Chapter 4 I AM AN ALPHA

Selena! Wake up

Selena woke up. It's just a nightmare!

I heard someone shaking me trying to bring me back to reality, I opened my eyes and noticed I wasn't in my room and I began to panic, what is going on? Where am I? I asked and was crying now.

"Selena, be calm no one is going to hurt you I am here." I heard someone say. That was when I recalled the previous event, how he kidnapped me, how Sophia treated me with dinner.

"I am sorry I disturbed you," I muttered.

"What is wrong? Why were you having a nightmare? She asked.

"It's nothing Sophie, it's just a nightmare," I said. She stared at me for a while, not believing what I said.

"Fine if you say so, I should go to sleep now," she says standing from the bed. I checked the clock on the nightstand and saw it was three in the morning. Oh my God, I must have woken her up, but wait how did she know I was having a nightmare.

"The guards outside your room heard you crying, so they reached out for me," She said. "Since you are fine now do you want me to leave?" She asks, making sure I want her to. "Yes, I am fine."

"Rise and shine sleepyhead," I heard someone saying," I opened my eyes and was met with blue eyes staring at me.

Recollecting what happened the previous day and also with Sophie coming to my aid when having a nightmare.

"Finally, she is up," She said sarcastically.

"Good morning, Sophie."

"The fuck, it's noon now. Damien is not going to like it if you haven't taken breakfast, and again he wants you to meet him immediately you are done with breakfast." She said in a breath.

I quickly stood up to go have my bath, I went to open my bag to take the clothes I was going to wear today then it dawned on me that I didn't pack much, because of my brother. I just put it in the box given to me by my grandmother along with my document and also my favorite PJ. Apart from the clothes.

I wore yesterday and the PJ I was putting on right now. I took the dress I wore yesterday and went inside the bathroom to do my business. Thank Goodness there was a new toothbrush.

Done with my bath, coming out of the bathroom I was met with Sophie spreading a beautiful gown on the bed.

"Looks like my brother didn't allow you to pack much, so I would lend you my favorite gown, I am taking it back though," She said finally looking at me.

"It's alright Sophie, I am fine wearing this," I tried to convince her.

"If I were you I would put this on, you are gonna meet with a lot of people downstairs and be asked a bunch of questions. So it will be better to put on a good dress and you know it won't be okay to repeat the clothes you wore yesterday...." She kept talking.

"Fine I will put it on," I told her, picking up the dress and turning to the bathroom so I can change."

I am on my way to Damien's office along with Sophie, I am so nervous right now I wonder what we are gonna talk about.

About my dress, I changed to the one Sophie gave to me still with my pop-socks on and also with my scarf.

I was thankful she didn't ask anything concerning the way I dressed, which I am beginning to like about her.

She just told me that after the meeting with her brother we should go shopping, which I agreed to immediately.

Not long after we got to his office which made me so nervous, we went in and we met him on his phone as he wasn't in a good mood. I suddenly pity the person on the other line.

He dropped his phone and told Sophie to excuse us, I looked at her pleadingly not to leave me with him she gave me an apologetic eye leaving.

I was still staring at where Sophie was standing a few minutes ago till Damien clears his throat signifying he needs my attention.

"So Miss Selena What is your full name and where are you from?" He glaring at me. "My name is Selena Daniels and I am from Nebrow," I replied without looking up.

"Your parent's name?" he asked

"William and Jessica Daniels," I said with an irritated voice. "You don't use that kind of tone for me, I demand respect from you." He snarled.

"Since you are from Nebrow, what were you doing in City Y?" He asked again. "I came to visit someone there." I lied, I can't tell him I ran away from home he might get connected with my parents and tell them I am here. I am never going back to them.

"Hmmm I see you are just a naive human who knows nothing about my world and is now my mate, the moon goddess must be joking,"

He said going to his seat, "Wait mate, human, his world, my world. What did he mean by what he just said?

"I don't understand anything about what you just said," I mumbled.

"Maybe I should say it this way, I am an Alpha who is the King of all wolves and you, who the moon goddess must have chosen as my mate. My mate is just a mere weak little human," I couldn't wrap my head around all he was saying but could stare at him.

"You are about to be the Luna Queen but know nothing about my world, and also your kids were the reasons why my real mate died, so explain to me why I should accept you," He growled, which made me shift back, getting scared. I couldn't even respond.

"You know, my real mate is dead and that is how it's going to be. You can never be her so it will be better if you don't cross your limit with me, and again don't you ever and ever tell anyone about me being your mate."

He growls again. What is with him and growling for God's sake I never came to him, he was the one who brought me forcefully.

Again did he just say he is a wolf and not a human? Like the one I always hear about in school when the teacher takes us.

I thought they said it wasn't real so how come a human is telling me he is a wolf oh scratch that he is not a human, he can kill me anytime he wants.

I moved closer to the door, so I could escape from here. I can't live here anymore Sophie is also a wolf no one around here is a human. I was about to open the door when he stopped me again with a growl. Don't you dare take a single step from that place?

"I am sorry, I can't live here anymore. I will pay for the shirt I stained just please let me go," I begged for my life.

I saw his eyeball change to deep blue and it shone brightly. Which kind of made me start crying and also begging him not to kill me.

But, he didn't listen. He kept coming closer and closer till he got to where I stood, damn I nearly peed on my pants.

He brought his hands closer, attempting to touch my face, I screamed for help but no one came to my rescue.

This time I was already crying badly, I waited a few minutes for him to hit me but I didn't feel any. I opened my eyes to look up at him. I saw he already moved back a bit with hurt in his eyes, why does he look hurt?

"I won't hurt your flower, I was trying to calm you I saw how scared you were" I heard him say, did he just call me flower? And again his voice is different. This voice is kind of cool and soft. What is going on?

"I am Drake, Damien wolf," he said which made me tense. How come a wolf can talk?

How come a person can be of two different people and name, scratch that they are not human, they are wolves.

I kept repeating in my head. It was a lot of new information that I couldn't handle, you can't criticize me, it was my first time knowing about this.

I have lived with humans all my life even though they abused me I still know that we are all human.

"Seem Damien made you kind of scared, he can be that stupid and cold sometimes." He said trying to move closer to me again but I wasn't giving in at any time, I still don't trust him.

Wait, did he just say kind of scared what the heck I was terrified of. When he noticed I didn't say anything he talked again.

" How about I make you a coffee to make you calm cause your face looks pale right now," He asked. But I declined immediately. I can't stay here with him any longer.

"Please allow me to go to my room." I pleaded he wasn't happy with what I just said but he couldn't stop me.

He nods his head signaling I could leave. I didn't waste any more time before I dashed out of his office.
