Chapter 5 The Game of Intrigues and Rewards

CHAPTER FIVE

Laura got a feeling that this isn't an argument she's winning.

She lose her focus as she follow the flicker of his eyes down to her body. Oh Dem this man, he was scanning her.

"I would like an apology, if that's not to mush to ask" Laura gave up.

"If you say so!" The Corner of his mouth pull up in a smirk as he casually said his apologize. " If I may ask, will you like having a sip of red wine with me?" Laura look at his case to inspect him, she was relieve to see a genuine concern on his face.

"No!, I think liquor will for now" she said with a sad face.

"Now can we know our self more. I think the way we met early wasn't good at all, let's start all over again...! I'm Liam and am sorry for earlier" Liam extends one his one hand out towards her, offering a hand shake.

"I'm Laura, am really sorry to I am just stressed out" she complained.

"Mind telling me what happened?, You really look stressed out" his concern warmth a place in her heart.

Laura told him all that has happened to her, she don't know why but she feels relief after telling him all her problem.

"So what do you intend doing? or don't tell me you will just sit here and cry your eyes out" Liam ask

" no I can't, they all have to pay. I want them suffer, yes the must suffer like me" she cried.

"So how will you make them pay? Cuss from the look of things they have blocked your credit card as well as your debit card"

"Well your right, I really don't know what else to do. But I will probably do anything, I mean just anything to make them pay" she said with her eyes wide open.

" I think I have a plan then!" Liam cold voice ran nonchalantly in the dark besides her.

"You do?" Laura was curious

"yeah, the best one at that!" he answered looking at her. Something about his eyes defies duplication, and just looking at it makes her heart goes blank.

Right now Liam seems to be a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunshine in her arguably monochromatic life. Speaking to him only solidified her belief on taking her revenge.

The two continued having a pleasant chat for long time before she suddenly decided to use the restroom.

As she struggles through the crowd, she saw a man and a woman standing on her way. The man keeps touching the woman ass no matter how many times the woman tried to pay off his hand.

'Harassment', Laura thought carefully. With the alcohol in her system, she takes the courage to walk up to them.

Laura then punch the man's face. "Leave her alone! That was sexual harassment" she warns the man.

The woman then scream laud " What on Earth are you doing?, He wasn't harassing me!". The man then cover his face with his hands. "Have you lost your mind, you crazy bitch?, She's my girlfriend" .

"What...?!" Laura was confused, then turn to face the girl in any hint that can tell her that the girl was in trouble but then only did she realized that the girl was looking at her in total disbelief. "So he wasn't pestering you?" Laura still ask.

"No he wasn't, that was a little game between us" the woman confirm.

"Come on, if you haven't touched her that way, I wouldn't have mistaken the situation!" Laura now put all the blame on the man.

"I'm sure it's none of your business how I make out with my girlfriend. It was you who interrupted us and make a scene! Now look at what you have done to me! I really need competition for my loss" The man said .

"I'm really sorry about her action, she's a little stressed out. Look take this and we will leave" Liam then gave his wrist diamond watch to the man and takes Laura outside with him.

He drove Laura back to her appointment and exchange contact with her. "Well, this is my stop. I'll see you later Liam. It was nice to meet you" Laura said her good bye.

"Uh, yeah. It was nice meeting you too.... I will probably call to inform you about the plans" he said

"Ok"

He entered his car and drove away, leaving her all alone. The rest of the night, Laura couldn't help but think about Liam's plan to take her revenge but finally, after a couple of hours she fell asleep.

The next morning, it took soon effort for Laura to open her eyes as she groaned and arduously sat up on the bed. "Ooh..." her whole body ached and she could see black dots floating her vision.

" How long did I drink last night? I haven't had a hangover for a very long time, but this feelings could hardly be confused to anything else" she complained. She had a splitting headache and a bitter taste in her throat, her limbs did not obey her as well.

Laura spend the rest of the morning making soup to cure here hangover then took her laptop to check some mail sent by Josephine. For sometime, she was tired and decided to have as much rest as she want. After all, it was weekend and she had earned herself a bit more Dreamland time.

A weak later.

'RIIIIIIIIING', 'RIIIIIIIIING'

"I don't.... Want to. Get up. Yet" Laura shout.

'RIIIIIIIING', 'RIIIIIIIIING' Laura phone keeps ringing non stop.

"ARGH! Stop ringing!" Laura threw a pillow at the unexpected phone call, Then she decided to answer the call.

"Yawn, Hello?!" she picked up not checking who the caller is.

"Laura?! get up, don't you dare miss this opportunity to meet Mr. Gil today" Laura heard a familiar cold voice rang and immediately realized it was Liam. Oh, she totally forgot about the plan if meeting Mr. Gil.
