Chapter 4 The Party

Steve's P.O.V

I really don't know why I am sweating because I haven't turn to see who it was yet. Who can it be at 11:30, I had make sure everyone is asleep before I made my move. I just pray it shouldn't be my mom; I really don't know what I would tell her. I can still try to explain to my dad but my mom; No. The person who turn on the light didn't say anything, I turn around slowly hoping it my dad or Tony only to find Emma with a glass of water.

"Emma?" I say softly sightly relived it's not my mom. She closes the fridge and walk towards me.

"Where are you going?" She asks as she sip her glass of water.

"I...am going for a night class in which I'll be back soon but please do not tell anyone about it" I tell her.

"You're lying" she says as she take another sip.

I feel like I'm been interrogated.

"It doesn't matter, just don't tell on me okay" I plead with her. She stretches her tiny arm. Knowing what she want I reach my pocket for some change and hand it over to her. I turn to leave immediately. Just as I reach outside, I board the taxi I chartered for the night. It wasn't easy to find one though. Thanks to Lydia.

Reaching my destination, I pay the taxi, slam the door behind me and start to walk towards a two storey building. I could hear the sound of music from the inside. I guess it is not as loud as I thought it would be. I take a deep breath as I walk through the gate and regret it immediately. The lawn is full with people way out my league. I can see some guys covered in tattoos taking hard drugs. some have a girl straddling them, their private parts are hardly covered.

I gulp hard as I push myself to keep walking. 'there's no turning back' my thought tells me. I notice a guy caressing a lady butt roughly as they kiss passionately just around the coner. The girl roughly grab his hair as she deepens the kiss while the guy trace her tight using his finger. They suddenly stop kissing as the guy eyes move towards me. I quickly move my sight away from them. I blink my eyes several times and wish I hadn't come here in the first place. Telling my mom is better. She could have just hit me several times and that's all.

"Hey" A deep voice interrupts my thought. I gulp hard for the third time since I got here. This person in front of me is damn huge! He is probably three times my size. One punch from him and I will be a goner. Him standing at the door, I automatically think of him as the guard.

"Hmm" I reply trying my best not to show I'm scared or anything.

"What are you here for?" He ask with his thick voice making me to cringe a little. I notice his eyes take in my outfit but he didn't say anything.

"I'm here to see Ariel" that weird girl. if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here; I should probably be sleeping on my soft bed right now.

"Card?" He asks giving me a snubby look. He seems not to expect me dressed in a blue big sweater to the party. I reach my pocket, pull out the card and hand it over to him.

"Careful" he smirk and open the door to let me in.

I thought the music isn't that loud but damn! my head is banging right now. I push myself through the bunch of people dancing weirdly even when I don't know where the fuck I'm going.

I probably won't see Ariel, looking at the amount of people in the house. I finally find a safe spot, well not really that safe but at least there is only small amount of people there drinking of course. The smell of alcohol fill my nostril causing me to feel irritated. I think i should probably leave.

"Steven" I hear someone calls, do I know anyone here? "Is that you?" I spot the person, it turns out to be one of Ariel's friend I saw the other time. Thank God! At least I have some hope.

"Woah! I can't believe you'd come!" She says with a light smile on her face. Her dress barely covers her body just like every other girls in the house. Her thick make up glitters under the dim light.

"Where's Ariel?" I ask immediately.

"Calm down boy! don't be in a hurry, have some fun!" she says showing her white teeth. Some fun? This is definitely no fun.

"No thanks, but I need to leave as soon as possible so please can you tell me where I can find Ariel?" I ask in a frustrating tone.

"Fine then come with me" she says as she leads me through the crowd. She finally stop beside a table and grab the drink on it.

"So where is she?" I ask since I can't see any sign of Ariel.

"You'll see her soon" she tells me as she pour the liquor in her mouth.

The music stop, a guy dress in a yellow shit and a blue crazy Jean comes out with a mic in his hand. He hype the crowd before he announce the incoming singer on the stage.

"Let's give it up for..." Before he could finish his statement, the crowd shouts in excitement calling the name I've been waiting to hear; Ariel!

"Ariel!"

"We love you Ariel!!"

"Can you please produce you own music so I can hear it every fucking day!!"

"Ariel.. please Marry me!!"

"Can I get a hug from you!!"

"Can I be your fuck buddy?!!"

