The man was dumbfounded. He stared at Valerie in disbelief.
What woman in her right mind would say something like that in a public place like this to a stranger?
Even if she's a little crazy, she should at least have a sense of shame. Ah, yes, don't crazy people have no shame?
Although his face was flushed red, the man still shook his head. After saying sorry, he hurried away leaving Valerie tilting her head in confusion.
All this time, he knew that only a man would say such words to a woman he was interested in. But now, it was a woman! Even worse, he was the target.
"Just like that, you're running away. Not cool!" Valerie snorted in annoyance as she straightened up. She took out a bill from her bag and placed it under the untouched juice glass. Then she stood up and walked out of the cafe.
This place is no fun!
I wanted to have a good time but instead, I found a stiff man who was very old-fashioned. Can't be bothered to play!
Valerie took this place to heart and made sure not to come back in the future.
The man's attitude was a rejection of Valerie. She hated that. Because in her entire life, she had only counted the number of times she had been rejected.
Therefore, to get rid of her resentment, she chose to walk. Walking down the street without thinking about where the street was going.
"I should have just gone shopping. There must be a lot of fun things in the mall. If there are no handsome men, there are still thousands of beautiful things," Valerie muttered, taking the road that turned to the right. She did not notice that the road she took was very quiet, contrary to the road to the left. "Should I go there now?"
However, despite this, Valerie's long legs continued to move forward. Once halfway down the street, she suddenly stopped her steps as her ears heard the faint sound of a punch. Her head turned to the right and then to the left, but she found nothing.
Valerie shrugged her shoulders unconcernedly and resumed her steps. But after only four steps, she stopped again when she suddenly heard an unfamiliar sound. Like the sound of something breaking.
With such curiosity, Valerie tucked her beautifully coiffed hair behind her ear. She tried to sharpen her sense of hearing to ascertain where the voices were coming from.
To the left!
Wait... it sounds like it's coming from the right.
Ah, why is the sound so hard to detect?
Was it actually from the left or the right?
Valerie's eyebrows came together as she focused on trying to catch the faint sound. Right! Valerie turned her head to the right and steadily stepped closer to two large houses that looked very quiet. But the voice didn't seem to be coming from there.
"Road?" Valerie who was looking around the house accidentally saw a small alley between the two mansions. She peered into it and slowly stepped closer. "It seems to be behind this house. But why is it so quiet here? There's no sign of life at all."
Valerie looked back several times. She walked by holding the wall on her left and right because, to be honest, it was a little dark here so she was afraid of falling especially since she was wearing heels. Her body and pretty face could get hurt if that happened.
Valerie's bravery deserves a thumbs up. If other women might choose to leave instead of approaching. Apart from the increasingly clear sound of arguing, Valerie is also a woman. Alone, too.
That girl is!
Because she had parents who loved her so much, Valerie didn't even think about whether it was dangerous or not.
Once she reached the end, Valerie's vision instantly brightened. She was so amazed that her lips parted slightly. It turned out that behind this house was the same paved road as in front!
Amazing!
Valerie never knew there would be a neighborhood like this. A house flanked by two big roads. Like two neighborhoods with their backs to each other.
"This time I'm going to have a rare pleasure," Valerie said with a wide smile as she walked quickly towards the origin of the increasingly clear sound.
Valerie's steps suddenly stopped. She stared at the scene in front of her with sparkling eyes. Two groups of people were fighting fiercely!
"Amazing." Valerie was like looking at a treasure. She had never seen people fight fiercely like that in person. This was truly thrilling!
"Good, good! Hit it hard! Yes, yes, that's it, keep going and keep going! Hit him again, hit him in the stomach again. Great!" exclaimed Valerie, clenching her hands in the air. Now and then, she would move them emphatically, typical of a supporter.
Valerie's round eyes scanned both sides. She knew in an instant that the ones wearing black clothes with black half-face masks had the upper hand. Because of the opposing side, the people wearing black jackets with gloves had already been knocked unconscious.
But even so, there were still many left to continue the fight. Valerie was getting more and more energized. She no longer shouted, only her eyes moved enthusiastically following their fighting moves.
"Seeing them makes me want to learn martial arts," Valerie muttered. "I want to hit those handsome men who reject my charms."
One of the men in the fight hit his opponent blindly. His sharp eyes flashed coldly and asked, "This time, who ordered you?"
"Even if I die, I won't answer," the man's opponent retorted. Despite being battered and looking limp, the man was still stubborn.
The sharp-eyed man nodded briefly. "Good, then I won't hesitate to send you to hell," he said and delivered a powerful punch to the opponent's chest. Not only that, he also twisted the opponent's neck until a horrible sound was heard.
Behind the black mask he wore, the man smiled wryly and straightened his body. His gaze wandered around looking for his next opponent. But his net accidentally saw the figure of a beautiful girl standing not far from his place.
Valerie was still looking at the battle ahead very seriously. Suddenly there was a shout.
"My wife!"
The booming voice surprised not only Valerie but also everyone there. The previously ferocious battle slowly stopped and turned to the source of the voice.
Valerie could see a tall, well-built man who looked the most striking among the others staring at her with a twinkle in his eye. Instantly Valerie had a bad feeling.
"My wife!"
The voice came back. Valerie's feet slowly retreated. There was no mistaking it, the voice was coming from the man she was looking at.
Valerie had to get out of there immediately!
Yes! Valerie didn't want to die silly because she was attacked by them.
With a quick movement, Valerie turned around and ran away.
The man who called out to Valerie didn't expect her to run away at all. And so he too ran, chasing after Valerie with his wide strides.
"My wife, wait!" the man shouted.
Valerie panicked even more. Her pace quickened. Now and then she looked back to confirm the man's position and her eyes widened at the distance between them.
"Don't come after me, I don't have anything!" shouted Valerie frantically. She almost fell over several times.
Feeling that the heels she was wearing were a nuisance, Valerie paused and took them off. But because the man was still chasing her, she could only open one at a time. Valerie cursed all sorts of things and with a quick motion, she took off the other heels and threw them in a random direction.
"My wife, you'll hurt your feet if you don't wear them!" the man shouted.
His tone sounded very worried. But it made Valerie shudder in horror.
Hey, Valerie didn't do all this on purpose!
You were after me wearing heels I threw them off because I didn't want to get caught!
Whoever was in Valerie's shoes would have thought the same thing. No one wants to be caught by an unknown man. Especially since Valerie had just watched a horrifying scene.
How crazy! Even if Valerie's feet were bleeding, she would still run until the man stopped chasing her.
"My wife, stop! You'll get tired!" the man shouted again.
