Chapter 5 Possessive Fiancé And Poor Father

Li Lian sighed when she thought of her fiancé. Having a fiancé who loved her so much and didn't want to see her go far away was a troublesome thing for Li Lian.

"Of course. Who is Gu Ziyu? Besides your boss, she's also your fiancé. I won't let you go either. Even though Gu Ziyu is not your fiancée, she still won't let you go because she doesn't want to waste a talented person like you. Not only are you his fiancée, you are also his bringer of good luck."

"But I plan to take annual leave. I want to go on vacation and explore my knowledge. I will go to Indonesia. Incidentally, Gu Corporation's market will be expanded there."

Yuan Yuan who was lying on the bed suddenly woke up when she heard Li Lian's words. She felt interested when she heard the name of the country.

Li Lian went into her room and picked up her cell phone. The woman switched her phone call to a video call. Li Lian was now making video calls while lying down as well.

"You know that my job is a food vlogger, right? Lately, I've been interested in trying traditional food. I heard that Indonesia has a lot of traditional food. I want to explore it. How about it? Do you want to take me?"

Li Lian frowned when she heard Zhang Yuan Yuan-her friend. However, it didn't seem like a bad thing. Li Lian immediately thought of something.

"It seems like a good idea. If you come, Ziyu will definitely not refuse. He will definitely let me go. I also want to get away from him. For some reason, I feel lazy meeting him."

"Yikes. You! After all, he is your fiancé. You want to say he's possessive, right? I think that's normal. You're so pretty. There are so many men out there who want to get close to you. It's normal for Ziyu to be like that with you."

"Is that true?" Li Lian asked to confirm. She immediately got a nod from Yuan Yuan.

"Alright, I'll tell Ziyu first. If everything goes well, we'll leave in a week."

"Yes, so I'm going to Indonesia? Alright, I'll wait to hear from you."

Li Lian immediately hung up the video call. She immediately looked up Gu Ziyu's number and sent him a message. Li Lian was afraid of disturbing her rest. So, the woman didn't call. She sent a message.

[Li Lian] I will take my annual leave and go to Indonesia with Yuan Yuan in a week later. How is it? Can I go there?]

[Gu Ziyu: With Yuan Yuan, right?]

[Li Lian: Yes.]

[Gu Ziyu: Actually, I can't be away from you. But if you want to go, fine, you can go. But you still have to tell me whenever and whatever you do there. How about it?"]

Getting an answer like that Li Lian began to feel relieved. Finally her plan didn't fail this time because of Gu Ziyu's possessiveness.

[Li Lian: Okay, thank you. Good night.]

[Gu Ziyu: Good night too, Honey.]

Li Lian closed her cell phone and kept it beside her. She began to turn off the main light in her room and turned on the nightlight. She was preparing to sleep.

"Romi, why did you just tell me that I have a meeting this afternoon? I'll be late picking up Kalingga."

Arion quickly left the restaurant where he was meeting with his client. He was seen reprimanding his assistant for making him late in picking up Kalingga at Vian's house. Romi who heard this continued to apologize. He felt guilty.

"I apologize, Sir. The meeting was indeed advanced. I thought you had seen the meeting schedule that Nessie gave you. I didn't know that Sir was in a hurry today."

Romi followed Arion quickly as he made his way to the parking lot. After reaching the front of his car, Arion paused and turned around.

"That's enough. You just go home! I'll pick up Kalingga."

Romi nodded at Arion's command. The man stepped aside and allowed his boss to pass him by. After Arion left, Romi immediately contacted Nessie--Arion's secretary.

"I was reprimanded by Mr. Arion for forgetting to tell me that there was a meeting this afternoon."

From elsewhere, Nessie who was quite close to Romi could only laugh. She knew how it felt to be reprimanded by Arion.

Arion is not fierce. It was just that, if he was reprimanded, there would be a bad feeling in his heart. Like something was bothering, even though Arion acted normal when it was over.

Arion was driving his car at a fairly high speed. The man got news that Kalingga had fallen asleep waiting for Arion to finish the meeting. Arion felt bad for abandoning his son. So, he drove to Vian's house at a fast pace.

"Where's Kalingga?" Arion asked after arriving at his friend's house.

"She's sleeping. Should I wake her up?" replied Vian, who opened the door for Arion.

"Let me just carry her right away. It's a pity to wake him up."

"Alright, come on in!"

Vian let Arion in to take Kalingga home. The man led Arion to the living room. Kalingga was asleep on the sofa. At first, they wanted to move her to her room. However, for fear of disturbing Kalingga's sleep, Vian decided against it.

"Don't you feel sorry for your son? You're too busy with your work and can't be with your son all the time. Aren't you planning to find a surrogate mother? After all, your child needs a mother figure in his life. Moreover, Kalingga is growing up. The role of a mother is very important to him."

Vian's words were enough to break Arion's heart. He knew that it was not fair to Kalingga. He knew that Kalingga needed a mother. However, Arion still could not accept his wife's departure. So, until now the man still has no plans to remarry.

"I'll think about it," Arion said and began to hold his son's tiny body. The man immediately said goodbye and went to take Kalingga to his car.

"I'm sorry, Kalingga," Arion whispered after laying his son in the back seat. Arion quickly started his car and headed home.