I snap my head towards the crowd. Who the fuck said that?

The light goes off as everywhere turns dark. Everyone eyes was on the stage when the light turns on again. The smoke on the stage disappear slowly showing a girl. Her name is written on her Jean jacket and there she is, the girl I've been craving to see; Ariel.

Ariel P.O.V

I raise my right hand holding the microphone tightly. Hearing the crowd screaming my name is fucking amazing. I close my eyes feeling the moment for some seconds before showing them what I've got. Singing is what I love the most, but sadly my asshole dad refuses to let me do it. At least singing here gives me the joy I've been craving for. Feeling the moment I spot Nancy and wave at her and she do the same. I notice the guy beside her it take me some seconds before remembering him. I can't believe he actually come. I can see the smile on his face looking amaze.

"That was awesome Ariel" my boyfriend Johnny says to me after my performance. He grab my chin gentle and kiss me softly on the lips.

"Thanks" I tell him giving him a light peck on his jaw. He is fucking handsome with the smile on his face. He roughly grab my butt and I giggle.

"Bad boy" I chuckle.

"You made me bad" Johnny says. We've been dating for a year now. He is not really the best so far. The only problem I have with him is his anger and jealousy. "C'mon let's go" he grab my wrist and leads me to our group.

On getting there, Nancy with three of our friends with the maths guy making them five. I can't really recall his name, I don't care though. He seems to be impatient with the way his leg is shaking. He is wearing blue big sweater with a black big Jean looking a bit weird and cool at the same time. I sit on the couch opposite him while I watch Johnny talk to him.

"Hey!" Johnny call and he look up to him. "You must be..."

"Steven" he stand and shake jonny's hand. I could see a slight of fear in his eyes. I can't blame him. Johnny can be scary sometimes.

"Ariel's tutor right?" He ask, Steve look at me and frown a little. Probably because he hasn't agree on my term yet.

"Yes" he reply surprisingly.

Johnny comes to sit with me and throw his arm around me while I straddle him. Not taking his eye off Steve.

"He kind of look cute babe, I'm afraid I might change my mind" Johnny wispher while he grab his liquor.

"I'm all yours babe, nothing can separate us" I assure him, his eyes finally leave Steve as he stares into mine.

"You sure? You are going to prove it tonight you know?" He peck me and we both giggle.

"Steve! Come on out, we need to talk" he stand and leaves while Steve look at me before following him.

Nancy stands and come to sit beside me. "He kind of look cute with the glass on" she smiles.

"I also think the same thing, I wish he could be my private tutor" Kira says.

"What?" Mike her boyfriend says raising his brown.

"Just joking" she smile. That doesn't look like a joke to me. she's serious on what she said. God knows how many guys she had fucked behind Mike's back.

"Better be, cus I think I'll be the one to get him" Nancy says and I roll my eyes. I wonder where they've gone off to. I'm a little bit worried about Steve.

"Ariel, is everything alright... you're not saying a word... missing your boyfriend already?" Daniel tease.

"Nah, I'm just worried about the wired guy.. I just hope Johnny would go easy on him" I smirk.

Johnny and Steve comes out after some minutes. Looking at Steve expression, Johnny definitely did not go easy on him. He hold the watch in his hand tightly. I could see a slight of anger in his eyes but he Force a smile.

"C'mon have some fun, don't be a weirdo" Johnny says to Steve as he sits beside me.

"Uh...no thanks I have go" Steve says and leaves.

"What did you tell him?" I ask once Steve left.

"Oh don't worry babe. It's just some guys talk, everything will be fine. He'll start tutoring you starting from Monday. Promise to give me update okay?" He says softly.

"Sure, thanks" I tell him while he pulls me closer.

After chat for a while, I feel myself getting press I excuse myself and go upstairs to the guest bathroom. After doing what I have to do, I decide to remove my dress leaving only my undies on. I splash water on my face several times and look myself in the mirror. Johnny had been acting weird these days and I suspect him having an affair.

"Johnny is the best man for you, marry him no matter what" I could hear my asshole dad's voice in my head. I haven't seen him in months and he caused it. My mom, only God knows the last time I saw her.

I hear the second bathroom door open, probably a drunk lady came here to vomit.

"Oh, my God!" I say seeing it's a drunk guy in the ladies bathroom. It takes me a while before I realize who it was.

"Steve?"
