Chapter 6 Chemistry

She turned around to leave , but she almost slipped. Donald rushed to her. She almost twisted her ankle. She sat on the floor and whined in pain. Donald got a first aid box and applied a reliever to her ankle. Helma looked at his brown eyes, and felt how soft his hands was against her skin. For some reasons, she missed those hands on her. She shaked her head to get rid of those thoughts. "I am sorry for troubling you sir, I promise it will not happen again" she said trying to stand up.

Donald looked at her without a word. He helped her to her feet holding her waist. Donald's hands on her waist sparked needs. He immediately had a flashback on how soft and delicate she was beneath him. She looked at her and her pouting lips made him swallow him silver. " You should go now, your room is next door. You have a big day tomorrow, get well tonight " He said slipping his hands away from her tiny waist. Helma walked to her room almost limping. She sat on the bed and repeated to herself " Helma you are here to get a better life free from debts, stay focused, you have to stay employed for at least a year" she went to bed.

Helma walked downstairs all dressed up for her first day. She wore a navy blue straight skirt and a patterned white sleeve. She walked downstairs with her hair tied up as pony tail. She smiled back immediately Mary held up her hands to her jaw and gushed at her. Donald and Clara turned to Helma's direction from the dinning table. Helma, walked shyly to the sitting room. Donald couldn't take his eyes off .Helma

Clara noticed her brother's divided attention. She frowned her face "Hey!! You are drolling over nothing" clara yelled. Donald had an apple and left with Helma for work. Mr peter smiled at Helma as he helped her get into the car. Helma smiled weakly as soon as she entered the car with Donald. She opened her mails and saw the schedules of Mr Donald.

She set a 10mins reminder to each schedule. His first meeting was with the resource management team 8am. The twenty minutes drive to the office was occupied with silence. Helma prayed silently for her first day, she kept repeating " I am well able". They got to the office, and Jane greeted them with a lovely and broad smile. Jane whispered inaudibly "you look great" with a thumbs up.

Helma tailed behind Donald softly. Immediately Donald entered his office, Helma went to the coffee maker and fixed coffee for him. She dropped his coffee beside him and sat by the couch. Donald looked up at Helma and sipped his coffee. "Your office is next door Helma, you can't seat here all day" he said going through paper work. Helma nodded and reminded him of his meeting In few minutes.

Her office was cozy. She had a bookshelf, a small couch, water dispenser, and a working table and two seats In front. She sat down and login into her working desktop. She went through the documents sent to her mail and printed them for Donald's approval. Few minutes later, she was walking behind Donald to the conference room.

Helma stood beside Donald till the thirty minutes meeting was over. She documented the decisions and final agreements in the meeting. After the meeting, Helma rushed back to her office. She sat on her couch and drank water. She haven't stood this long in a while. Immediately, someone barged into her office.

Clara. Helma stood up and stared at the young lady In front of her. She wore a yellow short flare dress and white boots. Clara removed her glasses and sat on the couch " I was told I need to fix a meeting with you, before I can see my brother" she said with mocking tone.

" He is fully booked till launch time ma'am, you can see him in four hours time" Helma said returning to her work seat. Clara looked at Helma with hate and spite. She wished she could just pull her hair. How could she give her condition before seeing her favorite family member?. Clara hissed " Your confidence disgust me, you think I really need a booking to see Donald? I only came here to see something ugly and It was such a sight " Clara said walking out of her office.

Helma inhaled immediately Clara banged the door. She knew this young woman was going to be a torn. Clara walked out of her office grumbling and mad. She barged straight to Donald's office and met Donald and Asian man having a meeting. Donald looked at Clara with no expressions. "Walk out Clara" he commanded while apologizing to his client. Clara bowed her face in shame and walked out. Clara hissed and throw her bag at Donald's door.

She knew Donald adored her, he has walked out of a board meeting to get her ice cream several times. She couldn't understand what happened today. Clara walked to elevator in tears. Her makeup was getting ruin. Clara fumed with anger in the elevator. She cursed and blamed Helma for everything. "Since her arrival, Donald has took sides with her" she yelled in the elevator.

Clara got to the reception and ran out trying to hid her ruined makeup. James saw Clara running out and went after her. Clara ran to her car and cried her eyes. James knocked at her window holding a cup of coffee and an handkerchief. Clara opened the door and hit James. He whined in pains, holding his nose. Clara immediately rushed to help him "I am sorry, I didn't mean to. Are you ok?" She asked with her teary eyes. James smiled in pain "I am much better after seeing a beauty" he said handing her an handkerchief.

"I am jay" James said extending his hand for a handshake. Clara admired the young blonde man. He had a cute dimple when he smiles. She took his hand and said "Clara". James smiled leading her to sit on a bench at the garage. "We all know you are Clara. The beauty of D.B.C groups. It is a pleasure having coffee with you". He said sipping his coffee. Clara blushed. She smiled fulfilled knowing that others still considered her more beautiful. "You are flattering me" she said playing with the straw in her coffee.
