Chapter 5 Episode 5

SARAH

The bar closed late in the night. We got in the car and Pedro drove us home. We arrived at the house, i got down from the car and headed inside.

I was tired and exhausted, i needed to sleep, it's been a rough and busy day for me.

I got to my room door. My stomach grumbled then i realized i hadn't eaten dinner, I turned to my back and made my way to the kitchen.

I met Alba and two other maids at the kitchen, it seems they were already preparing dinner for the house.

"Hey" I stepped into the kitchen.

"Miss Sarah" Alba called with a smile. "How was your day?" She asked.

I sighed and sat on a stool "It was pretty rough."

[Chuckles lowly] "Well dinner is almost ready" she said but i was really hungry, I couldn't wait till when dinner was set.

"I don't know if I can wait Alba, i'm so hungry right now" I said and looked at my rumbling stomach.

"So what can I get you?" She asked.

"Maybe some sandwiches" I said and immediately she turned and whipped up some sandwiches for me in under ten minutes.

"Thank you Alba" i said as I was done eating my sandwiches.

"You're welcome Miss"

I left the kitchen and headed straight to my room, I closed the door and laid on the bed as I got ready to go bed.

Then Kayla opened the door and walked in.

"You know Kayla, you could have knocked" I said with a glare.

"Yeah, but I didn't want to" she said in a sassy tone "anyways, dad gave me some money to get you some clothes" she said and I looked at the bags in her hands, "Here" she said and dropped the bags on my bed. She turned her back to leave. "Kayla" I called.

"What?"

"Tell him I said thanks" I said in a low tone.

"Tell him your self, and uh, Sarah dinner is ready"

"Already had dinner" I replied

" Well goodnight" she said and exit the room.

I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling, then I thought about the bar, I just could not believe that my uncle is a human trafficker.

Who knows how long he had been into this business, how many girls he had sold, I was pretty sure he made good money from selling those girls, I remembered my mom had once told me that Delvin was ready to sell his soul to the devil just to get money, and now I would have to get used to what was going on, I snarled in disgust as I thought of his inhumanity.

I inhaled a deep breath and closed my eyes, then I slowly got to Dreamland.

"Miss"

I opened my eyes slowly as i heard a deep voice call. I looked up and saw Pedro standing in front of me, how did he get in?

"Miss" he called again.

"What is it?" I asked in a low tone as I sat up straight.

"Lady Maria, asked I tell you, we leave for the casino in an hour.

[Sigh] "okay" I said and he leaves the room.

"Urghh!" I blurted and rested my head back on my pillow. I stood up from the bed sluggishly. I entered the bathroom and had my bath, after which I picked up the shopping bags which Kayla had brought in last night and selected through, then I made do with a pink fluffy, short hand turtle neck gown that reached to my knee, though it was a bit tight but it wasn't short, I loosened the braids on my hair and combed it letting it pour through then I wore my wrist watch.

"Miss, your breakfast is ready" Alba entered the room she looked at me and smiled.

"You look good Miss" she complemented with a smile.

" Thank you Alba" I said and followed her to the dinning room, then she served me breakfast; it was pancakes.

" What about the others, have they had breakfast" I asked as I pilled a pancake in my mouth.

"Yes, but you were asleep when they did" she replied.

After having breakfast, I went to the sitting room to wait for Pedro, then Maria walked in with Pedro following her from behind.

"Aunt Maria, good morning" I greeted.

"Let's go, we don't have time" she said ignoring my greeting.

I followed them outside the house and got in the car as Pedro drove us to the casino. We arrived at the casino,I looked at my wrist it was just 10:30am and the casino was already filled with people, I walked to the bar stand to start my work.

"Hey sweet cheeks" Steve called.

"Hi"

"Okay baby niece get to work" he said in an authorative tone.

At the bar

"Hello sir, what can I get you" I asked a man.

"I'll take two bottles of beer please"

"Okay sir" I said and returned to the bar stand to get his order.

Then Delvin and Pedro came out of Delvin's office with some girls and this time they were ten in number. ohmygod!

They took them to that same corner, I guess it was bidding time, then ten men stood from their seats and walked to that corner, they started their selection, they began bargaining price with Delvin for their pick, I looked at the men bidding the girls then my eyes met with a man, he was the tallest among the others, he had dark hair, his jaw, was pointed and clenched, he gazed at me ferociously, making me shiver, I turned my gaze immediately.

I took two bottles of beer. I placed them on a serving and went to drop the order I could still feel those blue eyes of his staring at me, I reached the customer's table " Here's your order Sir" I said and placed them on hissl table

"Oh thanks" he said

" Your welcome sir" I said

I looked at the corner again and surprisingly nine girls had been sold and it was just a girl remaining, Delvin looked at the take the last girl but it seems she wasn't in his interest, I watched as Delvin tried convincing the man to take the girl

I turned my back to leave when a lady called me, I walked up to her table. "How can I help you ma'am" I asked.

"Can I get a glass of tequila" she asked.

"Yeah, sure i'll be right back" I said and turned to leave when a big hand grabbed my wrist firmly, it's grip were firm on my wrist. I winced and looked up, my eyes widened in fear as my gaze met with the same stranger.

His eyes traveled down my body while my mine stayed on his face. His jet black hair mopped over his forehead contrasting beautifully, his lips lifted from one side into a smirk.

"I want her" he said with a low husky voice his dark gaze looking deeply at me.

Dropping a bomb shell.

Delvin looked at him sharply as the man's words struck him.

WHAT!
