The morning sun cast its warm glow as Luke and Sandra got ready for school, grabbing their lunch bags before bidding farewell to their mother, Jessica. With a quick exchange of goodbyes, the siblings set off on their way. Meanwhile, Jessica settled onto the couch, switching on the television. Her husband, Kelvin, joined her, asking if she had any plans for the day.
"No, dear," Jessica replied, sinking into the cushions. "With the kids at school and my chores done, today is all about indulging in a TV marathon."
Kelvin chuckled, amused by the prospect. "Well, can I join in on the TV day?"
Surprised, Jessica asked, "Don't you have work?"
"No, I've been granted a two-day leave to relax at home," Kelvin explained.
"Perfect," Jessica responded. "Should I get the popcorn?"
Kelvin eagerly agreed, and soon enough, he returned with a bag of popcorn. The couple settled in, completely at ease, as they enjoyed their snacks and shared laughter throughout the day.
As the school day commenced, Sandra and Luke made their way to their respective classes. Along Luke's path, Anthony approached him with a casual greeting, "Sup bro." Luke responded in kind, "Cool bro." Just then, Jasmine interjected, "Hey guys." Luke warmly inquired, "Oh, how are you, Jasmine?" She replied with a smile, "I am good."
Engaging in lively conversation, the trio eventually made their way to the cafeteria for lunch. Jasmine asked, "Can I sit beside you guys?" Luke gladly replied, "Yeah, sure." As they settled down, Anthony raised the topic of Ethan's party that night. "Are you coming, Luke?" he asked. Luke nodded, "Yeah, and what about you?" Anthony responded, "Yeah, it took a lot of convincing, but my mom finally allowed me." All eyes turned to Jasmine, waiting for her reply. She sighed, "My mom is going out tonight, so I'll be babysitting." Luke empathized, "Oh, bummer."
Time flew by, and the school day came to an end. Luke hurried home, eagerly preparing for the party. Donning one of his favorite outfits and spritzing some fresh deodorant, he waited eagerly at the door for Sandra. "Sandra! Let's go! The party is about to start," he called out. She responded, "I'm coming," as she gracefully descended the stairs in a dazzling gown. Luke couldn't help but compliment her, "Hm, not bad." Sandra giggled and replied, "Okay, let's go already."
With a quick farewell to their parents, Luke and Sandra set off, filled with anticipation. Kelvin bid them farewell, saying, "Take care, kids," while Jessica waved her hands, saying goodbye.
Sandra and Luke set out on their journey, the anticipation of the party filling the air. As they arrived, the vibrant sounds of music and laughter greeted their ears. Luke excitedly made his way towards his friends, while Sandra sought out her own group. Greeting her friends Madison and Scarlett, Sandra couldn't help but overhear their conversation about someone named Ella. Madison laughed, pointing in Ella's direction, labeling her as a "weirdo." Scarlett chimed in, agreeing with the sentiment. Curiosity piqued, Sandra approached Ella with a friendly greeting. "Hey there," Sandra said, breaking the ice. Ella seemed taken aback, expecting judgment rather than kindness. "Hi," Ella replied cautiously. Sandra continued, wanting to bridge the gap. "I heard you're new here. I don't believe in judging people without getting to know them. My name is Sandra, what's yours?" Ella's guard slowly began to crumble as she realized that Sandra genuinely wanted to be her friend.
Sandra extended her hand, and they shook hands as friends do. As the night wore on, Sarah bid farewell to the party, hailing a taxi to take her home. Meanwhile, Luke and Anthony engaged in lively discussion, their laughter filling the air as they strolled along the path towards their homes.
Suddenly, out of the darkness, Dean and Hayden appeared, notorious bullies from their school, clearly intoxicated. "Where do you think you're going?" Dean sneered, his words slurred. Luke, not wanting any trouble, replied, "It's late, Dean. We just want to get home before curfew."
Dean laughed mockingly, joined by Hayden. "What's the rush, little boys? Afraid mommy will scold you?" Dean taunted. Luke, growing frustrated, retorted, "We don't have time for this. Let us go."
Infuriated, Dean grabbed Luke by the collar. "You think you can walk away from me?" he seethed. In a moment of panic, Luke swung his fist, inadvertently connecting with Dean's face. "You're dead now," Dean growled, his anger escalating.
As Dean and Hayden launched a brutal attack on Luke and Anthony, Dean, completely out of control, grabbed a half-empty bottle of alcohol and smashed it on the ground. In the chaos, the broken glass pierced Anthony's right hand, causing him pain. Luke, determined to protect his friend, shouted, "Run, Anthony, run!"
With Hayden hot on his heels, Anthony sprinted away, desperate to escape. Meanwhile, Dean continued to pummel Luke until blood stained the ground. "You're nothing but trash," Dean spat, his disdain evident.
Dean was on the verge of leaving when Luke firmly grasped his clothing, refusing to let go. "Hey, you think you can just walk away?" Luke taunted, his voice dripping with contempt. Dean turned his head, his eyes narrowing with anger. "What did you just call me?" he growled. Luke smirked, unyielding. "I called you an asshole, bitch," he spat. Dean's rage ignited, his fists clenched, ready to strike. But before he could make a move, Luke's hand found a broken bottle on the ground and swiftly plunged it into Dean's side.
In that moment, thunder crackled in the sky, followed by a blinding flash of lightning. Luke's eyes flickered, briefly turning a haunting shade of orange before returning to their normal white. The forest loomed nearby, beckoning to him. With Dean's blood staining his hands, Luke ventured deeper into the dark depths of the woods, lost in a whirlwind of thoughts.
Meanwhile, Jessica and Kelvin rushed to the scene, their hearts pounding as they absorbed Anthony's frantic account of what had just unfolded. The presence of the police added a layer of tension to the already charged atmosphere. The moon, radiant and full, cast an ethereal glow upon the dense forest, heightening the suspense.
Luke's body convulsed, a ripple of unimaginable power surging through his veins. Bones cracked and twisted, reshaping his limbs into a more primal form. His skin stretched and morphed, sprouting a thick coat of fur that shimmered under the moonlight. His hands transformed into sharp, claw-like appendages, exuding a dangerous aura.
With each passing moment, Luke's human features faded away, replaced by those of a fearsome creature. His face elongated into a snout, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth. His once warm and kind eyes now burned with an intense, primal hunger. A low, guttural growl escaped his throat as he embraced his newfound identity as a werewolf.
As the transformation reached its completion, Luke stood tall on four powerful legs, his body pulsating with raw energy. He let out a bone-chilling howl that reverberated through the forest, sending shivers down everyone's spines. Jessica's eyes widened in disbelief as she gazed upon Dean's lifeless body. "He's triggered the curse," she murmured, her words trembling. Without wasting a moment, Kelvin called out Luke's name, his voice filled with uurgency
Jessica, fueled by determination, joined him in their quest to find Luke, venturing further into the mysterious depths of the forest.
Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes startled Jessica, her heart racing with fear. Slowly, she turned her head, only to be confronted by Luke's presence emerging from the undergrowth as a werewolf.
"Luke!" Kelvin exclaimed,
