Chapter 4 Night before the wedding

On that very same night the Richard couple escorted their precious daughter to the airport, fearing that the Anderson family might want Stacey if they discover Michelle under the veil.

They both felt like they would be more at ease once they see her boarding the plane. Stacey's mother was worried that her daughter might act stupid and not leave the country, which will ruin all the plans she had

"Mom and dad there is really no need for me to be leaving the country, the moment they discover that it is Michelle under the veil, it would be too late, they cannot stop the wedding that would be bad for their image. That family cares a lot about face". Stacey said with tears streaming down her cheeks, when she thinks about leaving her boyfriend behind she feels like dying.

Mrs Richard looked at her daughter with a painful expression and said " Stacey be good after two weeks the anger they might have towards us for substituting the bride would have subsided and we will be able to bring you back to the country. You can do whatever you want after that."

Stacey smiled, this was her fate if she does not want to marry the impotent man then she will have to listen to her parents this time around.

Her flight number was called and her parents left her when she was checking in. The moment they left, just as she was just about to get on the plane she received a call, she looked around her surroundings then exited the plane.

Mr Richard was not in a good mood, he couldn't believe that he was losing both his daughters. One had to go in hiding and the other one was getting married.

When he thought of Michelle he felt pain in his heart. He wondered if this girl would ever forgive him for the way he had been treating her. He has finally made a decision that before he walks down the aisle with his daughter. He will have to ask her for forgiveness and explain that he allowed for this marriage to protect her from his wife.

He did not want her to go but it also makes him feel sad every time he sees his wife treats her badly. It was more like Michelle has greatly angered her in her previous life. The moment she sees her, the atmosphere and the mood changes and the whole house becomes chaotic. Whoever takes Michelle's side, sleeps on an empty stomach. He was tired of that drama.

The only way for him to be at peace was if she leaves this house. He only prays that the Anderson family will treats her better than they did. Then there would be peace in this house. He could tell that the workers were also disrespectful towards his daughter just because of how his wife was treating her.

This woman is cruel to my daughter. Whenever she feels like hitting someone, it would be her. If it was not for the fact that she once threatened that if I continue to defend Michelle. Then one day she will put poison in Michelle's food so that she perishes out of her sight. She would continue to say I will make her meet her mother sooner than expected.

Those words were what made him not to be able to defend her whenever the duo mistreated her. So maybe getting her out of the house is the best way to keep her alive and safe. He kept on drinking his wine while thinking about this.

The door of the study room was a bit open, his wife was looking at him and she was very happy that he was drinking the whisky that she has put drugs in. She vowed ever since this man married that Michelle and her mother would never receive any love from this man.

This man has always been her target and if there is one thing she hated the most was that way back he did not see her as a wife material. But she was a fighter, there was no way she could let anyone get this man.

Ever since she laid her eyes on him, she knew she would make him hers. When she found out he was engaged. She was angry and tried by all means to break them up. But even after drugging him and making him sleep with her. He still sticked to his fiancée and eventually married his fiancée. He kept her as his mistress but there was no way she would allow that to happen.

For years she has been fighting to become the madame of this house, she finally got that position after she had successfully killed that stupid woman. There was no way she would allow that woman's daughter take her daughter's place.

She decided that she will drug this man so that he does not walk her down the aisle. That was an honour that only her daughter deserved. She has been observing this man and has seen how regretful he is about marrying her off but there is no way she will let him ruin her plans.

Once this girl is out of the way, then it would be very easy to start doing what I have been planning for all these years. I have been patiently waiting for a time like this and there is no way I would let anyone ruin it for me. With this girl in the picture, I will get caught easily but when she is not here no one will know of my plans until all that belongs to the Richard family is in my name. These are words that she spoke to herself as she was looking at her husband drinking.

She turned and went straight to her bedroom. She looked at the time and smiled when she thought about the fact that it was only a matter of time before the girl that she detested more than anything leaves her sight.
