Chapter 4 Wrong Escape

"Who are you?" The person asked and Orchid sighed gratefully. She really hoped it was not Marino and gladly it wasn't.

She breathed out slowly and composed herself.

"I'm running an errand for the master." She smiled.

"Boss?" He asked and Orchid nodded.

"He never sends women on an errand outside the manor. Are you trying to escape?" He asked as he looked at the rope hanging down from the window.

She was afraid to reply as she stared at him, hoping he would not draw attention.

"Can you pretend like you didn't see me?" She begged afraid that if he even helps her, he would also be in trouble.

"Just leave, I was also looking for a way to escape, maybe we could try together." He said. She had no time to think as she accepted his offer. They sneaked to the front of the house and luckily no guards were around.

"Wait!" The guy suddenly said.

"What is wrong? We have to leave." She urged. They had no time to escape.

"Are you stupid? There are no guards around." He said.

"And how is that a problem?" Orchid muttered.

"This is a trap. I shouldn't have come out....I shouldn't have...

A bullet in his chest ended his murmuring and the blood splashed on her already bloody face as she gasped. It hit her, the plan was all for her. They knew she would escape and she had dragged this boy into her mess by agreeing to go with him. They wouldn't have found him if she had not followed him.

She gasped repeatedly as she fell down, touching the boy's body.

"Hey, wake up....wake up. Plss...." She cried. She didn't even know his name, he had wanted to go with her and now this had happened to him.

"Pls wake up, you can't die. You have to live, I have to see you.....somebody...help!" She cried louder, looking around. The guards were back to their position but no body came near her. They pretended not to see her.

Marino smirked as he looked at her from his window, his room was the highest in the large manor and he couldn't see everywhere just from looking at his window. How could she think of running away after his warnings? That boy was just a pawn, he had been released intentionally and told to escape. Marino knew he would try to help Orchid. She was stupid to have accepted his help when she knew he was going to die. He was going to make her feel so miserable till the end. When people died just because of her, he would feel pain than ever. She was going to have to walk in herself if she doesn't want to get hurt.

Orchid cried loudly, her tears falling on the boy's body, it sounded like music to Marino ears and he laughed funnily as he walked to his bed.

"She'll never try to to escape this place again." Hellcat laughed and he turned to look at her.

"What happened to the drug I told you to export?" He asked.

"It is in the evening, right?" She asked.

"Did maltreating Orchid destroy your memory?" He asked and she stood up quickly, rushing out. Marino sighed and stood up walking out.

Orchid stood up from the body after a while and cleaned her tears. It was obvious she nothing was going to change. That evil monster would keep on killing whoever cares to help her. There was nothing she could do, she couldn't let someone suffer for helping her, she would bear the consequences of her father's actions alone. She sniffed and turned, walking inside. No one paid any attention to her as she left and after she went in, two guards took the body.

She walked into the sitting room and almost bumped into Marino as she walked towards the stairs. She just stared at him slowly and the tears started falling again.

"Why did you have to kill him?" She asked slowly.

"You should have just pointed the gun at me instead and shot. Why did you have to kill that innocent child!! Tell me!!" She screamed as she cried bitterly.

"Didn't I tell you? I'll kill anyone that tries to help you, I'll get rid of anyone that shows you mercy. And trying to escape? I'll find you till the ends of the earth. I'll go any length to destroy you, Orchid." He warned and left her, walking away.

The words of reply stuck in her throat and she couldn't do anything but just looked at him as he left. He was a devil, he was a monster. He was nothing but the true definition of evil. How could he?

She looked up and cleaned her eyes slowly before climbing the stairs. She looked at the long hall and she got confused at the door to her room. She had kept her eyes down last night when she passed and she had also been transferred to another room this morning. She sighed as she tried to align which side of the house she had dropped her rope.

She chooses correctly as she sighed and entered her room. She was shocked to see different clothes on her bed. Luxurious clothing and expensive materials. Why was he giving her such clothes when he hates her?

"I need you to be attractive if I'm going to fvck you, isn't it?" He asked from the door and she gasped. She had no idea when he got there.

"Have your bath and come down for breakfast. Bloodshed isn't enough to fill your belly, is it?" He scoffed and left. Orchid blinked thrice as she looked at him walk away. Why was he saying he was going to sleep her every now and then...he wasn't going to do that. You can't sleep with a girl you hate so much, would you? She was sure it was just a threat. Besides, no man forces a girl to have sex with him in this era. They were past those times.

She sighed and started picking the clothes one by one and folding them, they were all so short she could even bend down if she wore it. The longest one stopped just at the middle of her thighs. She sighed. She can't wear these clothes. The clothes were expensive, alright but that was the end to it. There was no bags, no shoes except for a neat flip-flop in beside the door like it she was forever going to be stuck here. She suddenly gasped as she remembered something.

When Marino had replied her the other time, she had not spoken. It happened yesterday too. Her eyes widened, could he hear her thoughts? Maybe, he'll be hearing everything she was thinking now. She tried so hard not to think but it was impossible, her mind roamed around the many possibilities. Maybe, that was how he knew she would escape. He would also know she had no intentions of wearing these clothes and was just waiting for her to disobey his order. She also had no intention of coming downstairs for breakfast. It would be so stupid if he heard her mind.

She rushed into the bathroom and gasped again at the beauty. Only if Marino was a little bit kind, even if he was a kidnapper, she would love to be kidnapped forever. She smiled as she jumped into the large jacuzzi and started having her bath.

When she was done, she brushed her hair slowly and wore the longest dress there, it was a flay dress and she tried to drag it down to no avail. It also had no sleeve and only a singlet hand was there, it also looked so thin that she felt he would see through her. Well, that was what Marino had planned.

A stupid thought ran through her mind and she chuckled. How had he known her size of bra and panties? She laughed more but quickly stopped when she remembered she didn't have the liberty to laugh or even be happy. Two people were dead because of her even though she knew she didn't matter. She maintained a neutral face as she stared at the full mirror which was at a whole side of the room. She saw the bruises on lips as she hit the wall this morning and had sustained injuries.

A knock came on her door and she opened it quickly. She saw a maid in a blue uniform looking at her.

"The boss asked you to come downstairs before him if you still love your life. He also said you should try not to think often." She said and quickly left like she didn't want to spend anymore time with Orchid. Orchid wasn't blaming her though, every one should try to keep themselves safe. So he really hears thoughts? She couldn't believe that until she confirms it but how would she do that? She should keep to her lane, that was the rule.

She quickly wore her flip-flops and rushed out of the room, she still loves her life though she finds it meaningless now.

She rushed down the stairs almost the same time Marino came down. She gasped, she was supposed to get to the table before him. She tried running down but her legs slipped and she fell down instead.
