Chapter 10 I-I see things.

"Wait a second, are you worried that I will think you are crazy?" When Layla nodded her head, Catheline sighed, "Layla , we all are crazy. In this world, no one is sane. And out of all the people, why would I think you are crazy? I don't call you crazy even when you dip fries in your ice cream or cheeto in your soft drink."

"Hey, that tastes so good," Layla retorted.

Placing her hand on hers, she added, "The point is, I will never call you crazy even if you tell me that you can hear color or see sound."

Contemplating for a while, she said in a very soft tone. "I-I see things."

"Things? What are you talking about?"

"I mean-" Expressing how she felt and the things that were happening in her life was always the hardest thing for Layla . This is also one of the reasons why she never shared it with anyone. "Things like......visions," she hesitantly stated, carefully observing Catheline's expression.

"Oh, are you talking about the nostalgic feeling we get when we see something? Like a feeling of 'I have seen this earlier' but you can't remember when?" When Layla slowly nodded her head, Catheline chuckled, "Don't worry girl, that happens to everyone. It's completely normal, just chill and stop stressing about it."

Giving her a smile, Layla nodded her head. How was she supposed to tell her friend that it wasn't a normal thing and definitely what she was thinking? So she decided to stay silent once again.

Glancing at the watch, Catheline complained, "Why is the food taking so long?"

"I'll go to the washroom." Getting up from her seat, Layla added, "I'll be right back."

"In this world, everything has an answer."

Looking at the lady who was standing right next to her, Layla frowned, "Excuse me? Did you say something?"

Smiling at her, the lady repeated herself. "In this world, everything has an answer." Pausing for a while, she further added, "But finding them is hard, very very hard."

"I am sorry, I can't really understand what you are talking about." Looking at the lady properly, Layla questioned her. "Do I happen to know you?"

"I don't think so, I just happen to overhear your conversation with your friend. Since your friend couldn't understand you, I thought you could use some advice from me," the lady answered.

"Believe in it?" Smiling at her, the lady remarked. "It's not about who believes in it or not, it doesn't matter what others think. But what matters is, how you feel about it." Without waiting for her reply, the lady walked out of the washroom leaving Layla in a daze.

"Hey-wait." Layla called her out before running after her.

By the time Layla stepped out of the washroom, the lady was nowhere to be seen. The corridor which led back to the restaurant was pretty long which would at least take a minute and a half to walk. She was quite sure that if the lady had taken the main corridor, she would have managed to at least get a glance of her.

Assuming that she might have taken the other way which was on the left hand side, Layla rushed towards the other way in a hope to find the mysterious lady and talk to her. She had a feeling that the lady knew much more than she did.

After walking into the dimly lit corridor, Layla contemplated for a while before taking a step forward. The whole corridor was empty and gave a very icky feeling which made her feel very uncomfortable.

As she was about to step back, she saw a black shadow behind a pillar.
