Chapter 5 Oh my gosh! It's him

Madison's POV

I drove to the hospital drenched in tears because of the fight between me and Violet.

Upon arriving at the hospital, I got to the receptionist table and made inquiries, I was directed to a compassionate doctor who listened attentively to my concerns.

The doctor conducted a thorough examination and performed additional tests to assess my health before going through with the abortion.

To my shock, the results revealed a critical medical condition that would make proceeding with the abortion a life-threatening risk.

"Doctor Reynold, why can't I have the abortion? I do not understand what you are saying." I asked the doctor who seemed hesitant to talk with me.

"Can I speak with your guardian or the baby's daddy?" Dr Reynold asked, looking very concerned.

"It's just me, doctor, nobody else." I looked down at my hands

"Okay, You have Asp" Dr Reynold Said.

"Dr if I may ask what is that?" I asked now concerned.

"It is a rare blood clotting disorder known as antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). APS is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks certain proteins in the blood, leading to an increased risk of blood clots." Dr Reynold explained.

" I don't understand, what does that have to do with my abortion?" I asked, Dr Reynold sighed.

"This condition poses a significant risk during surgical procedures, including abortion, as it can increase the likelihood of blood clots forming and potentially leading to life-threatening complications such as strokes, heart attacks, or pulmonary embolisms."

Dr Reynold paused, stood up and handed me a bottle of water.

"The combination of APS and the necessary surgical intervention for the abortion could pose an unacceptable danger to Madison's health and life. "

Dr Reynold explained the gravity of the situation and strongly advised against the procedure.

The news sent waves of fear and confusion through me.

"Dr, you are saying I could possibly die if I have this operation?" I asked to be sure if what I heard was correct.

"Yes,Miss Madison, that's what I'm saying," Doctor Reynold responded calmly.

"What do I do now?" I asked, tears rolled down my cheeks.

"You will keep the child and I will recommend some medication to help during the pregnancy" Dr Reynold explained.

I nodded my head "thank you Dr, I will see to my next appointment."

As I walked out of the hospital, my mind was swirling with a mix of emotions. The weight of the news I had just received about my medical condition and the impossibility of going through with the abortion left me feeling overwhelmed and lost. Tears streamed down my face,it felt as if I wasn't able to breathe at the moment as I tried to process the gravity of the situation.

Driving home, I couldn't shake off the fear and confusion that enveloped me.

"What did I do wrong?" I screamed, honking my car, tears running down my eyes

Where did I go wrong?

This isn't what I planned

I questioned the unfairness of it all, grappling with the reality that my plans had been abruptly shattered by my health.

As I stepped into the quietness of her house, I could feel the weight of the day's events pressing upon me. Violet wasn't home.

The emptiness of the house only amplified my feelings of solitude. Seeking solace, I made my way to the shower, hoping that the flowing water would help wash away the emotional turmoil I was experiencing.

With trembling hands, I turned on the shower, feeling the water cascading over my body. The warm droplets enveloped me, creating a soothing sensation that provided a temporary respite from the chaos of my thoughts.

As I stood under the showerhead, I closed my eyes, allowing the water to wash away the tears and the burden I had carried. With each passing moment, I felt a sense of release, as if the water was carrying away my pain and confusion.

The rhythmic sound of the water served as a calming backdrop, drowning out the noise of the world outside and allowing my mind to find some semblance of tranquility.

I woke up to the sound of Violet's voice,I didn't even realize I had slept off under the running water.

"Jesus, Madi, have you gone mad?" Violet rushed to put off the shower. I looked at her with my swollen eyes.

"Are you okay?" Violet asked the moment she looked me in the eyes, she helped me out of the shower. I didn't want to tell her but I couldn't help. I hugged her and Burst into tears crying my eyes out in the comfort of her hug.

"Madi, what's wrong? You know you can talk to me right?" She said still trying to calm me down.

"I didn't go through with the abortion" I told her.

"It's Good thing then why are you crying?" She asked,

Violet listened attentively as I poured my heart, sharing the overwhelming emotions and the recent revelation about my medical condition. Violet's eyes filled with concern as she wrapped me in a comforting blanket, offering her support and understanding.

"Oh, Madi, I'm so sorry you're going through this," Violet said softly, gently rubbing my back.

"I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. But please know that I'm here for you, no matter what. We'll get through this together."

Tears continued to stream down my face as I leaned into Violet's comforting embrace.

"I just never expected this," I whispered, my voice filled with vulnerability.

"I thought I had a choice, but now it feels like that choice has been taken away from me. It's overwhelming." Violet squeezed my hand gently, offering a reassuring presence.

"I know it's a lot to process, and it's okay to feel all these emotions. It's natural to mourn the loss of the choice you thought you had. But remember, you're not alone. We'll find a way to navigate through this, and I'll be here every step of the way."

I nodded, finding solace in Violet's words.

Thank you, Violet," I whispered, my voice filled with gratitude. "I don't know what I would do without you. Your friendship means the world to me and I am sorry about earlier."

Violet smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting the depth of their bond.

"You don't have to thank me and you don't have to be sorry, Madi. Friends are there for each other through thick and thin. And we're in this together, remember? We'll face whatever comes our way." I hugged her.

"Just go clean up, I will make lunch" Violet suggested I smiled.

I had my bath, wore something thick because I was already shivering from staying under the shower for a long time. I went down to the sweet aroma of Violet's cooking.

The enticing scent filled the air, instantly lifting my spirits. As I entered the kitchen, I saw Violet bustling around, preparing a delicious lunch for us. The sight brought a smile to my face, grateful for her comforting presence and her willingness to take care of me.

Violet looked up from the stove, her eyes filled with warmth.

"Feeling a little better, Madi?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.I nodded, appreciating her thoughtfulness.

"Yes, being here with you, it's helping. Thank you for everything, Violet."She smiled and placed a plate in front of me.

"You don't have to thank me, Madi. Friends look out for each other, especially during tough times. Now, let's eat. I made your favorite pasta dish."

The aroma of the pasta wafted through the room, instantly making my mouth water. We sat at the table, enjoying the meal and engaging in light-hearted conversation. It was a brief respite from the weight of the situation, a moment of normalcy in the midst of chaos.

As we ate, Violet kept me entertained with funny anecdotes and stories, reminding me of the bond we shared and the laughter we had experienced together. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and familiarity, grounding me in the midst of uncertainty.

After finishing our meal, we cleared the table together, the clinking of dishes creating a comforting rhythm. As we washed the dishes side by side, I felt a renewed sense of strength. I knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with Violet by my side, I felt more capable of facing the challenges that awaited me.

Once the kitchen was clean, we settled in the living room, wrapped in cozy blankets. We talked, laughed, and simply enjoyed each other's company.

As the day turned into evening,I leaned into the warmth of the blanket, In the cozy living room.

"Let's watch my favorite TV show," Violet suggested.

"Okay sure" I smiled.

She put on her favorite show, she was busy watching the show while I was locked up in my phone.

"That's my man, right there, my favorite man" I chuckled, I raised my head slightly to watch her playful gesture.

"That's my man Adrian Myles walker." Violet said , the name Adrian ringing a bell in my head.

I raised my head out of curiosity to see this Adrian guy and a wave of shock pass through my entire body

"That's Him" I said, Violet looked at me utterly confused.

"Who?" She questioned

"Adrian, that's my baby daddy." I revealed.
