Chapter 2

Louis Hermosa's POV

"Are you alright? Louis why did you do that? Maybe someone saw you" My chest pounded so hard and my breathing suddenly deepened.

"You're so stubborn, you're going to be destroyed because of what you're doing" He scolded me but that didn't enter my mind because I had too many questions.

Question that needs an answer.

I turned to look at him and swallowed. "W-what kind of house is this?" The word came out of my mouth but he just stared straight and serious at me and suddenly sighed. I don't understand his emotions but I'm sure he wants to say a lot but he can't.

"You didn't see anything bright?" I swallowed because of what he said, it's always like that every time I discover something. "Why can't you say?" I asked back and wiped my soiled clothes.

"Since it's not possible, let's finish this and we might need to go inside" He said and cleaned again, even though there were so many questions in my mind, I insisted on cleaning.

Huge mazes, mysterious gates, forbidden doors, disturbing warnings and most of all.. weird people who are almost missing a part of their body.

Is the owner of this house a ghost?

"Louis it's over, what else are you building there? Come on" Riana suddenly said. "Ah, yes, I'm sorry." I answered and followed him, but before we could completely leave there, I turned once at the top of the fence before walking away from there.

"Louis, Riana.. I've been waiting for you. Riana needs you in the kitchen and you, Louis, clean the second floor" I almost jumped in shock because Sonya suddenly appeared in front of us, I guess I was too distracted that I didn't notice her approaching me.

The nervousness in my chest returned again for some unknown reason, Riana left to go to the kitchen and Sonya and I were left behind. I wonder why he is staring at me.

"Your chest is pounding very hard, is something wrong?" Manang's question was serious, which made me even more nervous because I might get sick.

"nothing" When I lied, I knew it was obvious to him but he just nodded at me so I went up to the 2nd floor of the house, when I went up it was this very heavy feeling again.

It feels like someone is running all over your body, I also feel like my head is bulging and my hairs are rising on my skin. And the eerie silence makes it even more scary.

I started sweeping and tidying up the room, it didn't take me long because I just had to remove the dust. Not all the rooms here are used so it's not too dirty.

While sweeping the hallway, I passed the said room, it was simple to look at, but as I stared at it, I felt that there was something inside.

A feeling that when I opened the door there was someone standing in front of me, I wasn't powerful but I could feel the presence.

I feel a negative energy coming from this room, when manang took me around here on the 2nd floor, he told me not to stand for a long time in front of that door.

Even if I don't want to obey, I also don't want to reprimand because I might get sick, I still need a job and money.

I turned around and started to walk away but before I had taken two steps I was stoned from where I was standing.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK

BOGSH, BOGSH, BOGSH

First it was a slow and modest knock until it became aggressive and I pulled back and tightly held on to the broom.

I swallowed because the knocking continued but became more aggressive as if it wanted to break the door. My chest heaved loudly as I backed away, until the knocking stopped, which also stopped me from backing away.

I slowly walked back to the door while feeling the inside when someone suddenly grabbed my shoulder. "Louis? What are you doing?" I looked at Riana and looked back at the door.

"I know, that's really scary" He said and picked up the broom that I dropped. "There's a devil" He added that I was very scared but he just walked away so I followed while looking around the room.

I forgot to mention that there is a letter L posted on the door, it's probably the owner's initial.

But.. what was that knocked? Someone's in there, that's for sure.

We are cleaning the basement today, there are a lot of us here because it is very spacious and there are various things made of wood.

We cleaned everything while I was removing the dust, it was so dusty that we had to wear masks, gloves and so on.

"I'm over there Louis, just move to the other side" Riana said to which I nodded and went to the other side of the basement that was a little far from them.

I'm the only one here in this part but it's okay to have people with me, it's scarier to be alone.

While cleaning I didn't even notice that I go even further so I can't see them but I can still hear their movements.

While cleaning, I noticed a curtain with a blood stain that I pulled, I didn't think anything of it but when I got closer, it was a mark of a hand as if someone had held the curtain.

I poked at it to find out if it was paint but it wasn't rough, it was impossible to paint it.. I looked at the wall and I also saw that there was blood smeared there towards the.. door.

There's a door at the very end that I didn't even notice before, it's a strange door because it's steel and has a logo in the middle that's a skull and there's 'Mors' written on the top which I think is Latin and in English it's 'Death', the skull logo is not just a logo because I think I've seen it somewhere.

Suddenly there was a strong wind and the curtain was blown but I noticed something engraved on the back of it so I slightly opened it, I was surprised because there was an unfamiliar symbol, I have seen demonic symbols but this one is unfamiliar.

I haven't seen this type of démonic symbol before but I'm sure this is démonic because there's one eye on the middle like the illuminati.

It's made of blood too I think, my hair is rising again and my chest started pounding hard again, I closed the window and held my chest because of the nervousness.

