Chapter 6 Shortie

<<> RAJAWAT'S MANSION>>

In one of the numerous rooms was a girl, who was standing by the window as she stared continuously at the Moon.

She was absolutely in deep thought as she kept on heaving a sigh at intervals.

The door suddenly opened, and another girl came in. She's probably of the same age as the one by the window.

She closed the door and stood right there, staring at the girl who seemed not to notice her presence.

Few seconds later, she walked up to her and placed her hand on her shoulder. The girl was a bit startled but when she realized who it was, she let out a sigh of relief.

"You're at it again Mahi." The second girl said, and Mahi sighed heavily.

"I told you to stop brooding already. You've been all moody since yesterday... please stop it. I guess he's busy and he'll surely call you when he's less busy. You know my pumpkin can never cheat on you, so why worrying your gentle mind??"

"But Shivi-"

"No but Mahi, come here." Shivi interrupted her and pulled her to the bed.

"Sit down." She said and Mahi sat down gently, then Shivi also sat beside her.

"You trust him a lot, don't you??" She asked as they both are looking at each other straight in the eye.

Mahi nodded slowly, and Shivi smiled.

"Why then are you doubting his love for you?? You know how pumpkin is. He doesn't like distractions when he's busy, and I guess he's busy, so cool your temper... everyone knows how much he loves you, and his love for you will never change. He loves you a lot, and he'll never ever stop loving you, I assure you that." Shivi said, and Mahi pouted.

"But I miss him... I miss him a lot. I miss everything about him. His voice, his romantic texts, his smile, his scent... just everything. So tell me how I'm supposed to stop thinking about him when I miss him that much??" Mahi said as tears gathered in her eyes.

Shivi smiled and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm glad you love my brother so much. He's so lucky to have you because you're the sweetest girl ever. Just stop brooding okay?? You know it's dangerous for your health, and It won't be nice if he comes back and meet you in a bad state, so please Mahi, cheer up." Shivi said as she stroked her hair.

Mahi nodded with a sniff. She's crying silently.

7PM**

Violet has been waiting for Jae-kyung's arrival since she got a call from her that she's on her way already.

She couldn't contain the happiness and anxiety in her as she kept on staring at the hot rameon in front of her.

She actually cooked the rameon all by herself, and was actually waiting for Jae-kyung's comment over it.

She checked the time and it's almost eight. Her stomach rumbled and she placed her hand on it.

"What's taking her so long??" She groaned as she stared at the rameon.

It'll get soggy anytime soon, and Jae-kyung is yet to be back.

"Can I wait any longer??" She asked herself as she took in her lower lip.

She checked the time again and it's already eight. She grabbed the chopsticks and made to dig into the food when the doorbell rang, and she quickly drop it and rushed to open the door.

She was smiling happily as she opened the door, but the smile slowly vanished when she saw Ju-kyung by the doorstep.

Thanks to her intelligence, she was able to tell them apart since Jae-kyung showed her the difference between them.

Ju-kyung raised a brow and Violet moved out of the way for her to enter. She stepped in and without saying a word, she headed straight to her room.

Violet sighed heavily and she closed the door. She was already walking back to the sitting room when the doorbell rang again.

She rushed back and opened the door with a full smile on her face, assuring herself that it's Jae-kyung.

But hęll no, she was wrong!

The smile immediately vanished as her gaze fell on Soo-oh.

"Why were you smiling like a weirdo?? Are you expecting someone??" Soo-oh asked with a smirk, and Violet lowered her gaze sadly.

She left the door open and walked back to the sitting room.

Soo-oh scoffed as he stepped inside and closed the door behind. He stopped halfway and took a quick look at Violet before walking to Ju-kyung's room.

Violet heaved a sigh as she checked the time for the umpteenth time.

She wanted to call Jae-kyung but of what use is it now that Ju-kyung is back??

She concluded that she has no choice other than to eat the rameon alone. She dug the chopsticks into the food and slowly opened her mouth.

Just as it reached the tip of her lips, the door opened and Jae-kyung entered. She was carrying a bag that contains cooked food from the cafeteria.

Violet dropped the chopsticks slowly as she stared sadly at Jae-kyung.

"Don't tell me you're already eating?? Without me??" Jae-kyung asked as she walked towards Violet.

That moment, Ju-kyung came out of her room with Soo-oh.

"Oh Jaekyung-ah..." Ju-kyung pouted, as she walked closer to Jae-kyung.

"How did you know that I haven't eaten dinner??... I love you." She asked and collected the bag from Jae-kyung.

She brought out a package and gave the second one to Jae-kyung who was looking like a dummy.

She actually got the food for herself and Violet, now it's all twisted.

She stared at Violet and she noticed how sad she is feeling. She won't deny the fact that she's just as sad as Violet.

"Sit down and let's eat." Ju-kyung said to Soo-oh and they both sat down together.

"You too Jae. Sit down and eat before it gets cold." Ju-kyung said, and like that, Jae-kyung took a seat opposite Violet.

"Let's watch some movies." Jae-kyung said as she quickly grab the remote.

She felt that it's the only way to help Violet to cheer up, but no.

Violet stood up and headed to her room. Jae-kyung felt really bad as she stared at her till she was completely out of sight.

She returned her gaze to the rameon Violet made.

'Did she cook this??' She asked herself and all her mind could say is 'yes have a taste.'

She felt the urge to have a taste truly but Ju-kyung's presence is making everything difficult for her.

She slowly opened the package and started eating. More like picking on it.

Violet didn't get the chance to talk to Jae-kyung because Ju-kyung is still around.

There was no lecture for the time being, but she doesn't want to stay a little longer in the apartment, so she decided to go out.

She came out of her room, wearing a black and white joggers and hood. She passed by the sitting room where the twins were having their morning coffee.

Jae-kyung looked at her but she didn't even spare her a glance till she stepped out of the apartment.

"Gøsh!" Jae-kyung muttered.

"Huh?" Ju-kyung asked as she looked at her.

"Nothing." Jae-kyung replied as she faked a smile. Ju-kyung nodded her head and resumed sipping her coffee as she operate her phone.

Violet was walking down the road as she dipped her hands in the front pockets of the hood.

Guess the cold was too much for her to handle.

She heard some girls laughing and she looked at them. They were watching a video and the way their laughter sounded made her smile.

'What kind of laugh is that??' She asked herself as she kept her gaze on them, still walking tho.

Since she wasn't focusing on where she's going, she bumped into a guy.

"Focus on where you're going, shortie." The guy said and walked past her.

'What?! Shortie?? Me??' Violet yelled in her head as folded her fists.

She turned to see the guy walking away in haste, and that triggered her to go after him.

She hates been called shortie and he just called her that, now she must show him what a shortie is capable of.
