Chapter 1 A marriage proposal

A Rolls-Royce boat tail stopped at a large building. A finely dressed Man came down from the car and went to open the door for someone. The reporters outside the building began to snap rapidly when a tall figure got down from the car.

They couldn't help but gushed at his beauty.

His black retro suit hugged his muscular body perfectly, a red handkerchief could be seen folded neatly in his front chest pocket.

Glancing down, was a pair of perfectly straight legs leading to a pair of well polished black shoes. Although he was wearing a sunglasses.. his perfect jaw line, sharp nose and sexy lips are enough to drive any woman crazy.

Dominic Winfrey the president to Sky co-operation, his ways of treating business is ruthless. No one dares go against him.

His aura was like a madevil King.

"Mr Dominic, a word please?"

"What do you have to say about the rumour"

"We need explanation"

"The rumour aren't true.. right?"

"Please say something.."

The reporters kept pushing each other to take pictures. He got back from a business trip just to hear a rumour of him being a gay since they hardly see him with a woman.

No doubt, this rumour must have started from one of his competitor. The five bodyguards didn't give the reporters the chance to even touch him. On his side, was his trusted assistant.

He sat in his shinny black office chair while flipping the document before him with one hand. His sliver eyes held no emotion as read the content in the folder. The two men standing before him couldn't utter a word because of the chilling aura in the room. He closed the folder, then rest his chin on his finger before raising his gaze to them. He was quiet.

As the silence dragged on, one the men opened up to speak. "This rumour is affecting the company greatly sir..."

"Don't you think I know that?" Came a cold question from the man in seat. "The chart shows that our sales have dropped by 10%. How unimpressive Enzo. Any other update?" Dominic asked his assistant.

"The shareholders are in a hot seat right now. I don't think the unpleasant news is going to get down soon but we are trying our best to make sure it doesn't affect the company" Enzo assured.

"A pose of threat? People are sure desperate, Did you find out who let out this strange rumours?" Dominic asked caressing the silver ring on his index finger.

"According to my research sir, it shows that this rumour might have come from the Braun co-operation. Judging from how hostile they are since they were flabbergasted on how the company had expand" Enzo explained hoping this information might help them.

Dominic glanced at each photos he pulled out from the envelope. It shows a woman talking to the reporter who started the rumour. "She's an employee in the Braun company" Enzo added not waiting for him to ask.

"The Braun are quite immature to think this could demoralize the company my family built hard for" His eyes turned icy cold as he spoke with ferocity.

"Keep this safe, don't expose it to the press yet. It won't help for now until the rumour is vindicated. Meet with the press and find a way to bring this rumours down" he hand the pictures back to him.

"Yes sir" Enzo nodded. That's one thing he likes about his assistant. Always active.

"Also, I need you to find suitable suitors for me. An independent one to be precise. Make sure you go deep on her background, very important. I want every single details about her. Make the report brief and well written. This should be ready as soon as possible" He requested.

"Yes sir" he bow lightly and left the office to get ready for the new tasks given to him.

[AIRPORT]

Two ladies stood impatiently at the airport. One kept biting her finger while the other one was busy playing with her dress. Their eyes was scanning furiously at the crowd.

"Where is she?" Maltida muttered biting more of her finger. She was wearing a big top and a normal trouser.

"Oh Gosh, I can't wait to see how she looks. It's been two years" Laila, traditional India girl with her hair covered with a beautiful fabric.

"I know right?" Matilda muttered.

"By the way stop bitting your fingers" Laila scolded.

"I can't help it"

The crowd slowly reveal a tall figure. Perfect curvy shape, her hips sways at each steps she took. Her crop top reveal her tummy, a ring was one her belly button. Her long slender legs led to a pair of black heels matching with her black penciled trouser. A black sunglasses rested on her perfect sharp nose.

"OMG! I think I just spot and angel is that really Chantel" Maltida mouth dropped as she slowly drop her finger.

"I almost didn't recognize her" Laila stuttered.

"Hey bitches!!!" Chantel screamed when she spot them stretching her arms wide.

"Arghhhh!!!!" Both Laila and Maltida screamed at once as the both to hug.

People passing by gave them a look.

"I missed you so much!!" Maltida squealed resting her head on Chantel shoulder.

"How could you have forgotten us.. gosh look how beautiful you are. I'm so jealous!!" Laila pinched her cheek.

"We should celebrate your comeback, a club night tomorrow?"

"Yes, it's been long I got wasted" Chantel smiled.

After a 30 minutes ride, She got to her own apartment. She lives alone. No strings attached but she loves her privacy.

Her phone rang almost immediately she walked in. It was a video call from her mother.

"Look who's in New York!" Mrs Katerina grin happily as soon as she appeared on the screen.

"Hey Mom" Chantel smiled pulling off her shoes using her feet.

"Gosh I missed you, how was your journey and time in China?" She asked.

"My journey is stressful and my time in China was damn frustrating. I can't even eat their food" Chantel said and they both chuckled. "Gawd I miss home"

"We missed you so much. Come visit home tomorrow okay? We all can't wait" Mrs Katerina said.

"All?..." Chantel asked having a doubt in her voice. If everyone misses her then her father is definitely not among them.

"C'mon Chantel he missed you too but didn't show it though"

"Yeah of course he wouldn't. I left because he keeps telling me what I should and should not do" She rolled her eyes.

"It's for your own good Chant" Mrs Katerina called her in short in which she loves to hear.

"Oh really? So why did he want me to come back?" She asked.

For a moment, Mrs Katerina eyes changed but she quickly compose herself.

"You'll find out once you come here dear" she answered.

After a while of silence, Chantel replied. "Okay, bye I'll see you tomorrow" She said.

"Bye my love. You look so cute, I wanna kiss your cheek"

Letting out a light chuckle, Chantel end the phone called before going upstairs. Undressing herself, she went towards the bathroom to freshen up.

Sweeping her hair backwards, her small rose tattoos on her left shoulder was revealed.

After taking her dinner she collapsed on the bed and let out a sigh.