Jusko what kind of demon is in this house.

"Psst" I stopped and slowly turned to the door when suddenly someone whistled, the door is too sacred so you can't see what's inside but I could hear the soft whistle.

"Shh!" I swallowed and my chest heaved again, I slowly walked closer to it while feeling around, I didn't hear any more hissing so when I got to the door I checked the sacred door and saw that there was a key that was also a skull logo same as front.

"Help.." I froze when I heard a whisper, it's coming behind this door so I put my ear to the door and stuck it there so I could hear properly but there's nothing I could hear anymore.

I straightened up and took a deep breath before turning my back to the door and walking away to go back to cleaning, but I hadn't even taken a few steps when I suddenly felt something push me with such force that I fell and hit my head on center of the table.

It hurt so much, I felt very dizzy but I heard someone giggle as if pissed off but I couldn't turn around. "Louis!! Jusko, Louis is Sonya.. Louis what happened? Your head is bleeding" Riana quickly came to me but I couldn't take it.

"Let's get him out of here" An assistant said and they helped me stand up but my head couldn't take it anymore so I lost consciousness.

I slowly opened my eyes when I felt something cold touch my neck and I saw Riana wiping my neck and Sonya was right next to her, I couldn't have felt better.

"Louis, it's good, you're awake, you had a very high fever and you were shivering a while ago, what's wrong?" Riana asked worriedly, I turned my gaze to manang Sonya who was staring at me seriously, as if she knew something about what was going on.

"M-may.. push me, but maybe it's just my imagination" I answered and smiled slightly so he wouldn't worry.

"You know it's not an imagination, get well soon because you're needed at home, Riana can't watch over you so take care of yourself" Manang Sonya said seriously and left. "That's the way it is, just let it go" Riana said next to me and I just nodded and looked at the ceiling.

"Riana.." I called her and she looked at me while wringing out a wet towel. "Ah nothing." I added and smiled a little, I didn't try to ask any more questions because I knew I wouldn't get an answer.

I just want to go back home and leave this place, because the more my curiosity deepens, the more I am doomed like what happened now.

Maybe next time I will be picked somewhere.

It's been 4 days but I still have a fever and it gets higher every night for some unknown reason, even Riana is surprised but I don't know why either.

"I think you should take a leave first, go home first and rest" said Manang Sonya whom I was talking to.

Maybe it's also because of the house why I'm like this, because I also feel heavy here at home as if something is bothering me.

After a while, Riana got my other things ready, not all of them because I will also be back. He handed me my things and we left the house together.

When we went out, I saw the guard again and he was always holding the book he was reading, he closed it and opened the gate but I was surprised because the logo of the book was the same as the symbol on the wall I saw in the basement.

"Riana-" My eyes widened when I saw Riana's neck with the same symbol but hers was a tattoo, I swallowed when Riana looked at me in surprise but I tried to smile at her.

I want to ask a question but no voice comes out of my mouth and I just want to get out of this place and I hope when I come back it will be different, I hope no more creepy things happen.

I wonder if all of them had a tattoo symbol like this.

We walked out of the gate and stood in front of where I got off when I first entered here but there was no car passing by, I remembered what the driver of the tricycle I rode said.

I feel dizzy again and my back and head are aching, it looks like I really need to take care of it.

"There are no cars passing here Louis, come I'll take you to the corner" Riana suddenly said that I just nodded because it looked like no one was really planning to pass by.

When we were leaving, we suddenly heard the sound of the engine signaling that a car was coming so we stopped, my eyes lit up when I saw a tricycle so I stopped.

"You're very lucky, Louis" I was surprised at what Riana said next to me but I didn't answer because the tricycle stopped in front of me.

He stopped in front of me and looked fearfully at the house, "Are you alone?" He asked as I frowned but immediately nodded. "Alright ride, hurry up, I won't last long in this place" He said and hurriedly turned on the engine.

I immediately put my stuff in and went inside and waved to Riana who also waved to me back before the tricycle sped away.

"Do you live there?" The man asked, "Ah, no. I'm working there" I answered.

"Working?" There was a trace of surprise in his voice that I also wondered, "Is there anyone else in that house, no one tries to pass that road because it is said that there is a curse because whoever passes there and something bad will definitely happen" said the man who was being beaten of my chest for some unknown reason.

It didn't take long before he dropped me off in town so I paid and walked away but I looked at the man again because I was still surprised by what he said.

But my eyes widened when I saw him without a head moving away, my whole body trembled and I seemed to be stoned from where I was standing.

I couldn't move and my whole body was filled with fear, I felt like all my blood was rushing to my head, and all the hairs on my body were also raised.

I thought those things were not true, but now that I have seen them myself, I feel like I want to think again that they are not true.
