Chapter 3 Part 3

Lily continued to cry under the shower's water. She felt disgusted with her own body, dirty and sinful. And she had been there for over three hours since Erlan had dropped her off.

Lily felt trapped in a wave of emotions that washed over her after everything had happened. In desperation and confusion, she continued to cry under the shower water.

Disgust for herself, feeling dirty and sinful, weighed heavily on her heart. Lily reflected on the tragic events that had changed her life in such a short period. Three hours had passed since Erlan drove her home, but Lily was still in an elusive emotional crisis.

Making the wrong decision, Lily wanted to end her life by cutting the arteries in her wrists with the shards of the mirror she had deliberately broken.

Shortly after, one of the workers who came to clean Lily's room heard running water from the bathroom. He went to investigate, and it was his surprise to see Lily in an unconscious state, with blood flowing directly from the severed vein.

"Help! Help, help Miss Lily, help!" He shouted as he ran down the stairs towards the woman supervising the domestic workers.

"What's wrong, Miss Lily?" Anna asked-the woman who was the head of the service department at Lily's parents' house.

"Miss Lily! Miss Lily committed suicide!"

"What? What do you mean, stop talking nonsense!"

"No, Mrs Anna, I'm serious."

While Lily lay limp on the room floor, Anna quickly grabbed her mobile phone to call the emergency number.

"I need help immediately! There's a girl here injured. Her address is [home address]! Please, send an ambulance as soon as possible!" said Anna frantically.

While waiting for help, Anna tried to stay calm and checked Lily's condition.

"Miss Lily, please hold on!" Anna whispered while trying to check her vital signs. While waiting for the ambulance, she attempted to administer first aid as far as she knew.

When the ambulance arrived, the medics immediately took charge of the situation and brought Lily to the hospital.

Anna followed to the hospital together with the domestic workers. They sat in the waiting room with worried faces, praying that Lily would recover soon.

Meanwhile, Lily's family, who were far away from home, immediately informed Anna.

"Suicide? Watch your language, Anna. how could Lily do such a stupid thing?" Renata was furious when Anna told her about her daughter's condition.

"I'm sorry, Mum, I'm sorry. But I am at the hospital now and Miss Lily is under the Doctor's care." Anna assured her mistress.

"We'll be there now." Said Gabriel, Lily's father, who had overheard his wife Renata's conversation with Anna.

Renata and her husband rushed to the hospital.

"Anna, how is she?" asked Renata when they arrived at the hospital.

"Still under the doctor's care, sir, ma'am," Anna replied.

"Oh my God, how is this, pah? Renata was in a panic.

"Anna, what exactly happened?"

"I don't know, sir, ma'am. Miss Lily was found unconscious in the bathroom."

"Didn't you see her? Then what did you do? How could you not see what my daughter was doing? Didn't you look after her while we were away?"

Anna could only remain silent at Renata's words.

"Mum, you can't just blame your maid. parental attention is also very important." Said the Doctor treating Lily, who was also there.

"The Doctor is right, we didn't pay enough attention to our daughter's condition. We don't know what happened to her out there. Maybe she is under pressure and her mental state is broken." Jawa Gabriel, responding to the Doctor's question.

Renata was silent and could only cry over what had happened. All that remained was regret.

"He's our only child. I don't want anything bad to happen to our child."

Gabriel hugged Renata gently and tried to calm her down.

Anna felt sad to see the family's situation in the heavy silence. She stood aside but dared not say anything because of the sensitive case.

The Doctor continued, "We will do everything we can to help Miss Lily recover, both physically and mentally. But it needs the family's attention and support too. Right now, it's best to give her space and time to recover."

Renata, still crying, nodded silently. Gabriel held her close, trying to provide support in this challenging moment.

Anna finally took the initiative to say, "Madam, sir, I will try my best to help and look after Miss Lily. If there is anything I can do, please let me know."

Renata turned to Anna, her eyes still teary. "Thank you, Anna. We know this is not entirely your fault. We must all learn from this and work together to ensure Lily's safety and well-being."

In an uncertain silence, they all went back to waiting for news about Lily's condition, hoping that she could slowly recover from all the suffering she had endured.

After about 3 hours of waiting, the Doctor attending Lily came out of the emergency room.

"Doctor, how is my daughter?" Renata asked desperately.

"The patient is fine and has now been transferred to the treatment room. And for further information, I will explain to the patient's parents in my room."

Renata and Gabriel felt a little relieved to hear the good news. They immediately followed the Doctor to his room for more information about Lily's condition.

The Doctor explained the medical measures taken, the examination results, and the subsequent treatment plan. He gave a more optimistic outlook regarding Lily's recovery.

"Right now, it is best to give Miss Lily time to recover physically and emotionally. We will make sure she gets the best care here. However, support and care from the family is also very important in this healing process."

Renata cried, but her tears seemed mixed between relief and regret this time. Gabriel tried to calm his wife, "We will give her everything she needs to recover, both in terms of medical and family support."

The Doctor gave more information about the signs to watch for and the follow-up actions needed. After the meeting, Renata and Gabriel headed back to Lily's treatment room, strengthening their resolve to support their daughter in the long healing process.
