Chapter 2 Second Chapter.

What. What the heck is going on?

There was grass at that lower level. It is the grass. Extra blades of grass A very significant quantity of forestland. She seemed to be within a large cave system that was situated right in the middle of no man's land. From what she could tell, she was in the middle of no man's land. She was aware that caves could be dug and converted into residences or even hotels, but she never believed that the inside of caves could be built to give the idea of being so hospitable and up to day. At one point, she had the idea that she was still in California due to a number of factors, but she also had the sensation that the cost of the taxi ride back to her house would be rather high. It is fortunate that the person who kidnapped her had a lot of money. In particular, taking into consideration the fact that there did not seem to be any sign of her purse wherever it might be located, If there was a joke involved, she did not get it at all, even if it was intended to be funny.

She calmed herself by straightening out her hair, which was the bane of her existence since it couldn't seem to decide what shade of blonde it wanted to be, and then she made her way towards the exit on wobbly legs. Her hair was the source of her life's sorrow. It's possible that she would have been more cautious if she hadn't been so annoyed, drowsy, and confused at the time. Aside from that, she reasoned that if these wolves had any intention of hurting her, they would have already done so, and if they had wanted to do so, they most surely would not have permitted her to sleep on such a nice bed in such an extravagant suite.

She gave the door handle a tug, but to her utter surprise and frustration, the door had already been locked. You didn't lock it, did you? She delivered a resounding knock on the door while yelling out "Hey!" in a loud voice. There was no sound whatsoever. "Helloooooooooo!" Good morning! There has been no alteration.

So, to conclude, she was trapped inside a new facility that was occupied with foreign shifters, and she was in an unusual environment overall. Her wolf was really angry as a consequence of this. If a shapeshifter were to be trapped in a tiny place, they would experience increased levels of irritation and agitation. "What's the deal? This is what the person holding you captive wants to communicate to you! "For the love of god, open the door!"

A laugh followed the turning of a key, and then the door slowly opened. After that, the door was opened again in a methodical way. When Mera found herself face to face, or more appropriately, face to chest, with the mountain, she was met with what could only be described as a living, breathing mountain. There is a second wolf here. She arched an eyebrow in response to his smug and malicious grin, wondering what on earth could be so funny about it. "You're not asleep. Good."

"And exactly which dwarf do you think you are?" She was a sarcastic bitch, and when she got ticked off, the sarcasm took on a life of its own. No, it was not a good moment to make jokes; nonetheless, she was a sarcastic bitch.

His grin became wider. "The Alpha wishes to have a conversation with you." "And the Alpha of what...?"

He gave a knowing wink. "Be my follower."

Mera rolled her eyes at his arrogant strut as they continued further into the mountain, and then she followed him down a tunnel that led deeper into the mountain. She was able to piece together that it was really a network of tunnels, much like a massive ant colony, when she saw that there were occasional forks in the path. The light cream walls, much like those in the bedroom, had such a flawless surface that they gave off the impression of being soft. Her wolf was going crazy because of the strange smells that she couldn't identify, and it wanted Mera to explore the area. Would you mind informing me of where I am?

The man grumbled, "Everything will become clear in a short while."

When she said, "How about how I got here?" Her voice was agitated and she sounded annoyed. "The Alpha will walk you through everything," according to them.

Although she tried her best to stifle the growl that came out of her mouth, it seemed to get a laugh out of him.

As soon as they arrived, Mountain Man pulled open a large black door for her to step through so that they could continue on their trip. Soon after, they reached their destination. They were now inside a large kitchen with an open floor layout, which had oak cabinetry, platinum appliances, and a countertop made of black marble. The kitchen was astonishingly modern and sophisticated at the same time. In the centre of the large room was a dining table that was constructed of wood and was rather lengthy. It was possible to make out a handful of the male wolf shifters wandering around the area's borders. As soon as she entered the room, every head turned in her way, and the crowd dispersed, which made it possible for her to observe who was sitting at the table. Her lower jaw was perilously close to making contact with the ground.

You may go motherfuck yourself, pig. Ken Callahan is the person in question.

She was conscious of the fact that she had not come deliberately to this place at this time, and she was cognizant of this truth. No matter how drunk she got, she would not have been able to overlook the fact that the person she was with was a psychopath. Even if she had been out drinking all night and become absolutely wasted, she still would not have been able to do so. He was highly antagonistic, had a horrible reputation, and was feared, respected, and worshipped all at the same time. He was quite similar to the black mamba snake in this regard. That had a lot to do with the myth that he had challenged and almost murdered a senior Alpha male when he was only fourteen years old, and that was a delicate age for a challenge of that kind. An experienced Alpha male who was also his father and who was also his grandpa This man was his grandfather.

If what Mera seemed to have overheard was accurate, then Ken had been kicked out of the group rather than elevated to the position of Alpha male. The behaviour of the individuals involved had caused a schism in the organisation, particularly among the members who disapproved of the decision to accompany him. They had banded together to form their own pack, and Ken had assumed the role of alpha male. They had won their own territory by engaging in war with other packs. It was possible that the reason that this particular Alpha had not yet been defeated was attributable to the fact that his wolf had a penchant to become hostile during battles. And at this moment, she was positioned close to him. She couldn't help but have the sensation that the whole universe was laughing at her expense behind her back, and she couldn't help but feel humiliated.

Because she was being held captive by someone who was not in the least bit mentally stable, or, to put it another way, because she was being held captive by this person, her wolf should have been at least a little bit on edge. She was in the company of someone who was not the least bit mentally stable. There was no reason for her anger against Mera and it was completely unwarranted. Absolutely not, under any circumstances! Because his scent was so close to the one that was coming from the bedroom, her wolf knew him as having come from there, and this made it want to make seductive contact with him. The poor fellow

Okay, Mera wasn't going to deny that the murderer was a psychopath, but she was ready to acknowledge that the murderer was extraordinarily gorgeous. It looked as if his terrible frown and the sharpness in his icy blue eyes were simply serving to add to the severity of the situation. It was easy to see his washboard abs, strong shoulders, and sculpted upper body through his washboard t-shirt. To put it plainly, he was in excellent physical condition. Even though Mera was not typically a fan of the Highland style, she found that she could not help but appreciate the body of the person in question. In addition, both her body and her wolf blindly responded to the power that was virtually buzzing about him; he wore authority like a second skin. He was the dominant figure in the room. He commanded the attention of everyone in the room. Surprisingly, rather than making her feel insulted, his direct and deep look was boosting her blood temperature. He seemed to be trying to intimidate her. His eyes had taKen on the look of being glassy and voracious, which delighted and terrified her in equal measure. Because of that, the wolf that slept inside of her yowled with joy. The innate need that had taKen hold of her was so potent that it was on the verge of causing her discomfort.
