Chapter 5 The marriage won't end that way

"You have changed" David smiled at what she said. "Change is yet to come. Now, what cracks his head is progress and revenge. Too bad to revenge?

Has your most beautiful wife you left your family for thrown you under the bus to kiss another man in a restaurant? The worst till her eyes were closed in a rapturous moment. Despite that she said she was in love with another man.

But he has to attend to the most important thing. To run the Atlas Corp as the CEO. He cannot afford to fail. With the three years of a horrible marriage, horrible in-laws, if he did not learn a lesson, he could be a damned fool. " But the totality of everything is," he paused. Still undecided.

The marriage that cost him his honor, that deprived him of the opportunity to pay the last respect to his parents will not just go the way it went.

He reached the office, seated, he called his secretary and someone and placed the intercom receiver back on hold.

He took a bite of a Micvites biscuit and coffee. He smiled. Why? After years of horrible marriage, after years of laundry tasks before eating, now whatever he chose to eat, he ate.

Miss Carol Nightingale, his secretary came in before Mr Paul Clifford, came in twenty minutes later.

His reason: The horde of files in the crook of his arm.

He set the pile on the huge Mahogany table between them and knowing he had wasted a few minutes went down to work.

After the plenary meeting yesterday, Atlas in the light of the new management ( new CEO) is poised for expansion. The expansion will be all-encompassing. From production to sales. There will be an overhaul of the management and other things but now, what the Chief Account, Mr Paul Clifford came for with all the files was to show the CEO the financial state of Atlas Corp.

At her 9th grade school, Selena regretted telling Laila she saw David and all the new him.

She dialed David.

David picked up her call, he was not a 'Johnny who just came' into women's affairs, their behavior. They tend to gravitate to men with money.

To him,he has the money now,the money to do anything and undo anything.

Yet,indecision had been his problem. Play a nice guy, reject this thing Laila's sister is pestering him for? Or wait, till he revenged on Laila. But how would he revenge on Laila whom he had divorced?

He clenched his teeth like one in pain and lit his cigarette.

"David. Are you not replying? Am asking if you will be at home tomorrow?"

"Yes, I will," he answered Selena.

Selena was as curvaceous as ever. A replica of her elder sister in shape.

Only God knew who carved her eyelashes. She waved her hazel eyes looking for how to jump into the residence without the security questioning her as she came down from the Uber.

What is she for? On her side, she goes for the man she wants.

Her sister just divorced David because he was thought to be a poor son-in-law.

Is it justified, an affair with her?

But to be sincere, she has never hated David. She loved him. Her grouse had been David's nonchalant attitude towards her advances.

Now, she is on another advancement, ruthless. Will it be successful or lead to insulting David again?

"I made a mistake to tell my sister I saw you."

"And?" David asked

"And what?" She stared that crazy eyes at him." I hope you have learned a lesson. Have you?"
