Chapter 5 Bump Into Her First Love

"Hannah."

They bought a lot of things, which filled up four big bags. When they were about to leave the mall, they passed by a world-famous jewelry shop, where they were suddenly called by a familiar yet strange female voice.

Surprised, Hannah turned around and looked in the direction of the voice.

"It's really you. I thought I mistook someone for you!" seeing Hannah, who was wearing a pair of big black-framed glasses and an old-fashioned black suit with two large plastic bags in her hand, Melissa, pretending to be inadvertent, held Kevin's arm and said with a charming smile.

When Kevin saw Hannah, who was only four or five meters away, he was stunned for a moment and could not come back to his senses. He had not seen her for almost six years!

After glancing at Melissa, Hannah indifferently averted her gaze to Kevin.

It had been almost six years, but he still looked as handsome as always. Yet, his temperament changed, and he had grown into a mature and composed man, who had lived up to the name of Canics Group's leader.

Judging from Melissa's intimate gesture with Kevin, even a fool could guess the relationship between them.

For some reason, tears welled up in Hannah's eyes, so she immediately looked away from Kevin and lowered her head.

"Hannah, when did you come back? Why didn't you inform us about your return? Mom and Dad miss you very much!" While looking at Hannah, Melissa almost glued her whole body onto Kevin, and her voice became even sweeter.

Miss her very much?

Listening to Melissa's words, Hannah couldn't help but sneer.

In the past five years, no one in the Porter family had taken the initiative to contact her, and no one had ever cared about her well-being when she lived alone overseas.

"I'm fine. I don't need your concern." After Hannah finished her words, she looked at Tiana next to her and said with a faint smile, "Tiana, let's go!"

Contemptuously, Tiana rolled her eyes at the shameless couple, Kevin and Melissa, before she nodded and left with Hannah.

"Wait!"

Just as Hannah and Tiana turned to leave, Kevin finally came back to his senses, and he pulled out his arm from Melissa's hands. Then, he rushed over and grabbed Hannah's wrist.

The moment she was held by Kevin, her whole body trembled, and she almost dropped the bag in her hand.

"What is it, Mr. Byrne?" Suppressing the surging emotions in her heart, Hannah turned her head and looked at Kevin, who was right in front of her, with her lips slightly curved into a smile.

"A-Ana, h-how have you been these years?" Looking at Hannah, who didn't seem to change at all except for her unfathomable eyes, Kevin was so overwhelmed with emotions that he stuttered.

With a slight smile, Hannah replied, "As you see, I'm doing great. Thanks for asking!"

"Kevin." When Melissa saw the brimming joy and excitement in Kevin's eyes while he looked at Hannah, she almost blew her top, but she did not show it on her face. Instead, she walked over and reached out her hands to hold Kevin's arm while saying to Hannah with a grin, "Hannah, you came back just in time because next Saturday will be our engagement ceremony. You'll be there, right? By the way, Kevin is here today with me to-" buy our engagement ring.

"Melissa, why are you bringing this up?" Looking at Melissa, Kevin immediately pulled a long face and cut her short before she finished speaking.

"I-"

"Congratulations! Since I came back at the right time, I will definitely attend it. Don't worry!" Without giving Melissa any chance to disgust her again, Hannah interrupted her. After that, she carried her things and strode away with Tiana.

"It seems that Kevin is still thinking about you. Even when you dressed so tastelessly, he still holds your hand so tight." On the way back, Tiana joked with Hannah, who was sitting in the passenger seat, while driving carefully.

As Hannah stared blankly at the neon lights outside the window, she was lost in her thoughts, but when she heard Tiana's words, she could not help but smile bitterly. "So what?"

"So what?!" Tiana's voice was instantly raised by several octaves as she quickly glanced at Hannah and continued, "As long as you're willing to, you can snatch him back in a second. Your b*tchy half-sister won't stand a chance!"

Smiling, Hannah looked down with her dim eyes. "The fact that I gave birth to someone's child is a huge stain in both his and my heart. Even if he can accept me, we can never go back to the past and be together without any grudges."

Since Tiana knew everything about her, she didn't need to hide anything from her.

"But you only did it because you had no choice!"

"Regardlessly, it's a fact that I gave birth to someone's child."

With a snort, Tiana scolded, "The people in your family are jerks!"

Leaning against the back of the chair, Hannah smiled without saying anything.

"It's obvious that you and Kevin still have feelings for each other. Why should you give him up to your sister, that b*tch?" After a moment of silence, Tiana asked unhappily.

Smiling, Hannah replied with a sigh, "Perhaps we're each other's first love, so we are reluctant to sever ties. But, we don't love each other anymore."

At least, her love for him had faded.

Tiana pouted her lips. "You're right. You shouldn't settle for someone like him! With your beauty and talents, you will surely find someone who is a hundred or even a thousand times better than that son of a b*tch."

Looking at Tiana, Hannah raised her eyebrows. "What if I can't find that person?"

"It's okay. If you can't find him, we can spend the rest of our lives together. I'll be the man, and you'll be the woman. What do you think?"

Feeling helpless, Hannah asked, "Can't I be the man?"

Tiana quickly glanced at her again. "You don't even have that thing on you."

"You don't have it either!"

"I can undergo a sex reassignment surgery."

Hearing that, Hannah was lost for words.

That made Tiana burst out laughing.

"Kevin, what's wrong? Aren't you taking me home?"

In the underground car park of the shopping mall, Kevin was walking forward with big strides, while Melissa trotted behind to catch up as she discreetly threw him questions.

Without even looking back, Kevin replied coldly, "I have something to do. Go back by yourself!"

Grabbing his wrist, Melissa said coquettishly, "But I don't have a car."

"Take a taxi, then." While giving her an annoyed glance, he indifferently replied, his voice obviously filled with anger.

Shuddering in fear, Mellisa looked at him and asked uneasily in a soft voice, "Kevin, are you angry? Is it because of my sister?"

For some reason, Kevin grew annoyed all of a sudden, and it almost drove him crazy.

After giving Melissa another glance, he got into the car in silence. Then, he slammed the door and started the engine. Without giving a chance for Melissa to hop on, he stepped on the accelerator and shot off.

"Vroom..."

Watching the racecar speed off from her sight, Melissa was so chafed that she kept stamping her feet.

"Hannah, you b*tch, why did you come back at this time?"
