Chapter 6 Unexpected

Elsa's presence in the VVIP room of a renowned hospital in this country was met with a warm smile from Wicaksono.

It's rare to see Grandpa smiling like this. His face used to be so serious. Maybe his illness has worsened again, causing some mental disturbance.

Confused by her usually distant foster grandfather's warm demeanor, Elsa could only ponder silently.

Since Nani and Vela appeared within the family, Elsa had started to feel neglected and treated as if she were just someone coincidentally present while fulfilling the conditions to find Wulan and her child. There was also a binding agreement between them. Wicaksono's attitude grew colder due to Nani's influence.

However, this time seemed different, with a genuine smile and a happy face adorning Wicaksono's expression upon seeing Elsa.

"Grandpa is happy he can still meet you, El."

Elsa became even more puzzled by his words.

Elsa watched as Rendi approached the cabinet. Without diverting her gaze, Elsa followed every move of the well-built man.

Rendi turned around, holding a folder containing the results Wicaksono had mentioned. He handed the folder to Elsa.

"Open it, El. Read it carefully," Wicaksono commanded.

"What is this, Grandpa?" Elsa asked, opening the folder slowly.

"Just read it. If you don't understand, Rendi will explain everything."

Elsa's focus, once fixed on Wicaksono, shifted to the contents of the folder.

Instantly, she was puzzled when she saw a table with unfamiliar words and numbers. However, her surprise deepened when she read the letterhead that was the essence of the examination results. It contained the results of a DNA identification. Below it, it stated who had conducted the examination. Handi Wicaksono was listed as the suspected father, and Elsa Wicaksono was listed as the child.

Growing more curious, Elsa scanned each piece of information on the paper. Reading every word that would later provide her with an understanding.

Elsa's intelligence was unquestionable. She refrained from asking until she fully comprehended everything to the best of her ability.

Finally, she grasped the meaning behind the examination results. Elsa and Handi shared many similarities, as shown in the table. The written explanation indicated that Handi was the biological father with a 99.99% likelihood, making Elsa's heart race and her pulse quicken.

"Grandpa, what is this? Are Father and I not unrelated? Is he my biological father? Is this true, Grandpa?"

It was understandable that Elsa couldn't believe it. Ironically, they were brought together by a completely unexpected turn of events.

Elsa's heart was moved hearing the words spoken by Wicaksono. It was like a dream that she never imagined could come true.

Elsa smiled and hugged Wicaksono to reassure him.
