

Put this on and stop embarrassing yourself.

After saying this, she leaves and Shannon came in moments later.

I took a sip of the coffee and found it very hot.

Follow me, I came to tell you that you now hold a very sensitive position in this company and so you'll start work tomorrow.

It looked like I was blabbering because Shannon only shaked her head and pointed to a changing room . She also gave me a manual concerning the do's and don'ts of the company and explained to me that the CEO wasn't in need of security men. Of course, he had many swooning by his side and one was not employed based on application but on intense rigorous training.

When I was done dressing, she assigned someone to lead me out of the company.

After leaving Grey Buck Estate, I waved down a taxi and rushed to a boutique beside my house. With the little amount of money in me, I managed to buy a third class black suit along with a lemon green purse as my taste was, I also bought grilled corn and can water. That was more than enough for my food for the day

I turned of my alarm clock and continued sorting out my clothes for the day. This is my first time working but I'm not feeling nervous or sweaty. Am I not the type that throws tantrums wherever I go, everything I want will always go the way I want it...

I'm late today. Again.

But I did wake up earlier than yesterday.

I'm still trying to adjust my body to get used to waking up by 7, it's really hard but I know it'll soon be a part of me.

After putting on the expensive suit, Aimee threw at me, I slipped into my black flat shoes, one that I share with roaches. I remember I'm short of money after I was done dressing, so I grab my bag and rush out to my neighbor's door.

A twelve yr old boy opened the door.

I've gotten a job Stuart and I need 10dollars.

Stuart returned with the money and handed it to me.

I touched my hair and sighed, But I find it very unique. Bye, I scurried down the stairs and away to the bus stand down the road.

I scratch my head thinking where last I kept the manual. I remember I had used it to wrap the grilled corn I bought yesterday.

Jacqueline, Shannon called someone whom I later found was her assistant, and she instructed her to take me to my office.

I was not ready to say why so I began helping myself up the stairs.
