Chapter 5 A spark in the void

Robert and Emma had finally gotten a shut eye expecting nothing to interrupt their sleep when suddenly they heard a loud shattering noise down the stairs. Ouickly they both got up from the bed simultaneously and said

"Anonymous"

The couple raced down the stairs and to their greatest surprise Anonymous was lying lifeless on the ground in a puddle of his blood as emma ran across the room to see if he was still alive she heard the click of a gun and she slowly turned to find an armed robber pointing his pistol to her head.

Robert wanted to attack but another robber came out from his hiding and put a knife to his throat forcefully making Robert stay still.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here" another robber said as he walked into the room holding a pistol in his hand. He was the leader amongst the three robbers that were in Robert's house.

"Sir, let's kill them" said the robber that was pointing a gun to Emma's head.

"No, we need them alive" replyed the leader

"Actually we only need the man so kill the lady" said the leader to the robber pointing a gun to Emma's head.

"Please, let her go, it's me you want" Robert pleaded

"Oh my, I didn't know you could beg, I thought you were though, hmmmm seems you don't remember me" the leader said sarcastically as he removed his mask.

Robert gasped as the saw the leaders face, he recognised him to be an old colleague named stan from his former job in Canada. Stan had stolen from the company and Robert being close to him knew about it and when the company found out Stan assumed it was Robert who sold him out.

Stan got attested and Robert traveled to newyork with his newly married wife thereafter. Stan broke out of prison during a riot and started searching for Robert for revenge. Stan got news that Robert was in new York so he traveled there. Stan was able to track down Robert with the aid of a secret society which wanted to kidnap Robert so they could get information about Robert's new boss.

"Kill the lady" Stan ordered

"Please, let her go, this is between the two of us" Robert pleaded

"I said kill her" Stan ordered again

"You ruined my life Robert, it's pay back time" Stan said to Robert with content in his heart.

The was cocked and the trigger was pulled, suddenly all that was seen was a bright flash of light first from anonymous' body and then it filled the whole room and the three men dropped dead and anonymous was standing right beside Robert.

"What just happened?" Robert asked surprised about how the three men had simultaneously dropped to the ground.

"I can swear he pulled the trigger, but..." Emma said but she was interrupted by anonymous.

"Umm, I was sleeping on the couch when three men broke through the window and shot me twice and the next thing I remember was waking up and it was like everything was paused and I saw a bullet heading for Emma head so I stopped it and I tried punching the men but some wired light stuff hit them from my hand instead and they......... Died" anonymous explained.

"But how...... Did you do it? We never say saw you move" asked Robert even more confused by the whole situation.

"I think we should all go back to bed, we would sought this out tomorrow" Emma said also confused but she was not ready to let anything disturb her sleep again.

The trio went to bed stunned by all that happened and relieved that they were all still alive.

The following morning started of like a déjà vu. After the alarm went off, Robert and Emma hurried down the stairs to find Anonymous lying lifeless on the ground.

"Oh God, what happend now?" Emma said as she hurried to where Anonymous was.

"Haha, I'm fine, it was just a joke" Anonymous said mockingly as he got up from the ground.

"Hey that was not funny" Robert said trying to make a serious face.

"So can we all talk about how Anonymous saved our sorry asses last night?" Emma ask changing the topic.

"Yeah Anon, how did you do it?"Robert asked.

"Ummmm first of all, anon is a really cool nick not which I'm keeping, secondly I have no idea what happened" Anonymous replyed.

"Who we those guys?" Emma asked Robert

"I only know one of them, Stan, he used to be my colleague at my ex work in Canada, but I have not seen him since he got arrested for theft" Robert explained

"So do you know why he wanted to kill is?" Anon asked

"Revenge, he thought it was my fault he went to jail, but it wasn't" Robert replyed.

"Oh well it's over now, they are dead" Emma said with relief

"Well did any of you take their bodies away?" Emma asked Robert and anon

"No I didn't" Robert answered

"Neither did I" anon answer with a look of confusion on his face.

"Oh no, they are still alive" Emma said

"Arrrgggghhhh" anon screamed holding his head.

"What's wrong?" Emma asked, now worried about anon.

"I just had a flash of my memory" anon replyed, relieved that the pain had subsided but worried about what he remembered.

"What did you see it rather remember?" Robert asked now curious about what's it was anon had remembered.

"I saw my self die" anon answered

"You saw yourself die?" Robert asked with disbelief.

"Then how are you alive?" Emma asked also not contended with what he told them.

"Well I was in a train with someone who seemed to be a friend of mine and the train went too fast and came to an abrupt stop and .....I ..." Anon replyed

"You what? Tell us what happened" Robert said to anon

"Well everyone went splat and the last thing I saw was me flying out of my sit and I blacked out" anonymous replyed.

"Oh my, we have to find out what truly happened" Emma suggested

Robert was quiet about the whole matter and after some minutes of awkward science he spoke.

"I know who....."
