Chapter 2

Matthew's Pov.

"Monica, before you go home, please clean my office. I'm leaving now" I told her. He was assigned to be my temporary secretary for now.

"Yes sir got it po" he answered so I didn't waste any more time and left at the same time as I entered the elevator.

After I arrived at the company's parking lot, I immediately looked for my car, got in and started driving.

"I'm home" I shouted when I entered the house.

"Oh Matthew, it's good that you're home, your brother was waiting for you earlier" mom greeted me so suddenly my mood changed.

"I'm going upstairs mom" I said as I jumped upstairs.

After I got to my room, I immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower, and after taking a shower, I dressed in boxer shorts. I'm used to wearing this at home.

After getting dressed, I was about to go out when I was suddenly stopped when someone spoke.

"Brother...you're back home" he said but didn't look at her.

"How are you bro?... I know you miss me--" he didn't finish what he was going to say when I suddenly interrupted.

"Can you please stop being nice to me?!" Annoyed as he said so he stared at me.

"Do you think I miss you too?..is that what you want to know from me? My answer is No!...I'm really happy that you're not here...and now you're back as if you're innocent. . so while I can still take it easy, Don't try to talk to me that way coz I don't like it" she said to him while leaving him in that place.

"Ohh Matthew...have you seen your brother?...come on let's eat"

"I don't know" he didn't feel like answering and walked straight into the kitchen.

"Sai, are you sure this is the village?" I asked him while we were in front of the tallest building I've ever seen in my whole life shems.

"I don't know, but this is the address on the text of their company." Answer.

"That's right, let's go in" I said pulling him.

As soon as we entered the entrance, someone immediately greeted our girl.

"Hi how can I help you ma'am?" he asked.

I didn't explode, but my attention was focused inside. You can't help but be amazed at the beauty of their design.

"Ahh, we miss the one your company sent for a personal interview," said Sai, who answered the woman's question because I couldn't lose sight of my innocence because of the beauty.

"You can wait there by the chair, I'll go see the manager here." He said so we nodded at the same time and went to the seat he was talking about.

After a while someone came to our girl in uniform.

"Who is Klio's Madrigal?" He asked so I stood up and answered.

"I am ma'am?" It's a bit embarrassing to say.

"Sir waited a while ago, go see him in his office." He said. So we've been waiting for a while now. It's me.

"Ahhmm where is his office?" I ask because I might get lost here.

"Take the elevator there, it's straight to the boss's office and you miss. Saichi?" He still asked me.

"Yes ma'am" he answered.

"Follow me and you Mr. Madrigal, you need to hurry" he finally said while continuing to walk.

"Well, let's meet later, good luck," Sai said as he quickly followed. So I started walking to the elevator as soon as I got in there.

After the elevator opened, I got out and walked to the door.

'maybe this is their boss's office' he said to himself.

I immediately knocked on the door for the third time when suddenly someone spoke.

"Come in" said the person inside so I opened it and entered slowly.

"What's brought you here? And who are you?" He said directly while his sister focused on what she was doing.

"Ahmm.. I'm the one who will apply for secretary?" I said quietly because it's because of the look of sir. It's scary how strict it looks and how moody it is.

"Okay?...give me your papers" he said so I quickly handed them to him. He accepted it and opened it to read my resume.

"So you're Klio Madrigal graduated as BSBA" he said.

"Ahmm yes sir" I answered because it was true.

"Okay you're hired, start your work now" he said listlessly, concentrating on what he was doing.

But I, still standing, don't know what to do first.

"What else are you doing? Go to your table" he said while pointing to the right. So I came there.

"Ah sir... What should I do?" I asked him.

"What does a secretary do?... Don't tell me you don't know?" He said seriously.

I nodded slowly.

"F*ck...just tell me what schedules or meetings I need to attend this morning" he said annoyed.

That's why I was scared, because it was my first job that made him angry.

So I started reading what was posted on the computer. Aunt wrote down the schedules that she had to go to.

Now I realize, it's not easy to be a secretary.

Klio's Madrigal Pov

I've been here for three weeks as a secretary, it can be said that I've learned a lot, so I don't just ask the boss what I should do because I know something. So I will go to him now.

After I arrived at his place, the busy boss immediately appeared to me.

"Ahh sir, you have a meeting with Mr. Tan this 10 am" I told him so he stopped.

"Okay just go I need to focus" he pushed me away. I'm not surprised anymore because I'm used to sir being like that to me in the past three weeks. I got used to his attitude. But I'm not in a position to get angry because he's my boss and I'm just his employee.

"Okay sir" I said. I would have left suddenly if I forgot that his mom had something to say. So I looked at him again.

"Ahmm... Sir, your mom told you that you have to go to dinner this evening, that's all I'm leaving, sir" he said goodbye and left for good.

When I came out I just blew out the air. "Hysst I wish I could handle this man's attitude" I exclaimed to myself as I walked to my office.

