Chapter 3 Getting a Job

After leaving the hospital, Leora walked aimlessly. With tears that faithfully accompany him, she is confused about where to find the money for her father's surgery costs. Even Leora doesn't have special skills when it comes to working, she also doesn't know where to look for work.

"What can I do, god. I don't want to lose dad. The only dad I have," she muttered, rubbing his face roughly.

Just as she was about to take another step, Leora's eyes opened wide when she saw a middle-aged woman in the middle of the highway, a car was speeding towards her.

"Auntie, watch out!"

Suddenly Leora ran to the old woman, pushing her body so that both of them fell on the side of the road, Leora's elbow hurt from holding the woman's head from hitting the road.

"Auntie, are you okay?" asked Leora after she had saved him.

The woman just shook her head in response to Leora's question.

Leora breathed a sigh of relief, the middle-aged woman was fine. Even though she hurt her elbow.

"Good, let me help," said Leora helping the woman up.

"Thank you, what's your name?" the woman asked, smiling at Leora.

Leora smiled back, "My name is Leora Adhisti Ale..."

Leora stopped her speech, for a while Leora didn't want to mention her family surname. To make it easy to find work, and to avoid questions about his father's bankrupt company. Prayoga is a businessman, who is occasionally covered by the media. Especially now that she suddenly seems to have disappeared from the business world, surely many are asking questions about him.

The woman raised an eyebrow, waiting for the continuation of Leora's words.

"Em, Leora Adhisti," continued Leora, smiling faintly.

"My name is Rumi, thank you Leora for helping me," said Rumi, to which Leora nodded her head.

"Mommy!" shouted a handsome man, with a sharp nose and white skin. And hazel eyes, which made Leora a little dazzled when she saw them. The gray coat attached to his body made the man's charisma even bigger.

The man ran to Leora, to be precise towards Rumi who was with Leora.

'So handsome,' Leora thought, mesmerized by the young man's good looks.

"What's the wrong Momy? Are you okay?" he said looking worried, pushing Leora's body away from her mother.

Leora who wasn't ready finally fell back on the ground. Leora was annoyed with the man in front of her, the man's handsomeness seemed to have disappeared because of his rough treatment of Leora.

"Aw, doesn't he see I'm here?" Leora grumbled quietly, then stood staring blankly at the annoying man.

"I'm fine. It's just, I almost got hit by a car, honey," Rumi replied.

Yep, that guy is the young master Adnan Nicholas, the handsome young billionaire. But behind that good looks, stored arrogant and rude nature. Make anyone who looks at him will shudder in horror and will think twice about dealing with him. Because Adnan will not hesitate to destroy and kill all his enemies.

Adnan glared at Leora, gripping Leora's arm roughly. Making the woman moan in pain because her elbow is also injured.

"You must have done it!" Adnan snapped, gripping Leora's arm roughly. Staring at Leora with a deadly glare.

"Aww, it hurts," Leora moaned feeling the pain in her injured arm.

"Why are you so stupid, can't you see? I don't drive a car. How could I hit your mother, you devil!" Leora said without thinking, no matter who Adnan is.

"Shut up! If you dare to speak again, I will cut your tongue!" Adnan threatened to tighten his grip on Leora's jaw, making Leora moan even more in pain.

Leora was surprised by Adnan's words, she swallowed her saliva roughly, covering her mouth with her hand. She didn't think there was someone like Adnan in this world, arrogant and heartless.

'Certainly, he's a human demon. What's wrong with me God? why did you meet me with a human-like him,' Leora thought, shuddering at the sight of Adnan.

"Adnan! Stop it, he didn't do it. It was Leora who helped me," said Rumi, pulling Adnan's hand to let Leora go.

Because of his mother's orders, Adnan obeyed and released his grip on Leora's jaw. Instead of apologizing for having misjudged Leora, Adnan turned his face away. With an arrogant nature, folded his arms over his chest, as if he had no sin at all.

Leora who saw that didn't expect to meet a heartless human-like Adnan. This was the first time she had come across a human being as arrogant, and annoying as that. Leora hoped that she would never meet Adnan again in her life.

After a long debate, Adnan asked his mother to go. Without feeling the slightest guilt towards Leora.

"Mom, let's go home now," he said gently pulling Rumi's hand.

But Rumi shook her head, then stopped where she was. She turned back to Leora and saw Leora's injured elbow.

"Leo, your elbow is hurt. Come with me to my house, then I will help treat your wound," said Rumi looking at Leora, occasionally stroking the top of Leora's head gently.

Leora suddenly shook her head slowly, she felt bad if she had to come to Rumi's house. Especially seeing the look on Adnan's face that was not happy, now he was looking at Leora with a sharp look. It made Leora shudder at the sight.

"No, I'm fine. I'll just go home," she said with a forced smile.

"I beg you. Come with me, okay, just take it as a sign of gratitude," said Rumi.

Finally forced, Leora nodded in agreement with Rumi's request.

"Are you guys going to keep talking all the time here?" asked Adnan who was getting lazy.

Rumi shook her head, responding to her son who was very temperamental.

"Come on, Leora," said Rumi who was nodded by Leora.

The three of them walked towards Adnan's BMW and immediately went to Rumi's house.

A few minutes later, Leora was amazed by the magnificent house of the Rumi family. Her eyes looked at all corners of the room, with the gold color dominating the entire room. Very grand and elegant, even bigger than Leora's old house.

"Leora, come sit here," said Rumi patting the sofa beside him. Telling Leora to sit down.

Leora smiled then nodded slowly, then sat down beside Rumi. While Adnan chose to just walk away, he was not at all interested in what the two of them were going to do.
