Chapter 4 4.

It's not just about celebrating the happiness of 'hooking up' with the person you've been dreaming of. Heartbreak must also be celebrated for women who may - in fact - be feeling lost. For today only. After that, we must rise to a better and real change.

Try to understand for a moment.

Maybe you only lost the one you love. But he lost you someone who loves with sincerity. And your love is too good not to be appreciated. So it's okay to take this step and claim heartbreak because it's necessary. A person before reaching his peak, will do everything possible to achieve his goal.

This heartbreak will teach you that you shouldn't let you and your pride go unappreciated just because he left you for dead. Especially the remaining wounds that are still attached. Giving a mark that never fades even though time keeps moving forward. It's okay-once again strengthen your heart. Everything will be fine and believe me there will be no bad things that will betray your every struggle.

This is how love works too. As long as you love with a good and true heart, there will be a good embrace for your love. The best gifts sometimes come from something that is full of tears. So, cry for a while. Consider that it can relieve your chest cavity that was narrowed. Because in this world, no one is really ready for a loss.

But, promise yourself to be you again. The happy you. The good you. The sincere you. God's promise is that after the storm passes, there will be happiness that embraces you the way you want.

And Alara began to doubt the decision she had made. Until this road, she wanted to turn around and leave her steps that were worthy of Bahtiar Gema. But the man was very selfish in Alara's eyes. Or was it only Alara who took this agreement seriously?

First, Alara had misjudged Gema. What in her mind was how dark the man's life had been in the past to have such an odd status. That turned into discomfort. She didn't know where to start. Certainly, Alara was reluctant to deal with Gema. Unfortunately, she could not. When all her belongings were out of her boarding room and Gema's strapping body blocked the door. Alara just gave up.

Secondly, Gema wasn't the only one with a bad past. Alara... much more so that the fear in her of being in a committed relationship became an endless specter. After the topic of whether or not a woman was a virgin in Gema's eyes and he answered in the affirmative, Alara's desires were shattered. There was no longer any passion for her to continue this agreement. But again, her mouth was silent.

And finally, Alara needed sleep. As Gema revealed another side of him that had been very calm and cool and untouchable. In fact, the man was chatty and eager for discussion. While Alara only responded with dehaman and scattered eyes counting the passing vehicles out there.

Now, Alara understood. One thing that people always say is that, sometimes, what we pursue is often avoided. What is tried desperately often disappoints. What is no longer sought comes back - for this Alara has not fully found the meaning. But the way the world works, which is often a joke, does knock her sanity.

In the past, the first time she saw Echo. Alara's eyes were completely enchanted by the charm of the widower man. Her head was filled with Gema's charming face. Her heartbeat was chaotic. Her face heated up for no apparent reason just because she saw Gema. Just by looking at him, there was something else centered in her to ask for more. Strange, right?

Not strange at all. Maybe it was because Alara had completely let go of her bad past. And as if she understood what Gema was going through, Alara came as an oversleeping hero. With the intention of covering up her wounds. Unfortunately, Lara is left in a quandary.

Now, knowing how Gema is, Alara regrets it. Understanding how she thinks, Alara feels that this is not the right choice that she wants to back out of. There was no choice, that's what was rung in Lara's heart. Backing out, of course, meant accepting what her parents offered. Then seeing her sister's intimacy with her husband - Alara's own ex - Lara's heart was secretly tormented. The prolonged heartbreak that had once overshadowed her life surfaced.

Uhh, I don't want to get my heart broken again. Lara was so tired of it.

"Women are so complicated!" Alara complained in a whisper. Which was clearly captured by Gema's hearing. "Trouble yourself," she continued.

Gema glanced over. All he could see were Alara's eyes closed with her lips pursed forward. From the very beginning, Gema had been wondering. What was wrong with this woman exactly. To come up to her and offer such a satanic deal. Gema is not hypocritical. He is a normal man with a single status. Moreover, the status of widower is inevitable. Sometimes, there is a little dream for Gema to feel the beauty of the household again. But his asshole attitude kicked back all his wishes.

"What makes it complicated is yourself."

"Indeed."

"If you know that, why are you complaining?"

"It has nothing to do with you."

"It does."

Alara's eyelids opened. Her breathing was rough. Grunted in displeasure at the sharp gaze that was... blank. What's wrong, anyway? Echo did not understand the contents of a woman's brain other than it was a pleasure to feel.

"Mr. Chatty."

"You want to back out?" Swiftly. Right on target. Alara stiffened and it was clear in Echo's eyes. Okay, so this was the problem. Pulling the car over, Gema's breath hitched as she sucked in air. "We can cancel that. There are no adverse consequences-"

"No! Don't." What's with this mouth? She wanted to stop, but when the opportunity came, Alara rejected it. Damn it. "I'm just tired."

"You start again." Gema continued the journey that had been delayed. The man didn't like wasting time. To him, every second was precious. "We're no longer in the office environment and even if we were, the nickname father is no longer valid."

Actually, Gema wasn't the type to let go easily. He didn't know why, but his feelings for Alara were getting stronger by the day. What started out as a cheeky 'no way' and 'never'. Now it turned into a boomerang for himself. Seriously, Lara's existence cannot be said to be trivial. That woman had influenced the depths of his soul.

"How so?" Alara protested. She just wanted to be professional and put herself in her place.

"You're diverting the conversation. There's a problem, talk. Don't just throw it out there at will. I'm not good at guessing girls' minds."

It's simple. Say what you really want to say. So that there is no dispute called misunderstanding. But often women don't want to be open-minded either. It's as if their mouths were created for another function.

"You're not a master who has to read people's minds."

"That you know. So, Lara... change the nickname or I'll disarm you right here, right now, this very second."

"You-yes! How is that perverted?"

Just found out, huh? Echo snickered inwardly. Which was quickly replaced with a shrug of indifference.

"You're more than that. Offering to sleep with me, what if it's not-"

"OK. SKIP!"

Damn it all. Women like to make easy things complicated. That's her own enemy. Damage tests for women are not canned. It comes from oneself which is difficult to control. It often turns into bad prejudices followed by uncertain fears. It's no wonder that many women feel depressed because their biggest enemy is themselves.

Alara also felt this way. A second ago her feelings were chaotic. Hearing Gema's words about the condition of a woman's virginity. While Alara has a more observant judgment about it. But Gema's challenge to 'stop' was suddenly very frightening to her ears. Her heart was squeezed, her mind was scattered. Like wanting to let go but reluctant to lose. Heart... why do you dwell. Alara wailed. If that's the case, so be it.
