Chapter 5 5

Believe him This was his secret and it had everything to "I'm sorry I'm tired and I can't think straight and I can't tell you I can't just trust me I love you and I trust you", he spoke as I re-examined his red bloodshot eyes and helped him to bed. He soundly went to sleep with me cuddling next to him. He had acted unreasonable and this secret he had, sounded big but I trusted him enough knowing that it had nothing to do with me.

A doorbell sounded from the door as I nudged Raymond trying to get up and when I saw the time I realized I was late.

"I was going to have dinner with some friends, I should let you sleep", I added as he stuck a shirt on and came outside of the door as I rushed to slip on a dress.

Raymond's POV

She dragged me out of bed without a word, I was curious to wonder how the girl who had been closed off and wouldn't let a single soul help her was now making friends with everyone who passed her. There they were the men, and I knew as I saw Victoria peeking from the side she expected me to say hello.

"I'm Raymond nice to meet you", I shook both of their hands as they introduced themselves. My parents always called me the observer, I noticed everything that some people thought was peculiar. Their rings on the same finger as each other.

"Are you both married?", I asked as they nodded and I realized their hands intertwined as he kissed him on the cheek and I began to feel like a complete fool. Stupid assumptions, I should've known it the minute they didn't look at her the same way I did.

"To each other, did Victoria not tell you?", he asked as I had the most dumbfounded expression smeared all over my face.

"I'll see what's taking her so long", I left dumbfounded as I saw the sparkle from a very red dress glisten off of her.

"You didn't tell me they were gay", I whispered into her ear as she wiped on some lip gloss.

"Did it matter? I need you to know I trust you, but you don't no matter what they are, who they are or what they like, that shouldn't matter to you. I need you to trust me with anyone I go to dinner with, I love you as much as you make me mad, I love you, but I'm surrounded by men, sadly they work with me, they surround me everywhere I go and I understand your caution but if you trust me, I promise I will always come home to you, and besides I don't limit your girl friend group to lesbians so don't limit mine", she spoke with wise words and she was true and right. Completely right.

"I'm sorry, I trust you and I'm willing to talk more about this later if you're up for it", I hugged her softly feeling her hands smooth against my back.

"I have an idea, go get dressed", I stayed in my spot as she pushed my back to go into the never ending closet. I got dressed and as I came out there was no one there. Except a note, 'Went to get groceries, we're cooking at the hotel tonight' we'll be back soon' the note read as I grabbed my laptop and slid it over, trying to see if there was updates on my hopeful capture.

Victoria's POV

We knocked on the door with the groceries in hand. Raymond opened it in a tie and a suit, as he helped us inside. The night went by beautifully, Raymond couldn't have been in a better mood, he was smiling and I knew he was doing it for me.

"Thank you", I kissed him as I went with him to grab the wine glasses from the cabinets.

"For what", he said as I kissed his cheek again.

"For being nice to them, I really like them, they're really nice", I noted and he nodded his head. We wandered back to the group and ate Frank's wonderful food. Towards the end of the night Frank and Raymond had been talking about him owning his own business. Henri had pointed me out all the spots I had to see, including the underground ones. The night ended early as Henri and Frank both had work the next morning.

As soon as they left the front door and Raymond locked it, his hands were cupped against me as I kissed him, trying to take this to the open bed that felt like it was miles away.

"We're having a great discussion", he pulled my dress off as he remarked something he said earlier and I smirked. He tore the dress off and kissed my naked body with passion, he slid on a condom and entered me. I screamed out in ecstasy as he kissed me covering up my loud moans.

We laid exhausted next to each other and all I could think about was how lucky I was. I was in Paris with someone who loved me, someone who protected me and the people I loved.

"I love you", he whispered into my ear softly as I nuzzled into his chest.

Everyday went on like this, he avoided the calls that overly wrung in his pockets, his emails would ding, every step of the way and yet he didn't answer them. We went around the world of Paris visiting every little coffee shop Henri had written down and every art gallery. We had lost our minds in Paris viewing every spot, but the sex was like no else. Magic spewed through our body in the city of love as we spent every breathing moment, pleasing one another. The week had passed by as Raymond had gone on his computer once and as I peeked at it he was trying to buy another ticket, not to Seattle but Spain.

