Chapter 3 Episode 3

SARAH

I wasn't done with my food, when Pedro walked into the dinning, he stood in front of me with his hands tucked in his pockets, he gazed at me with a grin on his face and he cleared his throat.

"The boss asked that you come with me" he said with a stern voice as his dark gaze settled on me.

My lower lip quivered and my voice broke "Why?"

"Stop asking questions and come with me" he said in an authorative tone and turned his back to me. I reluctantly stood up from my seat, I didn't want to argue as i remembered last time. I followed him as he made his way out of the house, A man was standing by the car with a lit cigarette in his hands

"Nico" Pedro called,

he flicked his cigarette on the ground as he saw Pedro and opened the car door. I settled at the back while Pedro sat in front, in the passenger seat and the man got into the driver's seat and drove off.

After a along ride, we got to a large building, it had a big sign post designed with neon lights," Viva Vegas" I said reading it, the driver parked the car at the parking lot. I stepped out of the car and followed Pedro to the entrance door. There was a man standing at the entrance he had a well built structure, he folded his arms and looked at me, his looks seemed intimidating, well maybe he's a bouncer I thought.

He smiled at Pedro and shook his hands. He opened the door for us to go in, I followed Pedro into the building, my mouth opened in suprise, I had never been to such place before, it had opened rooms filled with people and games, I turned as i heard the deep chattering sound of men playing poker and blackjack, my gaze met with a man smoking cigarette he gave creepy smile causing me to shiver within.

" Wait here" Pedro ordered and went into one of the rooms.

I stood by the bar stand and leaned on the table waiting as he ordered, my eyes strolling round in curiosity.

"Sarah!"

I jumped at the voice behind me, I turned. It was Maria she gazed at me from m a distance, her eyes fixed on me. Uneasiness seeped into me as Maria walked towards me, there was something about her that scared me to death. It had been a while since we last met. That was four years ago.

Revealing a fake smile, I blurted out " Aunt Maria" I tried to act cool and normal.

She reached to me and stopped, her eyes raked me up and down like I was some kind of small creature, I shuddered as her dark gaze fell on me, I could see the hate deep in her eyes, she noticed how tensed i was and smiled ferociously.

"I'm pretty sure you're wondering why you were brought here" she asked and turned, she walked in the bar stand where the bar attendant stood.

I nodded gently "yes"

Her lips lifted from one side into a smirk, her eyes starring at me widely " Well, first welcome to Viva Vegas, the family's very own Casino" she said and brings out a bottle of whiskey from the wine shelf,

"Now " she continued

" you weren't brought here to feast your eyes" she pulled out two glass tumbler and placed right next to the bottle of whiskey,

"you were brought here to work" she placed the whiskey and glass tumblers on a serving tray.

"Take this, to that table" she said pointing to a poker table.

I looked up at her, she was actually serious, starring at her for a few seconds I picked the tray and drifted to the table. My legs trembled and breath was shallow, I could feel my insides vibrating, clenched with fear. You can do this Sarah.

I got to the table with the order, it was surrounded by seven men with some ladies in skimpy outfit that revealed their body parts, dumbfounded and tensed, i stood in front of them and froze, what the heck was i doing?

I tried to speak but I muffled and gave out a squeak. Words had abandoned me!

They stopped and looked at me, I shivered as pairs of white stared at me, I felt my heart beat in my throat. The men appraised me up and down, then their eyes settled on my bare legs, where they lingered. Uncomfortable about the scrutiny of their gaze, I shifted a bit, I tried to tug my dress down to hide my legs, the dress was short, it ended over my mid thigh leaving most of my legs bare. It was the dress Kayla gave to me, I had no other dress to wear.

I swallowed " your order" I managed to say.

Then one of the ladies took the whiskey and glass tumblers from the tray. I heaved a sigh and turned my back to leave. Then a husky voice called " raggaza" I sighed and turned to them, one of them signaled me with his hands to come, I walked to him I noticed as they stilled and watched me with hawk eyes, their eyes strolling round my body. It was one fact, I was just nineteen and I already had an attractive body figure; slender waist, round bum and full curves. Uneasiness struck me as they settled their gaze on my bum, I had interrupted their game.

" Sir " I muttered as I reached the man, my gaze lowered to the poker table. He had a cigarette in his hand, he blew out a thick puff of smoke to my face, the choking smell stinger me and immediately I let out a loud cough, he looked at me for a few seconds, then they all laughed making me shudder more.

Blood rushed to my cheeks, nose and ears, as they turned red in embarrassment. Hang in there Sarah, you got this! I said to myself and gathered some courage, i raised my head an d looked at him like nothing happened and I wasn't scared " How can I help you Sir" I asked, my confidence wavered a bit but I stood looked at him,I wasn't a coward like they taught.

His eyes dropped to my chest and then to my bare legs and a smile graced his lips, he looked up at me and shook his head slightly " Nothing, you can leave now" he said in a teasing tone and they all bursted in laughter. I raised my brows furiously and sighed, I turned my back to him and they roared in laughter again as they watched me leave, I wondered what was funny that made them laugh. I didn't bother looking back as I walked back to the bar stand.

" Not bad for your first time" Maria said with a smile.

I bulged.

"How was it" she asked.

My brows furrowed in frustration an I blurted "Intimidating"

[Smiles]

"Well, you have to get used to it, Sarah" she replied
