Chapter 5 Five

Once I nodded to her, she laughed her ribs out.

"You should be mad or maybe, something had affected your brain."

She spoke rudely, and I noticed she was bothered. I wasn't going to manipulate her, I just wanted her to realize something.

"Drop your ego aside and listen carefully to the beat of the drums before you begin dancing. You ain't the Luna yet."

I repeated and she, furiously, raised her hands to slap me and I held it in the air.

"Until you have given an heir to the Alpha, you can't raise your flirty hand of a betrayal on anyone or even make a jurisdiction, for now, keep those hands to yourself."

I said, and threw it away, while she stared at me and stared back at her hands.

"You may have been bond with the Alpha, but be watchful lest another assume your place."

"You want to assume my place, Emily? I have warned you, yet again be warned."

She spoke furiously and left. I sank back on the bed then I wept like never before. I soaked the pillows with my tears. I couldn't control myself as I sobbed rolling on the floor and every side of the bed. I concluded my life was over, everyone will mock me they will hate me now. If Becky discloses my real identity to her friends, then I'm finished. The one girl loved by the pack will be hated forever.

"He thinks I need Teddy? Teddy is the one that needs me, silly bitch."

I cursed as her words echoed in my ears. I should have told her I have gotten whole of Teddy, I have felt him inside of me and our breaths have caressed each other's skin.

Likewise, I kept seeing Teddy's image and the more I saw it, the more dim it became until I couldn't see it anymore, so it continued with the image of everyone, and they all fade away. There I was staring only at myself, at this time I could feel myself putting on rag I quickly opened my eyes and forbade such imagination but, it's real. The connections are gone. I'm no longer connected with them. They have broken the bond. I'm just alone.

While, I was still there, I heard a knock From the door. I didn't say anything and the door pushed open. It was the Luna and Becky. I quickly sat erect and dried my tears. I didn't want Becky to see that I was crying. I know it will mean nothing to her anyway, but I didn't want her to glory that I had been defeated.

"It is good that you have accepted the offer of an Omega, kindly follow me and I will show you your place. Furthermore, you will be assigned to Luna Becky, for some days in the week but, you are a general maid. It's a pity you have broken all connection with them, but it's okay,so far, you remain in the palace, no one will hurt you."

The Luna spoke and I stared at her confused. She is finely built with a moderate body shape and a beautiful face, her big eyes compliment her facial structure. She has the Caribbean eyes like that of Teddy. I will say Teddy, got that from her. Her voice is so mild and welcoming. But, at the moment, it was my destruction. I couldn't remember accepting the position of an Omega. I looked at Becky, and she looked away while the Luna asked me to follow her. I obediently did, knowing that this was it or nothing more. If I refuse, then I will be kicked out of the pack.

"Here! You will be sharing this room with Rosie, she is an Omega maid until your room is prepared."

The Luna said and walked away while Rosie, glared at me. I wonder why she is being so mean of a sudden. Becky, left too without saying a word.

"Were you also bought for the same purpose?"

Rosie asked, and I shook my head in the negative. I wanted to tell her Becky is my sister, but I remembered she isn't.

"Well... I was bought as a companion for the alpha and if that's not the reason you are here, then I'm afraid I can't be discussing anything with you. Have you ever felt the Alpha?"

She asked, and I turned to face her for we were already sitting on a bench. I didn't understand why she has been bought and when was that?

"Did you just arrive?" I asked her and she nodded.

"I was brought by a beta via specific information and instructions. I'm afraid I can't disclose anything to you. But, as the Alpha's companion. I heard the Alpha is lovely and handsome, a caring man he is."

She asked with bright eyes and I smiled sadly. That's who Teddy is. So lovely and soft. The heartthrob of every female wolf. I discarded his thought from filling my heart and wondered on why Rosie was brought. If I was mated to the Alpha, will it be so? Something is fishy.

"You know, I have always been for this purpose a companion to Alpha's but, they're all cruel. My last job was as a maid with one of the Luna's, and she was extremely wicked until I was bought off here and hearing about the alpha, makes me want to meet him. I hope to feel a real man take me outside this world in the most..."

She spoke and I coughed. Hearing her speak like that, I was becoming jealous. I didn't want anyone talking about Teddy in that manner. But, making out with Teddy is the only memory I guessed to keep with me, he isn't that bad of a man. He gives sensual kisses, sensual love making. I thought I will never be detached from him because, he made me feel complete. Speaking of him, I felt my heartache and my head began to feel dizzy, it's always like that when I think of him since after he rejected me. Maybe the mate bond is trying to break, and I'm holding on to it. I wonder how I will be able to survive seeing Teddy each day.

"Emily! You have an assignment."

I heard a voice call me from outside, and I came out. Standing before me is someone holding a mop, a bucket and a broom.

"Change into this outfit, you are instructed to clean the twelve rooms in the Alpha's quarter. Kindly start from the Alpha's room since he is away at the moment. After which, report back to me. I'm May your senior."

She rudely spoke, dropping the things there and walked away. I looked farther and could see Becky at a distance, giving instructions. I hissed and changed into the green gown. It was too shady for my liking but, I wore it anyway. I couldn't believe that some day, I will be in these outfits. I took the bucket and the rest of things and proceeded to where I was appointed on entering, I bumped into someone, who looked at me fiercely.