"Come on it'll be fun", he tried to convince me as I immediately shook my head.

"Raymond, I have a job that I'm waiting to hear back from, I don't know what you're escaping but I'm not going with you", I told him as I began packing my bag.

"I just don't want this time to end, please let's go to Spain", he begged me, his hands cupped my body and he kissed my side.

"Raymond I need to work, I want to tour the world but I have to get a job and you have to return back to yours, your phone rings non-stop and your emails go off every couple of minutes. I'm ready to sleep in my own bed", I said as he held my hands down.

"These beds are so comfy, come lie with me and we can do something else here", he pulled me onto the bed as I topped on top of him just as he wanted me too. He kissed my cheek as he smirked as I rolled my eyes.

"Your mom called and she wants us back, unless we're making a grand baby for her then she says stay all we want", a smile crossed his face as I could tell he wasn't as open to the idea as I was. I wanted kids, I wanted to go through the journey and I wanted to find myself and teach this kid whoever they were all my mom taught me and I would spend every moment with them, because I knew every moment was precious.

She would always say guys are scared of you because they know you don't need them.

It comforted me that I could survive without money, without someone else, but it was nice to have someone to come home too, it was nice to see someone's face as you woke up in the morning, and on those cold nights it felt so nice to have someone cuddle against you.

"All they talk about is us making a baby, do they not understand we have other things in our life, a baby would ruin everything", I nodded my head as I turned to the side as he ranted on. I understood it angered him but I couldn't help but smile at it. I wanted a baby that looked just like us, I wanted to teach them every single thing about the world. It made me smile, but him gag in disgust.

"Fine we won't go to Spain, just a couple of more days here", he swayed me along with his plan as I finally gave in. He dragged me all over Paris, all the places his mom had taken him as a boy, even the little playground that still resides next to another one of his hotels he owns.

"This is beautiful", he twirled me underneath the bright moonlight that shined above us, illuminating the water that stood next to us.

"You are beautiful", he said as he played with my hair lovingly and kissed my cheek.

"I got you something", he whispered as he pulled a box from his pocket and gave the red box to me. I opened the box as I saw the diamonds glisten from the moonlight.

"It's beautiful, thank you", I took it out of the box and I examined the necklace as I saw the butterflies twinkle in the light. Butterflies were my favorite insect you could say, my mom before she died she told me 'she would watch over me as a butterfly' and I honored those words staring at every butterfly that passed me.

He helped me put the necklace on as it matched my tight blue dress. He kissed me until the end of the night. We walked next to each other on the way home, as his bulky hand wrapped around me. We giggled as we ran to the hotel. That night ended in the most perfect way as he snuggled against me and we fell asleep later than usual.

His phone rang, over and over again. I was about to smash it to smithereens, but Raymond's arm blocked me from getting up. I kissed his lips as he kissed back, and he slowly woke up.

"Raymond, your hand", he listened and removed his bulky hand and as I tiptoed to his phone he watched the view from the bed.

"It's a scam likely call", I told him as I shut it off yet again. Raymond was smiling until he heard what I said and dug himself back into the pillow.

"Just call back and tell them don't call again", he mumbled into the pillow as I clicked on the same number that had called him 27 times, every minute for the last hour. It would've been 3 in the morning in Seattle, this must be a very devoted caller.

"Boss, Boss, Melody is with Vincent, we can't locate him she hasn't returned to her foster home and he has her, he's asking for a higher amount this time", he spoke hurriedly as I felt my face slip under me as I looked at Raymond who went back to sleep in seconds.

"He had a car chase with the police in New York and I'm currently tracking the car, the police want him back in jail just as much as we want him", he spoke so excited as the tears slipped from my cheek.

"Boss?, you're awfully quiet is the Mrs. around?", he asked as I shut the phone off realizing what I needed. I needed to be there. I took his phone in my pocket, my ID card, and the keys, I left through front door, he should've told me, he was being selfish and ignorant and I couldn't do with me.
