"Really? You really think we'll get close"
Leela couldn't believe that, first the way he dressed is totally not her way, and he called her dirty. She isn't angry at him because he did that, but she is scared he is.
"Yes my dear, you two will get close. Just like a true brother and sister" Mrs Richmond smile
"Ok, if you say so" Leela smiled.
Mrs Richmond smiled back at her and pat her hair.
"You have had a long day today, why don't you rest? I will ask the maid to call you when dinner is ready" Mrs Richmond suggested and Leela nod. She helped Leela lied on her bed, and covered her with the blanket.
She kissed her head, and left her room.
Mrs Kingsley, a woman in her thirties. Got married at the age of eighteen, the prime time of her life. She was forced by her parents to get married to her late husband. The time she was supposed to enjoy being a youth, she was already in a man's house as a woman with responsibility.
Though she has a loving and caring husband, she doesn't love him. At the age of nineteen, she got pregnant and gave birth, when she knows nothing about being a mother. She loved her son, but never shown him love because she doesn't know how, she never cared for him, because she doesn't know what it means to be a mother not until now.
She knows she has wronged him with her feelings, but now she is ready to do anything to make him forgive her, even if it will be hard.
~BRUCE ROOM~
She knocked on Bruce door,
"come in" Bruce permitted, and she did.
He was arranging his clothes, but stop when he saw his mom.
"Hello" Mrs Richmond said rubbing her hands together nervously.
"Yea" He responded coldly and continue with his clothes.
"Why don't you let the maids help you with that?" Mrs Richmond asked, looking for a way to start a conversation.
"If you know me that well, then you will know I hate people touching my things" Bruce replied.
"Oh" She mouthed.
"What will you like to eat? The maids told me you didn't take what they offered to you" Mrs Richmond asked again.
"Am not hungry, I will eat when am hungry. Am not a stranger here after all, this is my father's house" Bruce uttered flatly.
"Yea, that is right"Mrs Richmond uttered, she knew she was doing a bad job at starting a conversation with him.
"Can you just leave? You are disturbing" Bruce said, those words he didn't mean. He wants nothing than her being here, giving him some warm hugs. Asking how his life was there, he really wanted nothing than that.
"Ok, I will leave" Mrs Richmond offered while Bruce scoffed.
"You are really leaving" Bruce uttered.
"You were the one, who told me to" His mom spoke, puzzled
"Just because I did, doesn't mean I truly want you to. Are you not curious? Don't you miss me a bit? I was there for ten years, mom. Ten years, you never came nor call me. At first, I thought you were still mourning for dad but ten years. I finally figured you never cared about me, even when dad was alive" Bruce said, his cold tone soft and sad. It was like a little boy, crying for his mom attention.
"Bruce, you know it isn't like that" Mrs Richmond muttered
"Not like that, then how is it like? I was gone for ten years, but instead of you reaching out for me. You adopted a stupid girl from nowhere. If it isn't like that, then how is it like mom? How? Fucking answer me" Bruce yelled, throwing his clothes away and the flower vase beside him.
"Ah" His mom cries, especially when she saw his hand bleeding.
"Bruce, your hand" Mrs Richmond brings it to his notice.
"Just leave, stop trying to act like you really care about me, or like you are my mom. Which you never did for eighteen years of my life, just leave" Bruce said
"Please" He added, trying not to yell at her.
Mrs Richmond sniffed, and did as he wanted. It hurts her so much, seeing how much her son hates her. How much he is hurting because of her.
Bruce felt to the ground, when his mom left. He misses her so much, how could she not see how much he need her how hurt and lonely he is?
The door to his room opened "I told you to leave" Bruce said thinking it was his mom.
"You are hurt" A tiny voice said, he looked up, and his eyes met with the last person he will want to see right now.
"What do you want?" Bruce asked, back to his cold self.
"You are bleeding" She uttered and approach him. She held his hand, "does it hurt?" Leela asked.
Bruce chuckled and jerked her hand off.
"Get out of my room right now" Bruce yelled
"I can't, you are hurt. You need to be treated before it get infected" She said worried.
"Let me see" Leela tried holding her hand, but he used his hand to choke her.
"What.....are.....you.... doing...." The poor girl asked, trying to remove his hand, but he was too strong for her.
"Don't try acting nice to me, you can't fool me with your stupid act. Try this with me again, I swear I'll kill you instantly" Bruce said tightening his grip around her neck.
"Please, stop. You are hurting me" Leela pleaded.
Bruce released her and Leela felt to the ground.
"If you know what is better for you, whenever you see me you better ignore me. Next time you try this with me again" he bends to her kneel.
"You will wish to die, just know this is the beginning of hell in your life. Now, get out" Bruce ordered without hesitating, she ran out of his room.
