Chapter 2 2 - Aiden

I stood there, staring at the small girl in front of me. When she started going for my face again, I quickly grabbed a hold of her hands and moved them away, letting out a sigh. "Vampire magician, hybrid. Not necessarily in that order but that's what I am."

If i knew anything it was that things were going to get very annoying very quickly with the direction that this conversation was already starting to go. She was to much energy and excitement even for me. If she even remotely made a negative remark about my being a hybrid, I was probably going to snap at her. It was a shame of a thought too because she was cute... looks wise. So i didn't exactly want that outcome.

"No dragon blood, demon blood, or what else did you mention? Shape shifter or fey." I then pulled my phone out to text Satan telling him to hurry the fuck up. I didn't want stuck here any longer than I had to be and as it was she was already pushing my limit.

In response to my text though, I got a quick 'fuck you' gif. Rolling my eyes at that response, I shoved my phone back into my pocket with a sigh. Looking back at the girl, I blinked slowly as I took her in. "You're... still here?"

"And you're still being mean." She rolled her eyes, staring blankly at me.

There seemed to be a moment of time where she was silent before I watched her eyes comically grow bigger. "A vampire?" Reaching up towards my face, before I could stop her, she lifted my lip some. "Do you have fangs? I wanna see them! Do you have magic, too? It sounds like so much more fun than being a wolf!"

She started to rock herself back and forth in her excitement. She grinned brightly at me, tilting her head.

"Way less scary than people make you guys out to be, totally as grouchy though." She nodded sternly.

Good gods, she was annoying. Again, I reached for her hand and moved it from my face. That was not sanitary at all. I sighed heavily and just stared at her for a minute.

"If I show you my fangs will you stop poking around on my face?" She was acting like we were at a petting zoo and I was an animal she'd never seen before. I suddenly felt bad for all the animals at every petting zoo, hell at any Zoo period. This was horrible.

"Yes, I have magic. Most magicians do." I paused then added, "You have to stop poking my face though and I'll show you both."

It was like this girl had the mentality of a five year old. I ignored the comment about me being grouchy because I wasn't. I'm pretty sure anyone would have the same reaction as I did if they were approached by a random stranger and asked 'What are you?' Then proceeded to poke you in different areas of your face.

I watched as she immediately dropped her hands and then grabbed at her wrist almost as if she were embarrassed or something. "Oh, yes, sorry. I get excited sometimes and..." Her voice began to slowly trail off some and she then shook her head, sending her head of black curls flying. Looking up at me she grinned. "Anyway, sorry, I just have never met anyone outside of wolves and well... Satan." She started to bounce on her feet, tilting her head some as she spoke to me.

"Do you have to drink blood or is it different with you being half Magician?" She blinked at me, curiosity coating her words. "I know with like... what Alexion said once about one of his employees uh, I think his names Isiah? He had to drink blood to heal but those circumstances may be different cause he's also part god..."

"I'll stop poking you though, promise."

"Uh I have to drink blood every month. I can go a bit longer if I have to but probably not safe to do that. " I peeled open my mouth and let my fangs extend a little bit so she could see them. I held my mouth open for a few minutes before pulling them back.

"Fangs." I said.

I began to rub at my chin slowly, trying to think of something that I could do for her with my magic. I wasn't a fucking human magician but this would have to work in the end to begin with at all. Reaching behind her ear, I pulled out a nickel from there and showed it to her, smiling brightly in response to it.

"Magic." I smirked at her. "Satisfied." Sure it was a basic human magic trick but the difference when I did it was that I didn't have any nickels hiding in my sleeve. I literally pulled it from thin air or well, someone's wallet. They'd probably be missing a nickel right about now.

"Ah so you won't be seducing any girls in the pack to get your nightly fill huh? Good to know." She began to tease me, before I could even acknowledge it, she was clearing her throat and drawing me back in to her all over again. She seemed so incredibly focused on what I do.

I kept an eye on her, but I would've been lying if I said that I wasn't entirely engrossed in what was happening to right now. I couldn't help but reach up and slightly poke them, jumping back in response to the feeling of the teeth after I had bought them. "Does it hurt?" She asked looking up at me. "Them extending like that?"

That was not a question I expected to be getting right now but it wasn't a bad one either. The minute I felt his hand on my ear I jumped and started staring straight at him. It was so strange as it was that there was anyone around anywhere. When I felt the feeling of Wes's moment they collected the check they out. "Woah!" She instinctively put a hand up against my ear in reaction, still looking at the nickel. "That's so cool..."

She looked straight at me, grinning still from ear to ear. I wasn't sure what he wanted from me but I already didn't really care for it to stop. The grin that was mixed in with her blank expression was like six years ago now. "That's really cool that you can do all that!"

It was cool wasn't it? I didn't know how to else to word it at all. It was pretty cool to me but at the same time it was such a natural part of my life and form that I never truly put too much thought into it at any given time. It was on one hand cute to see someone like and care for it so much now though. She was definitely... something else though.
