Chapter 8 Gwen city

Next day**

Adrianna arranged her kids clothe into the suitcase neatly, she was looking pale and her face swollen, She had cried herself to sleep after the scene yesterday.

She couldn't place a finger on it, where it all started. Where did she started getting this bad luck, was it when her wedding got called off after she caught her Fiancé with her best friend? Or when she fell pregnant for a 'one night stand man?'

"Mommy?" Her little girl called softly jerking Adriana back to reality٫ then the young girl stare at the big suitcase. "Are we going somewhere?" Scarlett asked then looking into her mother's eyes.

Adriana simply smile and replied with a nod, "Yes."

"Does that mean we'd be leaving this town? Mummy? Where are we going? Is it far? Are we going to be resuming school there? Mummy-"

"One at time, sweetie. Mummy is not a computer, speak one after the other so mummy will explain well," Adrianna told her as she stroke a strand of Scarlett hair to the back of her ear.

"Sorry mummy," She apologized with a pout, Adrianna nod slowly and the little girl continued, "Is it Far?"She asked

Adrianna shook her head, "No, Sweetie."

"Then, are we staying there for long?" Adrianna nod to that answer. "Why?" Scarlett almost cry.

"Because mummy has to work hard for you to go back to school," Adrianna replied touching the little girl's cheek tenderly.

Scarlett beamed, "We will resume school?" She muttered.

"Yes," She replied "So, wait for mummy okay?"

"Okay!"

They both smiled, Adrianna glanced at her boys still sleeping then glanced at Scarlett who was already playing with toys, she breathed in deeply.

She closed the suitcase as she went to her phone, She picked it up and click on the contact, scrolling through the list, "Do I still have her number?" She muttered but didn't stop her from scrolling.

"Found it!" She exclaimed as she came across a name. "I found you Dora!" She shouted happily then wasted no time in dialing the number.

The line rang twice before it was picked, "Hello?"

"Hello, please I'm I speaking with Dora? Dora Lawson?" Adriana asked politely.

"Yes. Who is this if I may ask?"

"This Adrianna, Adrianna Georgia. We attended the same school back then in Gwen city,

"This Adrianna, Adrianna Georgia. We attended the same school back then in Gwen city,"

"Dear passengers, please fasten your seatbelt for the plane will be landing soon, Thank you." The hostess announced to the passengers on plane.

"Kids?" Adrianna called as she fastened their belts. She tap them gently, they fell asleep when the plane took off. "We are about to get off, sit up she told them and they all opened up their eyes immediately.

"We are at Gwen city already?Scarlett was quick to ask with a smile on her lips.

Adrianna nod, "Yes we are."

Few minutes later, the plane landed at the Gwen Airport. "And here we are," Adrianna chip in as her kids look out through the window. She pulled out their luggages as they all get off the plane.

To Adrianna, it feels like yesterday when she left, she's back to her past, to Gwen city. "I will get through this," She mumbled under her breathe as she tightened her grip on the luggage handle.

Then they started walking out of the airport when Adrianna's phone blare on, "Oh, Dora!" She exclaimed after checking the caller's ID.

She picked up "Yes, we have just arrived," Adrianna said over the phone to Dora. "Oh, The parking lot? We will be right there," She replied and with that she hang up the call.

"This way kids," she instructed but Scott got lost staring at the ice cream vendor. "What are you still doing there Scott? Let's-" she got cut off when she couldn't find Scott behind her.

"Where's your brother?" She asked Skyler and Scarlett while the two shook their head.

"We don't know, he must have left for the ice cream vendor over there," Scarlett said and Adriana furrowed her eyebrows.

"Ice-cream?"

"Yes, he's been staring ever since we got here," Skyler replied and Adrianna bit her lower lips in confusion.

"Let's go and find him," She muttered and went back with her remaining kids to the ice cream vendor and there she found Scott still staring at the strawberry ice-cream, licking his lips.

"Scott, darling?" Adrianna called going close to him, "What are you doing here? You didn't follow, why?"

The little boy's face fell once again to the ice cream then back to Adrianna with a pout, "Mummy?" He called.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Can we get some ice cream? Please," He whined and Skyler joined him. Scarlett followed as well.

"Please mummy," They all chorused with a pout. That's their charm on Adrianna, their cute pout makes her smile and happy.

She smiled, "Okay, let's go get you guys ice cream," She told them and they all jumped on her happily.

She moved to the vendor, "Three cups of strawberry ice cream, please," She requested and the vendor did as told, giving her the order.

She went back to her kids who were on their toes, anticipating for the devouring ice cream. "Here, darlings" She distributed it.

"Thank you mummy!" They wasted no time in licking their ice cream.

"Happy now?" The kids nod at her question. "We can go right?" She asked and her kids took the lead.

"Careful-" before she could tell Scarlett to watch her step, Scarlett already spilled her ice cream on a young lady's white dress.

"What the hell! You little devil!" The lady yelled at the little kid, Scarlett ran back to her mom crying.

"Oh, what do I do? I'm so sorry for my daughter's mistake, ma'am," Adrianna quickly apologized to the young lady.

The lady scoffed, "Sorry? Does your lame sorry bring back my white dress?!" She yelled and Adrianna bring forth an handkerchief.

"Let me wipe off the stain, I will get you another clothe," Adrianna offered but the lady shift back with an eye roll.

"Don't you dare touch me with that cheap handkerchief, I don't need any clothe from people like you," She blurted out then flung her handbag at her. "I'm not in your class." She muttered and that was then Adriana took a proper look at her.

She's truly not her class, starting from her black straight hair down to her glittering shoes and of course, her designer bag written 'Alberto' on it.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Adrianna apologized once again.

"Stop saying sorry! Your sorry won't do anything! Don't waste your sorry and learn to take care of your kids!" She snapped then tilted her head up, the look on her face changed from angry to a smile one. "Miguel, here!" She waved leaving Adrianna's side.

Adrianna didn't bother to look at who she left to meet, she simply walked away with her kids, "rude punk!" She muttered walking away.

"Who was that?" Miguel asked looking at the woman leaving the airport with her kids. "Is it someone you know?"

"No, she can never be someone I know, She's a low class with kids, what the heck!"

"Hmm," Miguel hummed then finally look at her white dress. "What happened to your dress, Jessica?" He asked.

Jessica pouted "One stupid girl spilled ice cream on my dress, I wanted to look good for you and they ruined it," She snapped while Miguel scoffed.

"I'm sure the kid didn't do it intentionally, don't call them stupid, you were once one," He corrected while Jessica rolled her eyes

" -and you were looking good for me? Why? You didn't like me from the day both parent planned our engagement, why the sudden change? Did you perhaps hit your head with something in US?" Miguel asked sarcastically and Jessica glare at him.

"That's too harsh," She muttered "Yes, I don't like you back then because you're just following your parent lead, I like you now, happy?"

"No, I'm very sad, I can't imagine the both of us together. I hope this engagement collapse for I don't like you," Miguel snapped and Jessica ears turned red.

Jessica balled her fist, "There's nothing you can do about it, we are meant to be!" She yelped while Miguel nod with a chuckle.

"We will see to that," He muttered taking the traveling bag with her, he took the lead and Jessica followed.

"We should branch at a boutique, I can't let you go home in that dress, I should be responsible till the end, I wouldn't want Dad to bite me," He added and Jessica smiled.

"Awww, So sweet of you, Miguel!" She giggle wrapping her hand around him.

"Take those hand off, don't make me change my mind," He scowl through gritted teeth and Jessica did as told.

'You're mine anyways.' She whispered under breathe.
