Chapter 2 Nightmare

[WINFREY MANSION]

"The McCarthy family seems to be the best to collaborate with. I've talked to Taylor about it and he agreed" Mr Steven said his son whose eyes was focused on the food before him.

"Good" He replied short stabbing one of his steak with his fork.

"Her name is Chantel McCarthy, she came back just today. You should meet her" His mom Mrs Helen suggested.

"There's no need, I've done what you always wanted so I think we should just proceed with the wedding as soon as possible" Dominic said.

"You don't seem happy about it" Mr Steven raised his brow.

"I told you I have no interest in marriage, but since it's going to benefit the company and the family then I'll do it" He answered calmly.

"Are you still not over her yet?" The question came unexpected and Dominic finally looked up at him.

"Yes I am"

"Then why haven't you seen a girl since she left?" He asked.

A loud clashing metal sound as Dominic dropped his fork in annoyance.

"I'm going upstairs, it's such an hectic day. I need rest" he said walking upstairs.

Helen gave Steven a glare.

"What?" He blinked.

"You should have asked him such a question. What if he decides to change his mind about the marriage?" She asked.

"No he won't. Beside shouldn't he be over Laura already? It's been years"

"Ma... What?!" Chantel exclaimed hearing the news from her father. She is getting Married?

"Are you fucking kidding me!!" She exclaimed again as her blood raised. She knew she shouldn't have came here in the first place.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me young lady. This is beneficial for you and the family" Mr Taylor said.

"Beneficial, why do you always think you can control my life?!"

"You are my daughter and I only want the best for you.. do you Know how good this is to us?! We should be happy they gave the marriage proposal to us" Mr Taylor said trying to make some sense.

"What about my happiness. I'm not ready for marriage. Especially not with someone I know nothing about!" Chantel scoffed.

"The marriage is accepted already and the groom won't take it lightly if we decline what is already accepted"

"Why can't you tell me before taking such an offer!"

"Because I know this would be your reaction. Next week is the marriage, the Winfrey family isn't someone that takes no for an answer. You're getting married and you're going to be under a strong surveillance until that happens" He said.

"Mom?" Chantel turned to her mother who was quiet the whole time.

Katerina lips opened and and closed without a word coming out.

"Get yourself prepared" He said walking out on them.

"Chant, I and your father thought about it and like your father said Winfrey family do not take no for an answer. They are the most feared company..."

"What about me mom, what about my happiness?" She asked.

"Y..you need to understand PL..lease"

"I can't believe you!" she yelled walking out.

Laila spit back her drink and choked hearing the news.

"Marriage?!" Maltida exclaimed.

"Why marriage all of a sudden. I thought we planned never to get married and get stuck together for life?" Maltida said.

"When did we make such a promise?" Laila eyes widened.

Maltida gasped. "Don't tell me you have a boyfriend now Laila"

"I know I shouldn't have come. I prefer those Chinese food instead of this bullshit" Chantel sighed.

"Should we just run away till the wedding date expires?" Maltida asked.

"I've thought of that too but I've got six eyes watching me" Chantel said and they all looked at three hefty men having their eyes on her.

"Who are you getting married to any way?" Laila asked.

"The Winfrey oldest son"

It was Maltida turn to choke on her own drink.

"Dominic Winfrey!" She exclaimed while Laila lips parted.

"Demonic?" Chantel frowned hearing her wrong.

"No.. Do..mi..nic" Maltida called slowly.

"The most hottest billionaire in New York. Gosh girl you're so lucky" Laila said.

"Lucky my ass.. I feel like squeezing the life out of him. I heard there's a news about him being a gay, that's why he wants to get married and I'm not going to be his shield" Chantel smirked staring into space.

"You're making those face. I hope you're not thinking something crazy" Laila said.

"I'm going make him hate me and then he'll withdraw the fact that he wants me to be his wife" She muttered.

[SKY COOPERATION]

Workers in the large building was busy doing their various works. Chantel walked inside looking hot as usual. She purposely exposed part of her cleavage.

Some worker eyes couldn't keep off. One of them even stubbled on his feet.

"How may I help you miss?" A tiny voice sounded behind her.

"Where's the president office?" Chantel asked removing her shades.

"Who are you to him miss so I can inform him" She demanded politely.

"Tell him his nightmare is here" Chantel said without thinking twice.

"N..nigh..tmare?" The lady stammer.

"Hmm" Chantel nodded.

In the large office Dominic was busy working on his system when the call came in.

"Hello" he answered in his deep charming voice.

"Boss, you have a visitor, a lady"

"Does she not have a name?" His vice came out cold.

"Actually she said. She's your n.. night mare" The lady informed awkwardly as she look up at Chantel who have a sly smile.

'His nightmare?' Dominic thought for a moment before answering. "Let her in"

The lady nodded and informed Chantel about the approval and the direction to his office.

Chantel put back her shades and head towards the office.

Reaching there, she didn't even bother knocking on the door as push it with force.

Dominic head snapped towards her direction. He frowned not recognizing the lady in front of him.

She walked further into the office her eyes cold. Okay.. This guy Dominic, isn't what she expected. She won't lie, she found him attractive but that doesn't change the fact that he have no respect. Proposing to a lady he never met before.

Enzo frowned recognizing her.

"Who are you?" He asked.

'Gosh, his voice is deep. Why does he have to be handsome? This might be hard' she thought but composed herself and sat before him. Crossing her legs, she dropped her bag at the center of the table. Her eyes throwing dagger at him.

"Isn't it quite immature to think you can always do whatever you want? Just because you are the most feared business man doesn't mean...

"Go straight to the point miss.. I have no time to spare" He cut in.

Did he just cut her off?.. what the fuck!

"Mr Demonic. First, I hate it when someone interrupt whenever I speak. I just want to tell you this-" She paused and lean close.

"What ever you are planning to do, stop it. Withdraw that marriage or you'll bring misery upon yourself" she warned.

Enzo who was also in the room felt the tension between them. This is not gonna end well.

Dominic finally get her word. His lips slowly curve up little. Did she just threaten him. Well among the threat he had received, hers is the most interesting one.

Chantel watch him stand on his feet. 'Fuck! He's huge'.

He rest both hands on the table drawing his face close to look at her closely.

"Bring it on, cus your threat is not going to stop me" He said calmly with a smile.

Chantel expected this. Her lips stretched up as stands.

"Don't say I didn't warn you" she said turning back to leave.

Enzo let out the breath he was holding but his eyes widened when he spotted something.

"B..b..boss?" He stuttered moving backward with his eyes widened like that of the moon.

"What?" Dominic raised his brow.

"B..b..boss t..the..re" Enzo stuttered again.

Dominic traced his gaze and his eyes widened Spotting it too.

A snake!!!!

Dominic jumped out of his chair immediately.

"Arghhhh!!!!!!!!!!"

Outside the office Chantel put on her glasses after hearing what she wants to hear and then walk away.

'This is just the beginning' she smirked.
