Chapter 3 ||R&D Hospital||

Axton was sitted on one of the chairs on the waiting lobby drenched with sweat and his usual cold look as many thoughts ran through his head. The aura he emanated at that moment was deadly. "Why did Vanessa come back?" "Why did Valerie black out after shooting Vanessa?" " Mateo and Vanessa working together? How?"He continued thinking, running his hands through his hair further roughing it up. He was still in his deep thought when he heard giggles which bought him back to reality. The nurses who were passing by weren't ashamed of passing compliments at him openly and cheaply.

They were literally drooling. "Gosh, so this is what Axton Giovanni looks like in real life"" He looks way better than he does in the magazines"" He sure is a god from an unknown planet or something. His cold looks make him even hotter"" Fuck! I bet his dick is long and... "Axton was sure used to hearing such from the ladies; both complimentary and disgusting ones. Only a glare from him shut them up instantly and they scrambled off in embarrassment. He hissed. "Shameless women, " He muttered in disgust when he remembered the only woman who drives him crazy; Valerie's smile popped up in his head like an image."Everything about her is just so perfect. She's different from the other species of her gender. I'm definitely in love, " He smiled briefly and sighed. Just then, two nurses, one on each end, pushed a stretcher quickly past him. He couldn't see the patient on the stretcher's face, but he was sure it was Valerie because they came out of the ER she was in. "What's going on?" He grabbed the doctor's collar as if to choke him with red eyes."What is wrong with Valerie? Why was she moved to another room in such haste?" Axton gritted pronouncing each word resoundingly."Mr Giovanni... She's fine... Please," The doctor stuttered as he was having difficulty breathing.Within the split blink of an eye, Axton's eyes turned back to normal and his hands slowly retreated from the doctor's collar. The doctor just breathed out and relief and touched his already red neck in a soothing form. He was so scared already because he thought Axton was going to kill him; he had heard of the almighty master Giovanni. Axton felt embarrassed but still didn't want to apologise as it wasn't a part of his personality to."Hm... How is she now? Can I see her?""Mr Giovanni she'll wake up in the next three hours. Rest assured she is fine for now sir. She just needs adequate rest and care... You can go see her in the next three hours, " The doctor replied." What do you mean by she is fine for now? What really happened to her? Why did she go unconscious that way?" Axton kept asking with furrowed brows." Well... Her brain reacted that way due to experiencing something she had once experienced in the past. It was like a replay of events, " The doctor explained using his hands.He further explained: " It seems like fragments of her past memories more like childhood memories were taken out so whatever she saw today triggered a rush of those deleted scenes in her head. Her brain couldn't cope with the force and so it had to shut down temporarily. She has infantile also known as childhood amnesia which was drug induced sir. If this continues happening, I'm afraid she might slip into a coma permanently or lose her memory, " The doctor explained.All through the explanation, Axton's eyes were as wide as saucers and a lone tear fell off his right eye."No! No! " He kept chanting with low grunts as he held his head like he was in pain moving in circles.The doctor knew he was in a foul mood and not wanting to further upset him, he left. Axton staggered and fell back on a chair behind him."What happened to her in the past? She shot Vanessa and passed out... Did something like that happen in the past? " He kept trying to figure the whole thing out." All this is my fault"Just then, Dawson rushed into the lobby. When be came in, he saw Axton sitting with his head faced down."Mr Giovanni?" He called out.Axton looked up and when Dawson saw the state in which he was in, he gasped and his hand flew to his mouth. "Mr Giovanni are you okay? What happened to my sister?" Dawson asked anxiously since this was the first time he saw the CEO in this broken state.Axton just stood up and pulled Dawson to a hug."I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm really sorry... She got involved in all this because of me, " He kept repeating.Dawson's eyes widened." Was the CEO crying? Why was he apologizing? Wait... Did Axton Giovanni just say sorry? To who? Him?, " He thought.Axton pulled away from the hug and narrated everything that happened to him."Oh God... The news of what happened in the warehouse went viral on social media within few hours. Alonso called and told me the name of the hospital you took my sister to. I had a hard time convincing dad to stay at home because he was damn worried, " Dawson said.Axton also told him about what the doctor said concerning Valerie's state of health." We never knew of that... I mean she was never diagnosed of such acute amnesia although she frequently has nightmares about things and past scenes she can't even decipher or remember happening. My sister will be fine though. She is a fighter, " Dawson smiled.Axton smiled as well. He liked Dawson's personality mostly because he could see his younger self in him. He has always been a supportive brother to Valerie from what he has seen and is very optimistic even though he (Axton) knows that Dawson must be very worried inside but is quite good at masking his real emotions with a smile. Axton just patted his back."She will wake up in three hours will also be discharged. Can you go get her clothes? I'll stay back and complete the formalities and also get her some food, " Axton said." Okay sir... Thank you very much for taking care of my sister Mr Giovanni, " Dawson showed genuine gratitude." The door opened, revealing Axton holding a bouquet of flowers and bar of chocolates in his other hand. He started smiling foolishly when he saw she was awake. He kept the items in his possession on a stand nearby and sat on a stool beside her."Valerie... My love you're awake now," He said as he patted her hair gently whilst holding her hand.