Yes, I have my own office here. I thought we were the only one, hyster.

"Sir, maybe this is the restaurant he was talking about where you can meet" I said to him while pointing it to him.

I don't even know why he took me with him, but what he said to me before we left is still in my head.

"Sir, are you sending me here," said Kenneth? I asked him. Kenneth is one of my friends here at the company.

"Yes we need to go it's already 10" he said so I was surprised.

"Ahh sir do I really have to come?" I wonder if I asked him. Is it really like this when you're a secretary like you're submissive?

"Of course, as my secretary, you need to remember what we all talk about" he said so I nodded.

"And remember this, when we get there, don't be rude, be professional and make sure I'm right next to you." He said as he walked out. Surprise appeared on my face.

"What are you waiting for, let's go in" he said while holding my hand and dragging me inside. There really is no way.

"Ohh Mr. Hellington you're here, it's good that you arrived" we were greeted by a man in a coat. I don't expect you to meet the boss's age.

"Yes Mr. Tan, I won't come here if there is no reason" sir didn't want to answer as he sat down in the next empty seat and I just stood next to him. He didn't say I wouldn't leave his side so he did it because I might get killed.

Klio's Pov.

"I have a project that I want to do this week Mr. Hellington and I need your company to be part of that project" said Mr. Tan.

I am still here next to sir Hawang listening to what they are talking about.

"Ohh is that so,. What project is that?" Sir doesn't care.

"I'm planning to make some hospitals in rural areas that are far from the emergency hospital so that, they won't have any more difficulties." Mr. answered. Tan.

"Nice idea, okay." Sir answered.

"Okay good, and by the way who's that someone beside you?...is that your new secretary?" He suddenly asked looking at me. I bowed down because of shame.

"Yes, that's my new secretary why?" Sir asked seriously.

"Nothing... He's cute though" sir tan suddenly said making my face red, the first time to be told something cute.

"Really,. Okay we need to go, just send some details about your plans" sir suddenly said let's go together and grabbed me by his side while dragging me outside.

"Sir... just wait" I said but he kept pulling my hand until we were in his car.

"What did you do? And you were really cute in Tan village?" He suddenly said that shocked me.

The cute one he says. I bowed down because of shame and then they said I was being cute? It's intense.

"Sir, I'm not making him cute." My reason is because it is true. I think he's mad at me.

"I told you being professional, it's just that Bob* you're also deaf" he said as he got into the car and started it while driving away. I was left alone.

"that boss shit!!" I shouted. I couldn't stop my anger at that man.

All I did was hail a taxi to take me to the company.

Matthew's Pov.

("By the way he's cute")

What's cute? And when did that become cute?... It's just his looks. No one wants to be with him.

"When did a guy get cute?" I suddenly asked myself.

But why am I suddenly annoyed that the Tan village called him cute? I don't know anything about other people, except for people I know very well, but why did I do that?...to suddenly get angry with him?

Klio's Pov.

I'm here today at my condo, because it's a week today so I won't go in so I planned to go to the grocery store near the condominium. But before leaving, I took a shower and then dressed in a simple t-shirt and shorts.

After I got out, I immediately locked the door, just to make sure we might get robbed hehe.

[GROCERY STORE]

"What's not in my condo?" I asked myself. Because you looked at what was not in the kitchen hyst.

I decided to buy things to use for cooking like ingredients and then I went to the counter to pay.

"Ahmm sir... it's all ₱300.00 pesos" said the cashier so I gave him 500 so he gave me 200 in return.

After that, I left because there were many others who followed me.

When I came out, I suddenly fell down so I sat on the floor causing my seat to hurt.

"I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose" said the person who bumped into me, I looked at it very seriously.

"Next time, look where you're going" I yelled at him and he supported me. At the same time, he picked up the food that was scattered on the floor.

"This ohh I'm really sorry, next time I'll be careful I'm sorry" he asked again and again to call. That's really a big deal for him.

"Yes, I'm going to leave" I said goodbye to him while walking when I was suddenly stopped by his hand holding my wrist. I turned around in surprise.

"What is your name?" He suddenly asked. Wait, why does he need to know my name?

"I'm --" he couldn't finish what he was going to say when my cellphone rang.

"Just excuse me, I'll answer it for you" I said to him with a little distance.

"Hello?" I asked on the other line.

"Where are you? Aren't you at your condo?" I will not be surprised by the tone of his speech.

"I'm here at the grocery store, sir, why?" I asked him. Why did you call because I'm not at work at the company today because it's the week.

"Make it fast. Go to my condo" he said which made me startled. What should I do there?

"Sir, why am I going to your condo?" I asked again.

"Don't ask to much just come here" he said annoyed as he hung up. There really is no way.

After we talked with sir, I approached the man who bumped into me again.

"Sorry, I need to leave, and I hope you'll be careful where you're going again, you might bump into someone again" I said to him as I left. I'm still waiting for him to answer because maybe sir will heat me up again if I don't go to his condo right away
