Chapter 5 5

I feel nervous and my hands are sweating, I don't know what to do or how to react. Since the boss left the company and Newman arrived with his attractive smile and domineering look, I have felt out of my comfort zone and at the same time in my comfort zone.

Men like him are not usually nice.

"Is the boss in the office? I've been looking for him for hours, but I can't find him, I need him to give me some papers to see if everything has gone smoothly this week."

"I..."

"Speak quickly, dammit!" Adrik is upset, I've never seen him as upset as he is now, I feel small next to him when he yells at me and I remember everything I had to go through before. He keeps waiting for my answer until I react and stammer a bit before I give him the answer he's looking for.

"If he is, he can come in, in fact, he has asked me to go and fetch him."

"And what were you doing, Melanie? Do your job properly or I'll have to fire you."

He storms into Newman's office and I hear them shouting at each other, I don't stay to listen to their argument as it's none of my business so I decide to leave.

Raul looks at me excitedly and waves his hands for me to come to his seat.

"Where are the forms? Where are they?"

"I left them upstairs," I say with a horrified expression, Raul looks at me shaking his head and leans back from his desk in boredom.

"I needed those forms, I was hoping you would bring them."

"I got distracted talking about what I shouldn't do wrong," I replied, remembering the scene from minutes before, Raul snorts and crosses his arms.

"I heard that the boss won't pay this month, I think he will pay next month because of all the renovations he will do and the changes the previous boss had made, I think Mr. Newman is going to change a lot of things in this place."

"Who told you that? I need to pay this month's rent, the rent lady is not going to let me live there anymore, she has given me a small deadline that I have to meet and the rent situation is getting out of hand."

"How much rent do you pay? I had no idea you paid rent, I always thought you lived with your husband."

"My husband left us bankrupt when the baby was born, he decided to leave and forget that he had a wife and a newborn baby girl. He sold the house without telling me."

"I didn't expect that, I thought you had a different life."

Sigh.

"In fact, I would like to have it."

"What do you say we go to the bar later?"

"I have to look after the child, the nanny is about to quit and I should concentrate on the things that are affecting my life at the moment."

"Melanie, you should relax more, enjoy life more."

"Who will look after the child?"

"I'll tell someone else to do it for us, while we can go and enjoy life and be young again."

"All right, I don't think it's such a bad idea."

In fact, I wanted to give myself the luxury of having a life again, I was so tired of having the same old monotonous life that I felt that if I continued to be like this I would end up getting sick. The life of a single mother is not as simple as it seems, I wish my ex-husband would show up right now and want to pay back all the money he stole from me.

I say goodbye to Raul to go and do my other activities for the day, I listen to some conversations of the employees and I am paralysed when I hear the opinions that most of them have about Newman, I understand that they don't like him very much, but they should be grateful because he was the man who freed us from our previous boss.

My phone rings and I pull it out to see who it is.

-Melanie the baby is crying, I don't know what to do," says the lady who looks after her. I have bathed her, fed her and checked her nappy, but everything seems to be all right, I don't understand why she won't stop crying, but I think she has a slight fever.

"All right, don't worry, I'll take care of her."

"Will you come now? I am desperate."

"I'll try, I'm working and the bosses are new, I don't have the freedom to leave when I want, but I'll do my best to escape from work, if necessary I'll ask Raul for help."

"Perfect, just hurry up," she says and ends the call, even though I was planning to tell her something else, she leaves me with the word in my mouth, I close my eyes trying to calm down and walk back to my boss's office, knock gently on the door and as I don't get an answer I open it.

On another occasion I wouldn't have taken such a bold step, but it's my daughter and I'm worried, I can't let anything bad happen to my little girl, I don't know how serious it is or if the nanny has been exaggerating to get rid of her, but when I open the door I totally regret it.

Newman is with a woman fucking on the desk, he is on his back with his member inside her, the woman clings to the desk and seems not to have heard the door because he keeps moving, his movements are sudden and I do not know what to do until the book I have in my hands slips and falls to the floor making the roar sound throughout the room.

They both stop and Newman looks at me with enlarged eyes.

Why did I open the door?

Why is my boss standing instead of getting dressed?

I shouldn't have opened it, but my eyes drop down to his cock and I stare at it for a few seconds.
