Chapter 5 Taken

Allen is startled awake when the trunk of the car opens, and two hands grab her and pull her up and out. She can't remember what happened or what's going on now. She's confused and dizzy, and when she's freed from the boot and her chains, she finds herself in the darkness of night. Where is Alexander?

It doesn't take her long to remember everything, and when she does, the gravity of the situation hits her like a baseball hitting her in the gut.

Allen has no idea where she is, and she doesn't know if it's the same night as when she was taken or if a day has already gone by. After all, it's hard to know how much time has passed when you're in the back of a car; it's always dark, and you can only hear the engine going.

Even worse, Allen doesn't know where they are taking her. They could be taking her to a lake or river with big stones tied to her feet, or they could be taking her to an acid tank far from any town. The fact that there are so many options is really scary.

But when Allen's head stops spinning so much, she sees that they are stopped in front of an old warehouse on the edge of town. Allen doesn't feel any better because she can't hear water running in the background or see any tanks in the area. She knows that she could also die inside the building and that it could take a long time.

She just wants them to take care of her son, and if they hurt her heartbeat, she will definitely come back and haunt them.

Allen starts to feel scared all over again when she thinks about her sweet baby. She can't get away from the men's tight grip as they lift her up and move her toward the building.

Allen sees at least ten cars parked in front of the warehouse as he walks the short distance to the door. A few people with rifles are spread around the warehouse. From what she can tell, they are probably guards, but Allen only recognizes Liam. The man is a few meters ahead of her and is also going straight toward the warehouse's front door.

Allen watches in horror as Liam goes into the house and worries about what will happen to her when she gets there.

When Allen is pulled into the building, the lights temporarily make her unable to see. But her eyes quickly get used to the light, and Allen can see many of the same men who were there when she was taken. The only faces she recognizes are Liam's and, of course, Braze's. There are also some new known faces, and Damon isn't there, which means he's taking care of Alexander, which is great because Liam is the only one who isn't crazy.

Also, there is her ex-husband.

He is standing next to a long table that is next to a tall wall with paint that is peeling off. He is having a quiet conversation with Liam and Braze while looking at whatever is on the table.

Allen feels sick to her stomach when she sees the show set up on the table.

There are many different kinds of ropes, tapes, guns, and knives, both big and small. There are even things like brass knuckles, tools, and other weapons that Allen has never seen before but that look very scary.

At that moment, maybe for the first time all night, Allen realizes for sure that she is going to die today. Not only that, but she can tell from the way the tools are set up that her death will probably only come after an endless amount of pain.

Allen is thrown to the ground on her knees. Two men don't let go of her arms to keep her from falling since her feet and arms are still tied.

When Sebestian spots that they've arrived, he continues his conversation with Braze and Liam for a little longer before he eventually turns around and begins to slowly walk up to Allen, like a predator finally having its prey surrounded and getting ready to kill it.

Sebestian's eyes are just as cold and nasty as they were just a few hours ago, and they are still full of threats to hurt and ruin her. Allen can't stop her eyes from filling with tears again, and the look in Sebestian's eyes scares her more than anything else she has ever seen. She tries to pull away from the man, but the two men have such a tight hold on her that she can't do more than make small wiggles.

Sebestian doesn't say anything. He just keeps smoking a cigarette and looking at her. Allen can smell the strong smell of the smoke.

Everyone else in the warehouse is completely quiet as they wait nervously (or excitedly) for their leader to make the next move.

Sebestian finally says, "We're going to have so much fun, baby," as he puts out his cigarette and throws the ash onto the concrete floor right in front of Allen.

"But don't worry, no one will touch you. I don't want my beautiful wife to have scars on her body."

Allen gave him a look of restraint.

"I'm going to show you the real me, so you'll never dare to leave your husband again."

He then grabbed her by the jaw and said, "And you know how bad I am, my little fairy."

That nickname.

That nickname that he gave her when they met in high school

"Tell me, my little fairy," he continues, his voice permeated with pure venom and bitterness, "did you seriously think that you could fucking outsmart me?"

Allen doesn't move an inch; she is not physically able to say anything with her mouth, and she is too scared to otherwise react to the rhetorical question. When Sebestian doesn't get a reaction out of his beautiful wife, he squats down in front of Allen and looks her dead in the eyes before slapping her cheek painfully in one quick swoop. Allen lets out a muffled cry, her cheek instantly stinging from the impact.

"You can't fuck hide from me. You are fucking taking my son away. Oh, baby, I will make sure you see the monster inside me. I will make sure you will be scared to even think about leaving me."
