Chapter 6 Alexei Petrov

'Stay safe' hugging each other, Lorenzo wished them safe journey.

'Don't worry, jet is ready and it will not take long for us to reach' Antonio patted him on his shoulder.

He and his brother Luca were the children of Matteo Bianchi's younger brother, who died with his wife in a plane crash when they were very young, since then Matteo and Sienna Bianchi raised them with the same love and care they had for their own children.

They all had very good bonding between them, but their position and task had forced them to remain strict and formal while they are at job.

'I need results by the month end, if you failed this time, be prepared for the consequences then' taking file from Luca's hand Enzo was glaring at them, who had very similar features, both had green eyes like their father's and blonde hair.

'We will try our best bro' Luca forcefully received the hug from Enzo, since he had become the Don, he avoids to get emotionally close to his family members, it was not like he take them as his weakness, instead they were his strength but being a don he knows better what threat lied over their head and it was better to keep distance, for their own safety.

'Okay, we are leaving now' Enzo opened the door of the back seat and slid inside, whereas Antonio sat on passenger seat with the driver.

Riley was sedated before she was brought back from the dungeon, they had nothing to ask or discuss from her so why bother listening her sobbing or pleading.

Glancing at her petite figure, Enzo growled he did not like the add on of another work on his already packed schedule.

'What wanting to throw her from the running car' Antonio wriggle his brow, he knew, only the presence of this girl was irritating him, and if she turned out the spy of any of the mafia as they were thinking, he himself was not sure what his don will do and how brutally he would react.

'I haven't received her information file yet' instead of responding on his comment, he showed his annoyance on not receiving something he had asked.

'Woah, hold on man. We came back around four in morning, then you had meeting and then we went to inspect her and now we are heading towards Italy' he was babbling on showing how much they were busy when Enzo put full stop on him.

'Cut the crap' Antonio narrowed his eyes at him.

'You will receive it when we will land on Italy' Enzo sighed.

'Wasn't this easy and short to say' he mocked his cousin.

'Sure don' Antonio retaliated in same scorn.

Alexei was seated behind his wooden desk, his laptop was placed in front of him, whereas stack of papers has covered the space on his desk. His office room was spacious, besides his large desk his office was occupied by the set of couches, two single chairs. One side of wall was designed with antique shelf to keep all his books and files in sequence.

Whereas other walls were painted in dark brown color, giving his office a rich look.

His brother Kirill and his right hand man Viktor were sitting opposite to him. They all were discussing about the deal that is signed by them.

'Are you sure expansion will help us?' Viktor questioned him, before the deal was signed he was opposed of it according to him there was already too much on their plate to manage and shouldn't add on further until some issues are sorted out.

Alexei was the head of Russian mafia he took over after his father Stepan stepped down two years ago, since he had taken the lead, many mafia leaders followed his father and let their son to rule their mafia world.

He didn't have any issue, instead he appreciated because they all belonged to the same age group and he thought it would be easy to communicate with them rather than talking with old man who will try to intimidate him using their experience and power. Soon he realized he was wrong and many young don who have taken over are thirsty for the power and are ready to break the peace treaty and start the war over large group of mafias.

'We have to Viktor, after the attack on Italian mafia I am afraid to keep my reliance on Europe mafias, they are not reliable anymore'

'He is right, now look at Enzo, he thinks we were the one who had attacked him and killed his girlfriend' Kirill took part in the conversation, turning the environment tensed.

'Speaking of this, what have you decide about Ivan, he is in his prison for one month now' Kirill fisted his hand, their brother was captured by Enzo blaming he killed his girlfriend and they were helpless.

'I have used my sources, he is in France, the mansion Lorenzo and Luca lives.' Alexei ruffled his hair, it was his habit that whenever he is tensed he ruffles his hair with every small interval.

'And about his condition? You think they wouldn't have beat or harm him, I am damn sure they had tortured him' Kirill blow up in rage, since he was caught by Italian mafia, their father had stopped them to take any haste action as it would eventually turn in to a war and it is the last thing he wants with Italian Mafia.

'Kirill calm down' Viktor and Alexei looked at him with pain in their eyes.

'Why? You and dad both are doing nothing, letting them know we are weak and can't even take our brother out from their prison.' Alexei frowned at his sneering.

'What you think I am doing? Making dealings with mafias, contacting black market people and making new list of our alliance. You think I am sitting on this chair just enjoying my power ordering everyone around.' Viktor stood from his place and moved towards Alexei who was glaring at his younger brother.

'This all doesn't define how you are going to free Ivan from those bastards' Kirill yank his hand letting all the files to fall down.

'Behave yourself Kirill, you are my brother it doesn't mean you can do anything. I am Don of the mafia and you have to accept my decisions, and about Ivan, he is my brother too, he is second in command of our world, I am more worried then you are so stop behaving like only you care' shouting at him he motioned him to leave his office.

'Get out of here, I don't want to see you face, not at least today' Kirill moved his eyes to Viktor, who assured him through his eyes to leave and everything will be fine, let his brother to cool down. Hitting the chair, he was seated he turned and left his room letting the door close with loud bang.

'Call Matteo and arrange my meeting with him' after his anger subsided he asked Viktor to contact old don of Italian mafia, he need to sort this out, they were blame for something they haven't did, he has to clear out his mafia's name.

'Do you think he will agree to talk with us?' Alexei pressed his lips tightly, Viktor was right, the betrayal was taken very seriously in underworld, this act was not forgiven not at all, no any excuse was considered acceptable when betrayal is done either by mafia's own men or between mafias.

'We should try at least I am confident he will listen. He is saner than his son' Viktor nodded, Matteo Bianchi was considered as most composed and wise don of his time in the underworld.

'I will contact him immediately after our meeting' Alexei sighed.

'Meeting is ended, you can leave and inform to me once he agrees' Viktor was opening the door to leave when Alexei called him.

'Viktor, keep check on Kirill, we can't afford any foolishness at the moment' understanding his hidden message Viktor assured him that he will talk with Kirill and will try to put some sense in his mind.
