CHAPTER 3

~ROSELINE~

I heard distant chirping of birds and felt the soft texture of wet grass. On opening my eyes, I saw an already sleeping Pius next to me, we were still on the training ground! and it looked like a fresh morning.

I yawned as Pius opened his eyes and tiredly said "you're awake, Roseline".

My voice box felt rusty as I try to answer, making me nod instead.

"Just wait here, let me get you some water" he said and immediately got up and scurried to the kitchen's direction.

Some minutes later, I saw him coming over with a plate of food and a jar of water. He squatted next to me placing the food on the ground, he then helped me to sit up, gave me water and I began to feel at ease, he handed me a mini bottle containing a yellowish-fluid which he just brought from his side-pocket.

"It's the warriors serum, it's what we take to strengthen our wolf when going to war, you really need it after that stress you went through yesterday" he persuaded me to have it and I do, and on taking it, I felt a huge surge of strength in me, then hunger.

I began to immediately eat the meal before me as Pius watched me in amusement. I finally finished eat and taking the water jar from before, I gulped all the water in it.

"What just happened to me?" I asked Pius.

"Well, since you've given your wolf strength, don't you think your physical body needs strength too?, that's the only downside of the serum, you immediately eat everything in sight" he explained to me.

"Thank you very much, Pius" I said to him, for how nice he has been to me ever since I've been here.

"What are friends for?, Let's drop you off at your room" He said with a smile, then squatted and motioned to me to get on his back and I do.

"Seems your wolf took away your little stubborn spirit because the Roseline I know would never let me carry her" he said.

"So, what happened when I passed out? I asked Pius.

"Alpha kept trying to wake you up in more like a desperate way, we were even all surprised because he never actually showed concern to anyone, I guess you must be really important to him" he replied and I laughed knowing how ironic that is.

I stopped laughing and began wondering why the lycan king actually brought me here, I mean I've seen their ladies, so it's definitely not because of beauty, also there are other omegas even in the Lycan kingdom, I try to find a special reason attached to me but I couldn't find any.

We were half-way to the servant quarters when I spoke up again "so why do you think the Alpha was like that?".

"To be honest with you, I have no idea, but I also want to know why" he said.

"Why do you take me as a friend?" I asked out of the blue and he stilled for a mini second, but continued walking anyways.

"I've always known you'll ask me that one-day probably because I'm a warrior, anyways, you strongly remind of my baby sister, don't get me wrong, coupled with the fact that I like you for who you are, the first time I saw you, it looks as though your soul called out to mine, just the same way my sister's usually does, it's just sad she's late now, she was an omega too by the way, and I don't take you as a friend but as a sister."

He gently let me down as I tried straightening my rough clothes.

"Go wash up, you can meet me at the war center, that's where we'll be training today as the Alpha ordered us not to train at the usual center today" he said before leaving me to wonder if it was because of me.

I head to my room and as soon as I got in, I pulled off my clothes, and went to the adjoined bathroom where I began to shower when I felt her, my wolf.

"Hi" she said, stirring in my body.

"Hi, there too" I timidly said.

"You can call me, Mani" she softly said.

"You can call ,..."

"Oh, stop, I know you already, Roseline" she purred softly.

My bathing soap fell and as I bend to pick it, I felt the presence of someone in my room and peeping through the knob hole, I see nothing but clear air.

"I think someone's here" I muttered inwardly.

"I don't sense any danger by the way, anyways I got to rest, talk to you later Roseline" Mani said as I felt her vanish from my mind.

I continued bathing and on stepping out of the bathroom, I saw a gift wrapped placed on my night stand.

I moved over to it out of curiosity, thinking of who will send me a gift, as I was seconds away from touching it.

"I hope you like it" came the deep voice which made me instantly drop it to the floor.

"Oh dear, that's some really expensive stuff" I felt his presence over my shoulder before hearing him, the Lycan king.

I held my towel tightly as I faced him bowing as a sign of respect before speaking "Good morning, Alpha".

"Don't be too formal with me dear, you can call me Darius" he said and I couldn't almost believe my ears, if he actually said what I heard.

"Okay sir" I said.

"Look at me, Roseline" he demanded, that's when I properly take a look at the Lycan king, he's quite worth the looks, with a sharp jawline and...

"I hope you know I can hear your thoughts" he said chuckling while making himself comfortable on my bed. I'm still transfixed on my spot with a tsunami of emotions going through my mind, I don't even know what to think or do at the moment.

"This bed doesn't feel nice, I'll ask them to change it for you" he said, standing up probably from the discomfort from my bed's hard texture.

"Thank you sir" I said and he raised his eyebrows as if to say "really?"

"Sorry, I mean Da...Darius" I said fixing my eyes tightly to the ground. I felt his eyes intently on me as I began to shiver for the fear of this man, his presence alone is terrific, according to what I've seen him do in a short while I've been here, he can kill me right here and no one will know a thing about it.

"Don't be so afraid" he said calmly and moved closer to place an hand on my shoulder which instantly made me loose grip on my towel, making it fall to the ground.

"Ahhhhh" I whisper-yelled as he immediately covered my mouth with his large hand.

"Don't shout, you're beautiful" he whispered to my ears and he looked down at my now-exposed body.

I started to feel cautious and try to pick my towel up when he steps on it.

"What do you want fr ..from me Sir?" I shakingly said.

"I want you, all of you Roseline" he said huskily.

"Look at me, baby" he demanded and I look at him, he instantly kissed me, pulling me close by my waist, I still as my heart began to throb at the close proximity I have with him. I had never been that close with any man before but I can sense this is going to end up badly.

"Kiss me back, will you?" He said and I began to kiss him back as Mani yelled "Mate" in my mind.

"Really?"

I get no response and I felt her vanish again.

One thing led to another and he pulled me over to the bed with his tall frame hovering over me, fondling me and touching me all over.

"I want you Roseline, I really want to feel you" he said with a deep voice which sends my privates into a frenzy.

"I don't want a one-time thing, Alpha" I said to him.

"I see you do not know the reason why I took you from the Rivers pack, you're to be my Luna Roseline" he said making me come to realization.

"Oh really?, Then why am I a maid?" I enquired.

"That is the custom here baby, as an omega, but then, when I claim you in front of everyone, no one dares order you around anymore" he affirmed, looking intently into my eyes as if he can see my soul.

My heart began to race as I began to have unholy thoughts about what I could do with this beautiful man hovering over me naked in bed.

He noticed as I clasped my thighs together and he smiled seductively "you want this, don't you?", I nodded my head in response.

"I only work on words, baby" he said as he frowned.

"I want this, Darius" I managed to say.

That was the moment I lost my virginity to the Lycan king, he's my mate afterall.
