Chapter 3 Who am I

"How many meetings until I can go home and take a long nap Genny?" Nathan inquired.

Checking the schedule, Genny answered, "You just have to attend one in the afternoon and that's it."

Glancing at his watch, he breathed a sigh of relief. "I have three hours in hand, that is enough to take two power naps." Placing his hand on the doorknob, he instructed, "Don't let anyone come in until someone is dying and I need to attend the funeral, okay? Especially-"

Cutting him off, she answered, "Your brother or anyone from your family." Picking up a 'DND' board from the table, she hung it on the doorknob. "I have been working here for more than three years boss, I know everything by now."

"And this is why I love you Gen, only if you weren't married." Without wasting any more time, Nathan quickly entered his office.

Taking off his blazer, he tossed it aside before cracking his knuckles. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he made his way towards his desk and grabbed a glass of water to soothe his throat.

"Are you sure water is going to help?"

Startled by the sudden appearance of someone he didn't want to see, Nathan sputtered the water all over his desk and started coughing vigorously. "Holy cow, how the fuck did you even enter my office?" Looking at the open window, he scoffed, "Nevermind."

"You won't willingly see me, I have no other choice but to force myself inside your office and in your life." Looking at his youngest brother, Darius smiled, "You don't look happy after seeing me Nathan ."

Leaning against the desk, Nathan crossed his arms in the front. "What is there to be happy about? I see you almost everyday even though I don't want to."

"No matter how much you ignore me, I will never forget my duties," Darcius answered.

"And what is that again?"

Walking towards Nathan , he stated, "To remind you who you really are and to stop you from pretending to be someone you are not."

Raising his brows, Nathan curiously inquired, "Who am I? Almost the entire Elisberg City knows who Nathan Lind is-"

"But they don't know who you really are and where you are from." When he did not say anything, Darcius added, "You are one of us brother, a cold blooded creature. You belong with us, not here amongst the humans."

Scrunching his brows, Nathan touched his forehead and frowned deeper. "What did you say again? Cold blooded? Yeah I don't think so, I am quite warm. In fact, several magazines and also women say that I am super hot."

Before Darcius could say anything, he lifted his upper lips and shoved his teeth right on his face. "Do you see anything? Like something pointed? No, right?" Pulling away, he lifted Darcius' upper lips, revealing his pointed fangs. "There they are, you have cute fangs big bro."

Twenty-eight years old Nathan Lind was the young and super gorgeous CEO of E&L Corporation which he had started from scratch eight years ago when he decided to leave his family and live with the humans because he claimed and believed that he was one of them.

After developing no vampire-like traits even after twenty years of his existence, Nathan felt very out of place in the clan. He felt and strongly believed he was different so he decided to leave everything behind and start a fresh life against his family's will.

His emerald eyes and other distinct features made Nathan stand out in the crowd. His well built body, unique and attractive aura made women and sometimes even men go crazy.
