Chapter 4 Four

"Sorry ma'am, your child has dengue fever. Since when did she have a fever?" asked the doctor.

"Since last night, Doc. I have been given fever-reducing medicine but how come I still have a fever and just now I feel the fever is getting higher," answered Malisa. The choice was right because it was not an ordinary fever experienced by Katy. But dengue fever can be fatal if it is too late to get treatment.

"Thank goodness you weren't too late to take her to the hospital. Your child must receive treatment. After this, please take care of the administration first, so he can be transferred to the pediatric ward!" doctor's order.

Malisa nodded. She still has savings in the account she brought with her. She hoped that was enough for now. If it's not enough, she will ask Doni. Although she didn't expect much.

After getting a child's inpatient room, Katy was then transferred there. Seeing Katy having an IV in her hand made Malisa unable to bear it. She felt that if she could replace Katy's position, she would have done it. As a mother, of course, she can't bear to see her child sick.

"Be patient, honey. You are a strong child. We will fight together, okay?" Malisa said softly to Katy. Whatever happens, she will always be beside Katy. Malisa's thoughts were far away from her mother who was sick. She didn't even know what her mother was sick with. Because she was busy with the problems she faced until she had not had time to contact her parents again. But her current position is waiting for Katy to be sick at the hospital. It would be sadder for her parents. It's better if Malisa doesn't call them first.

Meanwhile, at Doni's house, Mona, who is annoyed with Malisa's attitude, complains to Doni.

"Doni, why is Malisa so annoying? She doesn't cook for us and just leaves the house," said Mona.

"Just let it be! She must be depressed too. I've also taught her a lesson. It's better if we just do it easy!" Doni, who was thirsty for sex, then asked Mona to have sex again, even though last night he had three times.

"I'm tired and hungry. I want to eat first. My energy is used up just to satisfy your lust, Doni," Mona refused.

Doni, who is drunk with sex, doesn't care about Mona's complaints. He grabbed Mona and then carried Mona onto the bed and immediately channeled his desires. She doesn't know what made Doni too obsessed with sex. Malisa just couldn't stop thinking and felt unable to.

Malisa, who accompanies Katy at the hospital, doesn't care if Doni wants to go there or not. At least she only did what was best for her little daughter. She felt that Katy's fate was very unfortunate. Her father was to sex maniac to have betrayed her mother like that. Katy is still very young and has to feel the rift between her mother and father.

Malisa was determined that Katy should be happy even though later she would only be with her. Malisa must be able to be a mother and father figure at the same time for Katy.

Katy, who has had an IV tube attached since morning, often cries. This made Malisa not have the heart, Katy. She continued to carry Katy and strengthen Katy. Katy is also only still drinking breast milk, and it's not time to eat yet. So Malisa's condition is required to be fit to produce abundant breast milk.

A female nurse came to see Katy's condition.

"Hello, Katy. Are you well?" greeting the nurse

"So far still crying. Is that normal?" asked Malisa.

"Tomorrow morning, Katy's blood will be checked again. It's normal to cry, ma'am. Because she's still a baby, she can only cry when her body feels uncomfortable. Are you alone? Is there no one to take care of your child?" replied the nurse.

"Nothing. Can I go to the bathroom for a while or not? Please watch over my child for a while," asked Malisa. Since earlier she has won to hold back her bowel movements and also sticks to her body. She will do it quickly. Because Katy needs it.

"Oh, you can, ma'am. Please go to the bathroom first, I will look after Katy," replied the nurse. Even though she was crying, Katy was still temporarily left with the nurse. At least Malisa wants to wash her face because she hasn't touched water since last night. Even if Katy sleeps when she is turned on in bed she immediately wakes up and this makes Malisa unable to bear and is willing to hold back her urination or defecation.

Malisa took a quick shower and relieved herself. The bathroom is also in the Katy ward. Malisa no longer heard Katy's cries, which made her feel a little relieved.

When Malisa came out, it turned out that Katy was sleeping with the nurse's prince.

"Let me replace you," said Malisa.

"It's okay, Mom. I'll be sorry later when Katy wakes up. You can just find something to eat first! You also need to eat a lot so that there's also a lot of milk production," said the nurse.

Malisa is happy to have someone replace Katy. She hasn't eaten anything since yesterday. Just ate milk this morning. She also forgot to ask permission from her superiors at the office because she did not come to work. Malisa doesn't even think about going back to work because there is no longer any hope of being able to leave Katy.

Maybe when she comes home from the hospital, Malisa will think about resigning from her office.

Malisa bought three boxes of rice. She can eat until tomorrow morning. Because she doesn't expect that there are nurses who are good and willing to replace Katy. After everything was done, Malisa returned to Katy's ward. Katy was still sleeping on the nurse's lap.
