They think that they are better than the wolves who work here and so they expected the wolves to act like it.
Clarabelle really wanted the job and so even this really pissed her off, she did not dare to say anything. She just went along with whatever it is that was asked of her.
"Who are you?" Someone asked.
Clarabelle raised her eyes to look at the person who asked the question but then she quickly lowered her eyes.
"I am Clarabelle. I am the one who will be serving you today!" She said.
She finally got up a bit of courage to look around the room. It was a mixture of both old and young wolves. And everyone one of them had a she-wolf as a partner.
The wolves were touching the she wolves inappropriately but no one seemed to mind it at all. They seemed as if they were already used to the scene and as if they were even enjoying it.
Clarabelle forced herself not to show any emotions on her face. She didn't want to be targeted by these people at all.
One of them took notice of her. He waved his hand at her. "Oh come over here and give us the drinks ...what did you say your name was again?" He asked.
"Clarabelle" she repeated.
"Well, Clarabelle, come over here and pour us the drinks!" She said.
She walked into their middle and started to serve the drinks to them. She noticed the men were leering at her. She tried to act as if it was fine but she could not do that. She was so uncomfortable that she wanted to throw up. But she managed to hold it back.
One of the men grabbed hold of her hand but she immediately drew her hand away from his. He laughed out as if it was some kind of sport for him.
Clarabelle truly regretted believing Jenna's words. She should have known that her promises could not be trusted.
She was probably the only new girl that she could boss around here and that is why she was sent in here.
Just then, the door was pushed open and someone walked in
Clarabelle looked over at the wolf who had just entered. Her mouth dropped open when she saw him. Clarabelle thought that she had never seen another wolf who looked as good as him.
He had a cold and unapproachable look on his face. Even though he was in the room with all of the other lecherous wolves right now, he looked nothing like them.
He looked like a god who was among poor mortals.
"Your Highness! You finally made it here! We thought that you weren't going to come after all! Come over here! We already kept a seat for you!" One of the older wolves said.
Your.....Your Highness? Then does this mean that this wolf is the Alpha of the pack that Jenna was talking about?!
Because Clarabelle was one of the poorest she wolves in the pack, she had never seen the Alpha before. This is the first time that she's seen him.
She had heard some she wolves whisper about how good-looking he was and she used to think that they were just overreacting. But now that she can see him for herself, she can tell that they aren't overreacting at all.
He is very good-looking. In fact, none of the things that those she-wolves said did justice to his looks at all.
Clarabelle suddenly felt subconscious. She felt like the Alpha was looking at her. True enough, as soon as she raised her eyes to meet him, she saw that he was indeed looking at her.
Her heart beat fast against her chest as she did her best to avoid his eyes. He didn't know that she had been thinking about just how good-looking he was just now right?!.
The Alpha walked over to the chair that was kept from him.
He looked pointedly at Clarabelle. He did not hide the interest in his eyes at all.
"Who is this?" He asked.
"Ah, this is Clarabelle. She is the waitress that is serving us tonight. Hey! What are you waiting for?! Come over here and serve the Alpha!" Clarabelle was yelled at.
She immediately got to work and started to do as she was told. She served the Alpha while doing her best to avoid his looks.
"Don't you drink?" He suddenly asked her.
Clarabelle raised her eyes to meet his. Immediately their eyes met each other, Clarabelle felt like she was sinking into the oblivion that is the alpha. She could not look away from him no matter how hard she tried.
She felt as if there was a magnet in his eyes that kept her bound to him.
"Of course. Who do you think I was talking to before?" He asked her with some irritation in his voice.
"Ah...I am just the waitress. I don't drink. I don't know how to drink!" She said.
The Alpha laughed at that. Clarabelle felt as if it was a mocking laugher directed at her but she could not find it in herself to be mad for that because his laugher was just so beautiful.
Somehow, somewhere deep down in her heart, Clarabelle knew that she was screwed for good. She won't be able to escape this wolf at all. She just got herself into a big mess by being here.
